Will they sneak in Detective Chimp next time?

Wake me up at your own risk.First three episodes of season three are out, and they're good, IMO.
3.1 felt a little rushed, getting the characters set up, but still pretty solid.
3.2 was my favourite of this batch of three. Great villain, awesome dance scene.
3.3 was almost as good as 3.2. The Dead Boy Detectives stole this episode.
This thread was inactive for a while so I didn't mention it but I watched through the first two seasons last year and honestly, this show really is one of the greats. Absolutely fantastic cast of characters that left such a mark on me that most comic book adaptations could only dream of. And watching these three episodes, it felt so good to be back. Highlights included most of the main gang dancing along to "Forever Young" and Jane, Cliff and Vic's talks with their parents in the afterlife. It just hit super hard for personal reasons. It was also cool to see part of the Brotherhood of Evil in live action. Also also cool to see Danny back and getting access to some more mobility, I'm glad it's been uphill for them.

Self-serious autistic metalhead who goes by any pronouns. (avvie template source)...What the fuck. Just. What the fuck was that.
We now have zombie-were-butts. I don't know how to process this.
That was...a lot. Truly a lot. Zombies. The return of the butts. The Bureau of Normalcy director returning to become a were-butt. And then becoming a zombie were-butt. This is also one of the funniest episodes we've gotten, just based on the sheer absurdity of the whole matter. The zombie subtitles helped a lot too.
Self-serious autistic metalhead who goes by any pronouns. (avvie template source)It's just been announced at DC Fandome that Doom Patrol has been renewed for Season 4.
Caught up again. Alright...
- Space larva puked out of Larry. Alright then. At least he left it behind in relative comfort, or he tried to, anyway. Also, that stuff with Paul was heartbreaking. Just terrible that he lost his way and ended up with the Bureau.
- Oh Cliff, you're on a real rocky path. [sad
- Damn, it was pretty clear Kay going out into the real world would go sideways but that whole meltdown and the other personalities not showing sympathy really just bites.
- Once again, this latest episode switches from tragic with Malcolm (and his bird)'s death to absolutely bonkers and freaky with that bird monster thing and everything that it's wrought.

Self-serious autistic metalhead who goes by any pronouns. (avvie template source)And a well-deserved renewal. I'm really liking the Rita focus. I'm wondering if season 4 will focus on Cliff, Larry, or Vic next.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).A brand new teaser trailer has been released from NYCC:
Glad to see this is coming back considering what happened two months ago.
Self-serious autistic metalhead who goes by any pronouns. (avvie template source)Anyone watched the new season so far? I've been really enjoying it, probably more so than season 3, even if I kinda don't care for the Zombie Butt stuff.
I also wouldn't be surprised if this was the final season. Not just because of the current climate with WB, but they sure are paying off plot points from all the way back to season 1.

Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Anyone watch the finale?
The final season certainly showed a lot of COVID and budget limitations, and there's too many important characters that go missing or written off clumsily Where was Dorothy during the finale?. But I still like it a bit more than season 3 and the final stretch of episodes worked well as a send off to the show. I was ready for Rita's death and Larry's transformation, but DAMN, the final scene with Cliff took me by complete surprise.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Aaaaaand that's the last season watched. Kinda rushed in some areas, but still managed to pull of a strong, heartfelt finale. I'm gonna miss this show.

Maybe DC's movies are unpopular because all of the quality is going in Doom Patrol.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!
