Well, where I'm from magic is - well, in theory it's very powerful. When you're working with magic, like making something magical or inventing a new spell or summoning something, it's incredibly dangerous. But that's not spells. Spells are limited, and you have to prepare them in advance if you want to use them. Your world's magic sounds like what wizards had in the old days, the days of sourcery. All wizards then were mad with power and constantly destroying the landscape in service of petty grudges.

"Good night everyone, ribbit!" Tsuyu called as she left the common room. She received a chorus of 'good night's right back as her friends waved her off. She couldn't understand just how they got along with as little sleep as they got.
Curled up in her bed and sleeping soundly, the hero-in-training was oblivious to any machinations by any godlike entities. All she knew was that she was abruptly woken up when being plunged right into some snow.
Not the best wakeup, that was for sure. She let out a croaky yelp and hopped quite high in the air. Scrambling a bit, she looked around herself in confusion, trying to make sense of the odd forest she was suddenly dumped in.
The only thing that could top it in weirdness was the sight of some... animals, she supposed? No, wait, they were pokemon, weren't they? Tsuyu never really had time to play, but her little sister was obsessed with the games. She could recognize that they at least looked like pokemon.
"Hello?" she croaked, awkwardly.
I say that aloud too sometimes, just: "man, no life."
Shao Kahn turned his head and wiggled his ear. "Another hero? Looks like this band is just getting bigger and bigger. We're trying to find... something."

"Your world's sorcerers describe 95% of wizards from my world with a huge dose of idiots and lacking common sense. My world is also very tough and heals easily fortunely. Also, someone else has joined our group. I'm one of the very few smart wizards. Though I have accidently caused noodle incidents, but that's something all wizards do. I'm just more careful about it. Most of the time."

"hey Kermit, long story short, this world is about to end or something so a godly llama sommuned a bunch of heroes from different worlds to find out what's happening and how to stop it, and it also transformed us into a bunch of furries to fit into this realm" Jhonny summoned up as well as he could to try to get the newcomer up to speed.
"We're trying to reach the nearest town so unless you wanna freeze I think you should better come with us"
Tsuyu wasn't sure what was going to happen after she greeted the pokemon. It certainly wasn't that they'd start talking. Despite the surprise, she was taking it rather well, it seemed. Her eyes couldn't get much wider, so she just stared at the talking pokemon for a few seconds before the one who called her Kermit's words caught up to her.
Slowly, she looked down to spot her own arms, which were suddenly bright blue. "Oh, I see, ribbit," she croaked, idly patting herself as if to test that this was all real. "I'm only a hero-in-training right now, but I don't think that matters very much in such an odd situation, ribbit."
She hopped closer to the others, moving on four legs as if she were a natural. Not that hard, since she was, really. Hopping on four legs was already her main mode of running, now she just had to move like that even when moving slowly.
"I'd rather not freeze, no," she deadpanned, "just being here is already making me sleepy, ribbit. I can keep up, though."

"Well, I don't think I've seen many Frogs or Toads. Then again, I don't many talking animals all that often. I do remember a Pikachu from back then, but that was it. And I'm not sure that really counts as an animals." Shao Kahn turned to Johnny Cage for a sec. "For the record, 'furry' is an actual specific thing. That doesn't apply to all Pokemon. Though you'd arguably apply considering you're humanoid. So would the frog over there. Oh, speaking of, I am Shao Kahn, former Emperor of Outworld, current Protector of Earthrealm. And a former deity. Who would you be?"
"who gives a fuck? I was just making a sarcastic comment, what does it matter how acurate it's, don't act like those know it all trolls that always feel like correcting people" Jhonny Cage responded annoyed at the critizicism given by Kahn he was not gonna get lectured by kung fu hitler.
Before the discossion could get heated the frezzing cold started to get even worse as the snow arround them seemed to moved upwards carried up by some kind of pine tree, and after the first one started to appear 2,3,4... until they were like 20 sorrunding the party of heroes and they started to open a couple of holes in their upper side revealing they had eyes.
They were a band of Snovers and the first one to came out was the first one to talk.
"what do we have here? a group of unevolved travelers what are you all doing here by yourselves, you know this place can be dangerous for underdeveloped pokemon like you to go around by yourself but don't worry we can make sure you arrive safely at Snowy Town, for the low prize of every poke and item you have on you" the rest of them began to laugh creepily after he was done with his threatening speech.

