Justice Avengers: A New Beginning Discussion Thread

Wanted: villains to act as the Secret Society's minions. Pretty much any Marvel or DC villain counts, so pick your favorites.

Think "Injustice League + Masters of Evil"

Oooh, I love this game, alright lets see off the top of my head... I would love to see Metallo, Livewire, maybe a couple of Talons borrowed from the court of Owls, Black manta, Vulture(mcu version), clayface, Bane, Deathstroke would be neat, Deadpool too... heck anyone of the Mecs for Money crew from the most recent runs would be cool. Lady Shiva, could be a neat one too.

By the way, sorry for being so damn absent thus far. I think my mistake was picking a character I didn't know much about, and couldn't get properly invested in. I'll be back when I've thought of a better one, and a villain might not be a bad idea...

Its OK, several of us have been busy with finals and such. Even I have been busy working on my next RPG book, plus all the local internet interruptions aren't helping.

For those interested, I've been convinced into relaxing the rules. You can now play as a villain in Justice Avengers. You still cannot get away with killing or other heinous acts thought.

Curses, now I have even MORE options to choose from! . Just teasing, this is a fun addition.

OK I've been asked to relaunch this game, so I will be working on it.

Relaunch almost ready. I just need two things: to determine the villains, and the launching plot.

The main villains will be the Secret Society of Super Villains. This organization was (unknown to most of them) started by Darkseid, as a distraction so Earth's heroes would be too busy to notice as his agents search Earth for the Anti-Life Equation. (which is actually The Unnameable's name; anyone who learns it falls under his control). Loki might know about Darkseid's involvement. The Society itself is led by Lex Luthor, though there is a power struggle with figures like Doctor Doom. Directly or indirectly, the Society manipulates all other villains.

The Brotherhood of Evil/Mutants: these are actually two separate teams, but they keep being mistaken for each other. It began as Magneto's answer to the X-Men, he intended it to be known as The Brotherhood (since he sees all mutants as one family) but they had the bad luck of debuting almost at the same time as General Immortus came out with his Brotherhood of Evil. Further confusing things is that Immortus is a foe of the Doom Patrol, who are the X-Men's allies. So people just assumed they are the same group, much to Magneto's chagrin and ruining the reputation of mutants further.

As for a launching point, I'm thinking of doing a Civil War kind of event (that is, about a Hero Registration law) but doing it right. Opinions?
