There's an old thread for Bad Machinery.
Aw rats...
Guess I'll take the news there.
Nah, it's fine to have a more general thread for things outside Bad Machinery (especially since it concluded like two years ago). I just posted it for ease of access.
Shoot, I already posted the news over there.
Eh, water under the bridge, I guess.
Anyway...
Giant Days was tons of fun, wasn't it? I'm bummed it ended this year...
I assume it was, I'm not really into buying physical copies so I wouldn't know?
I have other methods to read Giant Days besides buying physical copies, but they're sort of dodgy, so I'd have to PM you a method.
Anyhoo, John Allison was having an Ask Me Anything on Twitter in light of Wicked Things's announcement, so I asked him if anyone wanted to do an animated adaptation of any of his work, who should they ask for to have the go-ahead: either him or Boom Studios?
Here's his response.

There's a 100% legitimate method of reading Giant Days online. It's called Comixology. Indeed, it's what I used.
Incidentally, the Scary-Go-Round universe has a currently-active manifestation in https://bobbins.horse/ — and John Allison has a currently-active comic in the form of Steeple, which may or may not be set in that universe. (John hasn't said so, and it doesn't share characters, but it has a lot of SGR-classic feel.)

Thought now was a good time as any to discuss the oddly endearing world as curated by John Allison.
Who is John Allison? He's a British webcomic writer (and usually artist) for what is called the Bobbinsverse, composed of comics like Scary Go Round, Bad Machinery and Giant Days.
The characters have a distinct tone of speaking that teeters between absurd, sarcastic, and hyperbolical and it's fun AF to read.
So why now of all (giant) days? Because Boom Studios recently revealed a miniseries called Wicked Things, featuring former teen detective now rather grown-up Charlotte "Lottie" Grote solving real true blue crime.
If you know her, you'd be all "OH FLIPPING WOW."
So without more ado, discuss.
