I can't help but raise my eyebrow at the LL v Shiki encounter. Okay, I get What Measure Is a Mook? is a nice thing to do, but it kinda makes LL come of as an absolute noob in a way? But what can you do?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Speaking of Shiki, the last page sets up something that I'm feeling is gonna turn out to be a Red Herring. LL has faaaaaar too many Larcade elements to him.

Also we finally get the first visibly pregnant woman in a Mashima work.

Guess that leaves Crow/Cure either for Shiki/Becca or Kleene/Jinn? The naked thing was just cringe at this point honestly. Does underwear hold back the full release of power here, did Becca really have to take her panties off for that time travel?

Also the whole mook thing just rings really hollow to me. They killed them just fine in the previous world, sure that one was "peaceful" like pulling the plug after beating up the patient trying to stop you from doing that. Like okay, I get it, I realize it's a really cold bastard thing to say, but I feel like even the plot itself doesn't know what it wants to do with bots sometimes.

Becca started to crack after just one time jump so in universe she might have actually needed to. Out of universe it was just a lazy way to get her naked.

Mashima's love of fan service can really hold him back sometimes.

I'll assume that Ziggyverse Shiki and Becca were just more of an item in that timeline? Or it's cause Laguna mixed them in a bottle during the Aoi War. That'd be funny, in a dark way.

Or it's a metaphysical pregnancy because of the shenanigans that caused the 20k year time travel. Who knows anymore. Like I assume Void's body died along Rebecca but the last page sure points to something else. Timeline confusion incoming.

Void being Shiki and Rebecca's kid also means he has powers over gravity and time. He has Satan Gravity and Cat Leaper.

Well, that's messed up.

There's been a few chapters and enemies taken down recently. And the newest one gives shiki a choice. save mother and ensure peace for the universe, or let her die but everyone who was dead in other universes but alive now get to keep living. And that should include shiki.

Boy this is a big choice for a family of lawyers, a surfer dude, some teens, a doctor and uh former patient, plus a scientist to make. I mean, I get it, but I feel like changing the Earth's shape could just kill everyone anyway lol. Desperate times I guess.

TBF, the world was literally falling apart around them when they tried it. There was really nothing left to lose by trying.

Chapter is out. Yeah, I think the plot broke itself along the way. Soooooooo Mother is not 20k years old? What's with the random Chronophage? Where did all humans/aliens/robots come from? This all feels really weird. Sure the aliens were all incredibly minor characters so maybe they existed apart from humanity but it sure sounds like she was the foundation for all life in the Cosmos.

she is 20k years old. She was recently eaten by a chronophage that ate that much off her which is how ziggy was able to land on earth and rescue shiki. Mother then immediately reformed because it was what she did 20k years ago, except this time there was a human survivor and a robot she made a deal with. I think the reason the chronophage was added was so ziggy could be there when mother formed again and see the planet and save shiki and not just see mother. Who had been around as a giant woman for 20k years
