Yep, a good surprise, it's a visual treat and the characters are quite likeable. I just hope it won't be too monotonous (no pun intended).
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I wonder why Hitomi hates her magic so much. Did she kill her parents with it? Did it cause her to lose the ability to see colors?
This will be an interesting series to watch, but there's not a lot to talk about until they reveal more about the characters.
I've gotten the impression that Hitomi's trip to the past was a one-way ticket, which feels excessive even for trying to help with someone with apparent chronic depression. On the other hand, it seems just as likely that Kohaku is trying to hook up her dork of a granddaughter with her dork of a friend. Which by all appearances will work out pretty well.
Episode 3:
Despite not seeing colors, Hitomi makes some beautifully colorful paintings.
If someone is walking on water, you probably shouldn't tell them they shouldn't be able to do it.
I was thinking that they were acting rather pushy towards Hitomi, but thankfully they realized that.
Being bad at something is no reason not to try!
Aww, Hitomi smiling just warms my heart.
Next episode: Granny's back! Gonna be gud.
The Totally Legal© streaming site I go to has episode 2 twice instead of episode 3…
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Yep, she's back. And she's gonna teach Hitomi-chan how to enjoy her life.
Speaking of which, do we have a stable time loop in here? I mean, her future sends Hitomi into the past because she already met her in "the present" as a teenager. Also, Kohaku said that she had been charging Magic for six decades for that - doesn't that mean, she began doing that pretty much as soon as she met Hitomi in "the present"?
Still better than my usual one, which has been 522-ing since Friday.
Finally saw ep 3.
Ayep. It almost looked like a Looney Tunes gag. But man, this girl really needs a self-confidence boost. Hopefully monochrome photography can give her that. Like, realizing there can also be beauty in a black-and-white world or something.
Or maybe she initially planned to use it for someone else?
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I still think that painting might suit her. He reckless use of colors was super interesting.
Uncertain Kohaku-chan is such a gap moe.
Didn't expect the in-universe reveal to come so soon. But it's better to get that out of the way I guess.
Kohaku's just as fun as I expected. And she's already shipping the other two.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Kohaku is amazing, no wonder everyone likes her. Seeing her flustered about her future husband was cute too.
Also, what's with that little hobbit door in their bedroom?
Japanese are really weird about names.
I get the feeling that those two are a thing.
Hitomi is getting better at magic. Man, this series just looks great.
Well, cat out of the bag, but everyone chill about it.
Leaving someone colorblind in charge of a shop full of magical colorful sand seems like courting disaster. I'm a bit surprised that nothing came out of it.
Nice to see Hitomi trying really hard at something, she's growing so fast!
Not terribly interested in that love triangle, especially since it's obvious Hitomi only has eyes for Aoi.
…Wait, does anyone know about her color-blindness outside of Aoi?
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Episode 6 was pretty trippy. The visuals of that dream (?) sequence were really gorgeous and unique. I didn't expect Hitomi to recover her colors so early, but I suspect it will only be temporary.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Yeah, that was a trippy dream sequence, and I'm still not sure what it's supposed to symbolize. Aoi acted like bit of a prick this episode. Hitomi regained colors? Huh, way earlier than I expected.
Well, it'd have been rather strange if she recovered her colors in the last episode. This feel like a kind of a show that would need to give Hitomi-chan time to readjust to seeing the world in colors - and will possibly throw some 'conflict' regarding that.
Perhaps, she might even end up giving her colors away for her love or something like that.
Episode 7:
Well, she went back to not seeing colors fast.
I love how even real magical fortunetelling still sounds like something you'd find in a newspaper horoscope.
Ah, youth and it's tribulations. The chief among them the feelings of inadequacy and uncertainty about the path you want to follow. This episode does a great job of showing that.
Psst guys, don't tell anyone, but I think Chigusa likes Kurumi.
So Hitomi decided to tell other's about her colorblindness. Now that I think about it, if they didn't know about it, why did they made her do monochrome photography?
…Damn, I knew it'd be temporary, but I didn't expect it to last exactly two minutes.
Yeah, I can totally get into Kurumi's shoes… I've gone through that…
They thought they were on time but the boat had already left. That pesky time change has stricken again.
Now what might make you think that, I wonder. I just realized the club is neatly split into three potential couples. Chigusa-Kurumi, Asagi-Whatshisname, Hitomi-Aoi. With poor Kohaku left over.
About the monochrome photos, I think Hitomi told them she wasn't good at using colors or something? (cf. her rather peculiar painting) They thought monochrome would make it easier for a start…

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME!
He's like a little boy teasing the girl he likes.
Don't worry about Kohaku, Hitomi's grandpa is somewhere out there.
Which is a shame, since I liked her bold use of colors.

Glasslip as it should have been, or at least, here's to hoping.
Japan has no daylight savings time.

The only resource you need for tropesEpisode 8: Kohaku is really serious about rigorous research when it comes to, matchmaking time magic making people happy.
Asagi still lacks the guts to confess. Typical.
Hum, so Hitomi wants to stay in the past. Not that surprising - from what we know of her life in the future, the only thing she cared about was her grandma, and she's right there in the past too- and they'd have much more time together this way too.
Kohaku's having fun for sure. Ah, Japan and First-Name Basis, always the weirdest source of blushing.
Hmm, Hitomi wanting to stay in the past makes sense, but let's suppose she marries and has children, won't it create a time paradox…?
But anyway, I loved the atmosphere in this episode. It's just sweet to see Hitomi smile and get more relaxed.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Episode 9: Have to say, this episode was not that interesting, mainly because it was a given that Hitomi would reject him.
Dunno why she felt bad about the situation, when it's Shou who suddenly dropped the confession on her.
OH god, we still have to deal with Asagi, don't we?
It was as predictable as it gets, but at least that's out of the way.
…I wracked my brain trying to remember where I had heard Asagi's voice before. And then it came back to me.
It'd be darkly hilarious if Ichinose Kana was typecast as the Unlucky Childhood Friend because of Ichigo.

This series is really, really good so far. It's a slow burner to be sure, and i think it works to the series advantage - I'm really invested in Hitomi's situation.
Also, the series just looks great.
