Peter whips his head towards Victor, the eyes widened, then narrowing just as quickly. "You will do no such thing," he says, after a pause.

Street

“...That you? Or it saying that? Because I’ve been there.”

Streets — Spider-Man

"It matters so little that we may as well drop the facade. We know who you are. We couldn't trust you as far as we could toss you."

Eires replaced a glass on the rack and frowned.

Saturdays.

The place was busy but at least Ricky had finally snapped into shape, pulling his weight.

-Eires, an envelope came in earlier-

-One marked with a weird wax seal, with instructions to deliver to “a bear and bird”-

-Huh-

They looked over the envelope again in a moment, curious at it. Certainly looked nice enough, but why did the bar receive it?

Streets — Spider-Man

Peter leaps off the streetlamp, shooting off webs towards Victor's hands as he shouts, "Really think about what you face!"

Streets

-Victor jumps back to avoid that, knowing his electricity is the only shot he has-

“I face a freakin alien parasite, I’ve seen Venom on the news! Not fooling me, E.T.!”

Bar

-Oh hey Banjo just walked in-

“Is that Eires working here?”

“Hey, Edward, how’s about two ginger beers?”

Peter lands on the ground in a three-point position — the symbiote has reformed slightly. His hands now look like claws; his feet are pointed. "Maybe not yet."

They tucked the envelope away as the duo approached.

"Two Moscow Mule lites, you got it."

A few seconds later and a couple of fresh sodas were solidly in place in front of them.

"You payin' per drink or starting a tab?" They joked.

PARK

-In the park, under a tree with a strange amount of shade, there sits a oddly dressed girl, nose deep in a book that seems waaaaaaaaaaay too large for her-

Street

-Victor sends another bolt his way-

“Please shut up.”

Bar

“Start a tab. I’m annoyed.”

“Now Kazooie, he’s really popular with some people so him getting invited makes perfect-“

“Last stupid time I get snubbed, gonna stop getting my hopes up.”

“She was excited ‘cuz she thought we were getting...it’s a long story.”

Park

-Next to her is...Ori! Doing the same!-

Peter leaps over it as he says, "Why? We're having so much fun!" as he spins weblines towards Victor's legs, trying to yank them out from under him.

Bar

"Getting- hey, wait up a sec."

They fished the envelope back out.

"We got this in the mail. You two don't know anything about it, do you?"

PARK

-She barely moves an inch, her eyes scanning the pages before the feeling like someone's way too close hits her and she turns her head-

...When did you get there.

Street

-Victor gets caught...on purpose?-

“...Y’know these conduct electricity?”

-...Oh-

-Zap!-

Bar

-Banjo takes the envelope and stares for several seconds-

“...I’m gonna cry.”

-That sounds sincere-

“...To this park or in general?”

Peter cries out — as does something high-pitched, otherworldly — as he lets the weblines go, falling hard and rolling on the floor. He looks up and shoots off more webs towards Victor's hands.

Bar

"...What is it?"

They handed it over, flipping the closed side with the wax seal up.

Street

-He let himself get hit again-

“What’d I just say?!”

-They conduct electricity and electricity doesn’t hurt him, so more bolts just come through at Peter-

Bar

“It’s a fightin’ tournament.”

“People always said they were gonna invite us but they never did...”

“N-now Kazooie, they may just want us as an assist or...”

“Banjo, don’t crush my dreams. Just open the envelope.”

PARK

-She reaches up to her ears and removes a pair of headphones that Ori could swear weren't there a second ago-

Here. Next to me.

Bar

Eires watched, glad for the solid minute's reprieve from their duties.

Streets — Symbiote

Peter's hit with multiple bolts, the symbiote starting to fray away from him before quickly reattaching to itself. Peter looks around for large objects nearby.
