So I know Gwen drumming is from the comics but was she a singer too, or was that something added for Marvel Rising?

So far she has only been on Drums.

MJ is the one that singer and lead guitarist.

Also, Glory used a keytar in the comics.

The next special, Operation Shuri, will premiere on October 6 at New York Comic Con

That probably means a You Tube premiere around October 9.

I find it a little amusing that Battle of the Bands/Operation Shuri are written by Mae Catt, while Playing with Fire is written by Danielle Wolff. Not only do they both have animal names, they also have the last letter doubled.

Well, she does have some Les Yay with Doreen Green. It's not too surprising.

Surprising they're allowed to do that with such prevalent Marvel character who's not gay in comics.

It doesn't say it's Kamela, though. It could be someone she knows.

Could be. But considering Kamala has been shown blushing over Captain Marvel, I feel pretty safe in assuming it's her.

I've thought about that as well, yeah. And even though Kamala's parents are Muslim, they're not pretty conservative. So, I'm wondering if it's their take on Nakia or even an OC friend of Kamala. Pretty big move either way.

I see, I'm not familiar with the comics. Are Nakia's parents more conservative?

It's been a while since I've read Wilson's run, but I don't remember seeing them.

Yeah, the way they shrink the credits can really get in the way of trying to read them.

I've been using a proxy to watch the specials as they come out, but it doesn't seem to work on livestreams, so I haven't seen any of the crew live-chats.

I was a little surprised to see Zoe Zimmer. But now I kinda hope we'll get to see some more of Kamala's supporting cast, like Nakia. Also Doreen's supporting cast, I'd love to see Nancy in this show.