"I'm sorry, we don't have anything of value on us."
At the same time she decides it's time to make use of her magic... by making a snowball. Yes this looks dumb but... she secretly adds earth magic to the center of it. Why? A Snowball with a rock in it counts as a NORMAL weapon and thus no one would suspect her of being a wizard to outsiders.
"We can travel on our own, so please leave us be."
She is still holding the snowball in her right hand... it's just an inert grenade... throw it like one. Right at their stupid faces...

Ridcully, meanwhile, is nowhere near as subtle as that. (Although, he isn't using magic...)
"Excuse me, young man?" He glowers at the leading Snover. "Do you see this hat? This is a wizard's hat. I am a wizard. My friend there?" He gestures towards Briya. "Also a wizard. Do you really want to fight us?" On the Discworld, just about any criminal would back off from a wizard. Unfortunately for Ridcully, this isn't the Discworld.

Tsuyu's eyes glanced between the bickering fighters for a bit. She managed a muttered, "actually, I think the term for me would be scalie."
She was a teenager with internet access, she couldn't help but know some things.
While getting an introduction was nice, Tsuyu didn't get the chance to return one of her own. Instead, she had to fight the urge to just curl up and fall asleep as it somehow got even colder. Oh well, she's had to deal with worse situations to deal with villains.
"Like she said, we don't have any money or items, ribbit," she said, "you're really wasting your time with us." If she remembered her basics of pokemon, then she was in a lot of trouble as a water-type surrounded by grass-types. Not to mention her natural hibernation instinct. As much as she hated it, she had the feeling she'd be more of a liability than anything else if a fight broke out.

Shao Kahn facepawed again, and then saw the Snover group. "Ah, of course. People who think they can push others around. As if that were actually a good idea." He looked at the lead Snover and gave a very icy glare. "You have one chance to back off from us. Otherwise, you won't like what you deal with. Besides, you interrupted us. Not something you should ever do. He said with a particularly booming voice.
He didn't hear Tsuya, as super awesome hearing isn't in his natural abilities.
"you heard chritmas tree, we ddon't have nothing and evben if we did we're not gonna get intimidated by a bunch of vegan meals, so either you move out of the way or we teach you what real kombat is" Jhonny cage said as he got in fighting ready position.
"it's a real shame that you want to do this the hard way, brother teach this wimps how we battle in the snowy mountians" The Snover leader declared as he and the other 20 pokemon rushed towards the heroes ready to fight, Jhonny was able to push back the main one easily by hiting it away with a Shadow kick which was a move none of them was familiar with making him crash against a nearby tree and fall uncouncious, seeing how easily the strongest of their group was defeated the rest of the Snover fell down and tried to do the closest thing to kneeling that their little legs allowed.
"we're sorry please don't hurt us, we'll leave you alone"
"please don't kill our big brother, we're just hungry and it's hard leaving to find food this time of year"
"sniff, I want my mommy"
They began to beg and cried pathetically their bad boys personas falling down at the immediate sign of trouble for them.
"wow and I thought reptile was pathetic" Jhonny said almost dissapointed with how easy that was.
Shao Kahn blinked as it was all over, all ready to test his might. "Forget about it. But what you can do to help is tell us anything you know about the town we're heading to. Information is far more useful than anything else. Though if you want to come with us in case more hostiles show up so you can patch yourself up, that'd be fine too. At least, with me." He was clearly not once intimidated, but realized there were just a pack of bullies who never got beat once, just trying to survive. Kahn had a bit of soft spot for similar beings, much like the Tarkatans. "Incidentally, you should stop trying to pick fights with unwary travelers. This may happen again and not all are kindhearted."
He then offered a hand to the leader.

Briya just facepalms with her free hand and tosses the snowball aside away from the would be bullies.
"Just... be nicer and don't test your luck again."
She WOULD have used magic to get her point across if it came to that, and she was thinking of using FIRE magic based off how they looked... so they are very lucky in a sense.

Tsuyu leaned back onto her legs, ready to jump right into the fight. Sure, she was at a disadvantage, but she wouldn't let that stop her. Coiled like a spring ready to let go, she watched as one of the pokemon was immediately knocked out.
And then the fight was over. The snover were crying in fear. That sure made things a lot easier. "You don't have enough food, ribbit?" she asked, sympathy overtaking the anger at being mugged entirely.

