Heavenly Nostrils/Phoebe and Her Unicorn

Haven't seen a thread after some searches so either just no one has gotten around to making it or hasn't been a demand for one.

But I'll be the person who starts it and hopes for the best.

Heavenly Nostrils is the original title when it was originally a webcomic, Phoebe and Her Unicorn is the name it received so that writer Dana Simpson could distribute it in book form and newspaper strip.

Have all 12 volumes of the published books and look forward to the next one ("Unicorn Famous" April 6 according to Amazon).

And Nickelodeon looks to be producing an animated adaptation of it (https://deadline.com/2020/06/nickelodeon-phoebe-and-her-unicorn-options-franchise-1202963565/)

While of course this is to have hopefully a more constant place to talk about this series some off-topicness is permitted just for the sake of making this a more relaxed thread.

Also I plan to do further edits to this post for a few straps that were altered or omitted from the book just to have every possible strip between on and offline.

Welcome in thread. And yeah it will be of course to discuss the strip since forums for it are non-existant and it had to be on one where a thread (heaven forbid) is in-active without closing.

But I'd welcome minor off-topic comments as I figured this fandom could use another corner of the web.

I stumbled across one of the books in the library and it's really cute. After a while the jokes start to repeat though. The webcomic in particular is hard to follow because there are so many repeats. My 8-year-old daughter loves it as well.

He strikes me as having a voice like Brian Posehn. A couple of his live roles include the Wedding Minister in Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer and Bert Kibbler in The Big Bang Theory.

Some notable animation roles include Octus/Newton in Sym-Bionic Titans and Cousin Larry from Kim Possible.

Anyone else thinks that voice would fit him?

Yeah same here. I read it a whiile ago, until it started feeling like the non-repeat strips were running too thin. At that point I kinda considered the comic finished.

But, it clearly did keep running for years past that. How is it doing about repeats nowadays?

Well, new books keep coming out, so I imagine she's doing new content pretty consistently. I think the repeats were mainly her redoing the earlier webcomics for print, so once she was serialized I doubt she had any need to do repeats.

The next published collection "Unicorn Famous" is again due April. Pre-ordered my copy.

A reading of one of the books by Dana Simpson with MLP voice actor Nicole Oliver joining in. Have to say she would be a good choice for voicing Marigold in the cartoon as well. I mean I do think of her at times to be like if Celestia lacked the need to behave in a regal manner or at times when she would be a little less ideal (like her bickering with Luna).

Depends on if the casting would be US, Canadian or both.

Unicorn Playlist came Tuesday. Unicorn Selfie is looking to come out April 2022.
