This RPG is set in the universe of the TV series Leverage and will use a modified set of rules from the Leverage : The Roleplaying Game system. Detailed knowledge of the system is not needed since the Game Master / Fixer (me) will be dealing with that and modifying rules as needed.

The city... the whole country... is supposed to be in quarantine. You're only supposed to go out for 'essential needs', and curiosity probably doesn't count as an essential need. Especially curiosity about something as innocuous looking as a business card.

On the other hand, you're not one to always play by the rules. Either you were just born that way, or you've had 'the rules' shoved in your face too many times by someone doing you and others wrong.

In any case, when you got the strange invitation, you decided to accept it. A business card, one side bearing a logo for 'Leverage International', and the other side with a hand-printed address for an uptown office and a time. Totally innocent looking... except each of you found the card waiting for you inside your home, with no sign of how the deliverer put it there.

You've all heard the rumors... whispers, fantasies, the 'what-if-it's-real' speculations. A group of modern day robin hoods, the ones who supposedly are secretly behind the recent strings on major corporations announcing executives being 'retired' or 'laid off' as various scandals come out in the press, or just someone in a position of power announcing he or she was quitting with no explanation except vague comments about 'health issues' or 'family obligations'. A dozen different stories or fables, with only the name 'Leverage' and a few details connecting them all. You're not willing (yet) to admit you believe any of it, but just the hope was enough to make you follow where the business card has led you.

It's led you to a large office building, almost completely empty, full of office areas for any company that wants to rent temporary space. You were a little surprised the doors were unlocked, and entering the building showed you an entry foyer where the help desk was closed and the only guidance a listing of what companies were located in the building. Cross referencing the directory with the floor and office number, you would discover you're being directed to the newly-rented office suite of "Archie Medes and Associates".

The inside of the office looks like a generic office area; a small reception area, with a hallway to various small offices leading to a large conference room. On the reception desk is a sign reading 'Rabbit hole that-a-way' with an arrow pointing to the open conference room door.

Following the arrow, you see the room full of generic office furniture that probably came with the space. The only person in the room is a dark haired young man, sitting at the table and busy working on a lap top. Instead of a suit or other formal attire, he's casually slouched in his chair and dressed in a black shirt and jeans. At his feat is a large duffel bag, also black.

Behind him is a newly installed set of a dozen high-end flat screen monitors, arranged to form a single 'wall' of information display. The monitors are currently set to display different security camera views of the building, both the exterior and interior. It's obvious that, if the man wanted to, he could have watched your entire journey through the building.

Without looking up from the monitor, the man speaks. "What's up, Doc?" he asks. "Oh, sorry, too soon? You'll pardon me if I don't shake hands. Or you won't pardon me; it's up to you. I'm told I can be a bit of a jerk, but I'm here to get your help taking down the REAL jerks." The man finally looks up as he presses a final button on the keyboard. The monitors on the wall behind him go dark, and then all twelve monitors change to show a single composite image.

Two floating logos: One for Con-Glam-O-Rate and the other for their subsidiary, Phobos Pharmaceuticals.

"My name is Chaos, and I asked you here to talk about why those guys.." Chaos says, jerking a thumb at the wall of monitors behind him. "...Need to be put down, and then to tell you how you all can be a part of making that happen... while making a nice chunk of change doing it."

Giant 'No' signs appear over the two logos, red circles with a slash down the middle, and then green floating dollar signs begin appearing around them.
