What's the oddest fake memory you have?

I have a VERY clear memory of being a little kid and going out in the backyard in the evening and seeing one of our cats choking on something. When I expressed concern over him, my dad comforted me by saying that after he finishes choking to death he will come back to life and be good as new. I'm pretty sure now I'm just remembering a bad dream or something I had (particularly due to the whole "cats have nine lives" thing, I may have actually believed it at the time), but it's so vivid.
