Can't change my avatar.

I just joined, and have been approved by the moderators. The avatar setting said that I couldn't change it until I was approved, but I still can't. From what I've read, you're supposed to upload an image, than click it in the avatar picture gallery to select it. I've done this, but nothing changed. Am I doing this wrong? Or is it a bug in the system?

I'm having the same issue. I've only edited and started wiki pages before but there is an avatar I like to use, and I can't seem to change to it the way OP describes.

Same here. Kinda disappointed all this time has passed since the original post and there has been no response from the moderators, because it's a pretty bad issue.
