No, Young Xehanort mentions him by name in 3D. Luxord's the one whose name is never actually spoken, hence why everyone now's surprised that it's pronounced "Loox".

Demyx is named in IIFM (I think) while Xigbar is named in 3D.

I don't remember from 3D since I have little intention of ever replaying it, but I know Sora says that upon meeting him in Olympus in KH 3.

I remember because it was a painfully dumb line.

Again Zexion seemed to be more important in the Org plot... Xigbar wouldn't be wasting his time telling 'Xemnas' Favorite" all of Xemnas' dirty little secrets then again alluding that Xigbar is #2 for a reason.

Let's not underestimate Xigbar's dedication to the lulz.

It is kinda funny the novels and the games paint Xemnas as wanting to Bond with the Youngest members of the Org 'Zexion and Roxas' more then the others

Zexion and Xigbar's scene seems to be a case of Xigbar is telling Zexion things he already knows which means Xemnas is more open with Zexion then he is with Xigbar.

In a lot of sad ways Xemnas is like Roxas a unique being due to his differences from his somebody 'Even his voice is different!' unlike Roxas the MX in him causes him to plunge head first into the douche side

I feel like the first visit to Olympus Coliseum was a good example of how a Disney World can be done well. It has some problems, sure, but you have:

- Maleficent following up on her old ties with Hades.

- The Organization getting involved in the plot, even though they fail due to the Underworld curse.

- Hades using Sora's Keyblade to get around his world's internal powers.

- Hades winning and setting up future conflict.

- A wholly new area set up in the Underworld, building on the lore of that world and also setting up an excuse for the tournaments to be outside of the Coliseum.

I think the Disney worlds in 3 would've felt a lot less pointless if the "war" between 7 light and 13 darkness was spread out throughout the entire game, and thus they could allow Sora to, you know, fight and defeat the Org. 13 members throughout the worlds instead of it all being condensed into the Keyblade Graveyard.

I know missing members, but they can just enforce the Guardians of Light protecting Elsa Anna & Rapunzel.

With regards to KH 3 being flashier than 1 and 2, I actually think 2 has better spectacle.

3 is certainly noisier, but that actually detracts from the spectacle. I miss Reaction commands; they helped to make each enemy feel distinctive, and each one worked as a show of power from Sora that worked to create that sense of pure awesomeness whenever they came up in combat.

3 has more enemies and more allies onscreen than previous games as well as bigger attacks and the Attractions and shit, but the end result of all of that is that each fight turns into a fireworks display. With only a few exceptions, each battle winds up feeling incredibly samey because all the attacks that everyone's launching are turbo-eruption mass-blasting field-clearing explosions.

It doesn't really matter that 3 has a bunch of different enemy types because the strategy is the same for all of them: mash Attack and Magic until a Grand Magic, Attraction, or Formchange comes up and then go nuts, and by the time the smoke clears everything will be dead five times over. Rinse and repeat.

Like. There's only so many times you can see a giant Carousel clear a battlefield before it stops being interesting. It used to be fun to try and fight around the big Heartless dude who's invulnerable from the front; now his partial invulnerability is quaint, because like 90% of the game's attacks are explosions that will ignore it.

Like. There's that threeway battle with ASOD, Xemnas, and YX. But. Like. I remember when ASOD turned into a kaiju monster and became the battlefield. And when Xemnas was hurling skyscrapers at Sora. As spectacle goes, "Some dudes with boomy attacks" is a step down for both of them.

Yeah, 1 and 2 still forced the final resolution of the plot at the last 2-3 hours, but at least they either had the Disney Legion of Doom or Org 13 to occupy you with. Here the Org and Maleficent kinda tend to avoid fights. Maybe they're Genre Savvy.

Isn't mash magic and attacks till everything's dead the thing for every kh game. In 1 it was limits in 2 it was drives in 3 its for change and attractions

Also the jig boat fights take up too much time its a lot of stalling till I can fight the bad guy again at least with xehanort I keep wailing on him not some rail shooter or having to clear out a room of mooks a few times to rescue party members or kill a turbine

Maleficent avoiding fights is the point. She wants the box. That is her sole objective.

Org. have likewise spread themselves thin. Some looking for spare Lights in the Princesses just like their spare darknesses, some looking into the same box, Xemnas and Ansem SOD making sure Sora stays on the path so they can get a final vessel through him, Vanitas was restoring himself, and the rest were completing the research into Replicas to get a final vessel that way.

Xigbar fucks around because he has no stakes in ny of this save for the Keblade War kickstarting.

Remember the fights with Ansem, Xemnas, and Xehanort in DDD? I liked those fights quite a bit.

I still liked the fight with them in KH 3, but making it a free-for-all robbed each of them of some room to shine, though they did each still have some neat moves.

I felt the Vanitas fight in the land of departure worked better than his fight in the graveyard, if only because I could focus on him, you know?

they could have forced some individual fights with Sora, to forge some of the 13 keys ahead of time. Because that’s how that works now, apparently.

Why would that be? Having the key at the place where Kingdom Hearts is close makes sense, but isn’t the key forging a property of the hearts clashing? Iirc, Vanitas tried to force Ventus to fight him once before they all went to the graveyard in BBS.

Likely because of Xehanorts Keyblade War fetish. Collect shit he won't even use interestingly because its related to the Keyblade War. Like Marly and them.

Old Nort is such a Keyblade War otaku.

That adds some new context to his “behold. These lifeless keys used to be full of power.” speech.

That sounds pretty accurate about the veiny bald head.

Something that Xigbar / Luxu no doubt found either a bit amusing or really insulting, considering he was actually there to observe the first one.

I dont even know where he got the idea the keyblade war was 7 lights v 13 darknesses when it was more 5 furries and a thousands of preteens.

Ansem and Xemnas aren't the main antagonists anymore. They lose their flashy fight privileges.

Probably the Great DARKNESS Brain will end up leading the Dandelions into by trying to defy fate.

Clearly historical records of the Keyblade War were sketchy at best. Or outright fabricated at some point. Possibly by Luxu.