The leader Snover recover enough to see Shao Khan helping hand up and to hear his kind words, he wasn't sure if he should trust him he was used to people being so nice and understanding to him before, he still took his hand thinking he could get more angry if he didn't took the offer.
"Thanks mister Nidoran, We can take you there if you want us too, but only to the outskirts, we aren't reallly welcome there" he said as the rest of his gang got up trying to recover some of their dignity.
"we don't have any options, if we don't bring enough tribute each month to our boss we could end up death" one of them told them explaining that there were even further reasons as to why they leave bullying and stealing from other.
"and doing that has made us pariah's to the village so either way we don't have any other options but to be muggers, they wouldn't let us get any honest jobs" another added.

She thinks for a moment. Oh boy. She sees a target. Their boss. Now that is someone who sounds like a scumbag.
"Well the easier solution is to let us deal with your terrible boss. From what you have said, they are to blame for your current situation."
She also wants to have a target she can test her magic on... one that no one will miss. Their boss is probably an ice type as well in theory... she thinks her magic is elementally like the attack types in most cases... and she could make spells to cover the types that are not normally covered. Fairy ain't covered in her base magic (ironically she IS a fairy type haha.

Shao Kahn nodded. "Ugh, that's horrible. I'd be glad to help. I've learned a lot over the years, and that ones like that don't deserve any power. Also, thank you for be willing to lead us as far as possible. That helps quite a lot.
"I don't think that's a good idea, everyone is aware of him but nobody cand deal with him in the village, they have a rescue guild but no one there has been able to beat him yet, he has defeat all of their best teams, and some haven't even return alive" the Snover leader warned.
"you're clearly strong but you're still underdeveloped, I don't think you will be able to deal with such a strong enemy, at least not yet" another one added in.
"Listen walking Christmas trees, I can asure you I can deal with whatever your boss is, I've defeated gods before" Jhonny Cage said reminising about Shinok.

"Well looks are deceiving. And I am quite capable of protecting myself. As are the others. After all, there must be a supply shop in the nearest town. I can buy supplies and prepare. After this we would go and confront your boss. We might join the guild anyways depending on our plans."
Ok yea they have no money, and she's not mentioning her magic at all. The guild part is not entirely lying though.
And lying is second nature to her after all.

Shao Kahn rubbed his chin a bit. "You do bring up a bit of a point. We did just arrive here. While he's unlikely to be nearly as strong as you say, we're barely a team right now. And that could spell trouble. It's not just about physical or even other kinds of might, it's about teamwork. That is how you essentially were able to get weary travelers' good for your boss, was it not?" He gave a small hammy laugh. "That said, that's definitely going to be an important priority. Now, how much of a stranglehold does he have on this area?" While he knew the team was strong by all means, jumping in headfirst is probably not going to end well, especially if he can't access all his abilities. What are the chances others would be able to?
As a previous Conqueror, he knew that there's strength in numbers. As well as being tactical and not putting all your eggs in one basket. Too many are overly hot-blooded and can easily throw themselves into a pickle. Especially from experience... as that's how he had gotten more than one hero at one point. Thankfully this set of people look to be a lot more competent as well as knowledge about this world. That could certainly help.
Kahn was pretty much deep in thought, as he still had his hand on his chin for a while now.
The snovers were pretty weirded out by how confident these travelers they were that they could take on their boss, even if at least they had the sense to get settled and look for some resources and items before going forward.

"and by the way your Froakie Friend seem like it's not taking the cold very well, maybe you should look for a Yache Scarf, it will normalize her temperature and allow her to mode as if it was summer"
The Snovers informed them as they began to march in direction towards the Town expecting the people to follow.
"well everyone let's get going, the soonest we get to a place with a ceiling and heat the better" Jhonny Cage said walking behind the Snovers.
As they guide them they informed the team that he had a strong hold in between the town and the only land entry forcing them to commercialize with other towns through air travel which was harder and more limited, since they either had to pay their minions passage or have their whole delivery and items stolen if they traveled through land, the guild isn't big or strong enough to get rid of the boss and it's forces, they only had an easy time with them because apparently they're the weakest henchpokemon and most others will be much tougher, it seems that their first goal in this land will have to be to liberate this forgotten land.
Ridcully is already jogging towards the source of the smoke. Oh, don't complain! Cold's good for your health - helps build stamina! That's what wizards these days need, stamina! Besides, there's nothing like a brisk pace to keep the cold off! By this point, he is ahead of the others, and showing no sign of stopping.
