That's a good point. But, explain Gohan having his Groove Back.
He just lost it again.
He has a habit of doing that.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Super ran the "Gohan's going to get his groove back!" story like three times before actually committing to it in the Tournament of Power, so it wasn't a stretch after Zamasu to have Gohan just be back in shape offscreen. We had already known he was "training again" for ages by that point.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. And the story mode had several characters poke fun at him getting weaker, even Cell.
Though the Cell one is kinda silly. Gohan should still be Stronger than Cell.
I bet Gohan will suck again the next time he shows up.
Guaranteed.
He isn't even in the movie.
Son Gohan: Getting done dirty since 1995
And by his own creator at that.
And fans that are determined to treat him as a loser.
I swear, why are there so many characters in this series that people want to turn into complete jokes.
It's bad enough they'll be abandoned so casually by their author, but now people are jumping on that and taking joy in shitting on them.
One Strip! One Strip!I hear Baki has a similar issue.
A lot of previously hyped & badass characters have just been getting worfed & worfed in recent events.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."oh wow jiren my favorite
Its time to glare viciously.
No seriously I hope his Mean Face actually is an in-game move.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I mean, it's almost certainly Jiren, but the text is "The Warrior from Universe 11", so it might be Toppo or Dyspo. Reposting my Jiren moveset, to celebrate. Hopefully, I'm mostly right, this is the best moveset for Jiren I can think of:
The eyes glinting into punch barrage? It should be. Next to Power Impact, it's his most notable move.
Jiren's ki charge looks different depending on how many bars of ki he has. From 0-2 bars, Jiren charges ki in a meditating position and there's no aura, just wind whipping around his body. From 2-3 bars, Jiren is still meditating and has an aura. From 3-4 bars, Jiren changes to a standing position and has an aura. From 4-5 bars, Jiren stands and has two layered auras. From 5-6 bars, Jiren stands and has three auras. From 6-7 bars, Jiren stands and has four layered auras around his body.
When Jiren uses Super Dash, his aura looks like the one he has when charging, complete with layers. His Super Dash position is based on how he flies in the manga, which is like Superman with both hands forward in fists.
Jiren can charge his normal punches for a second to make his fist glow and have it shoot off a thin beam. The beam functions like any other beam, it's just small and does the same damage the punch normally would.
Jiren has an automatic free Transformation when he goes below 5,000 HP. He rages (with a short flashback to his childhood in his eyes), breaks his limits, and destroys his shirt. The sky in the background changes to red, and fire burns on the ground around Jiren. Jiren's attacks do 10% more damage while in this form. His facial expression also goes from neutral to angry, he yells a lot more, and his voice lines are more aggressive. The sky changes back to normal and the fires extinguish if Jiren is defeated.
Jiren's normal ki attack is just him shooting rapid-fire ki blasts out of his hand. He can also do this in the air.
Jiren has a special move ki attack, which is him swinging his arm in the air, drawing a line of ki that looks like liquid, and a bunch of tiny ki blasts shoot out of that. The line of ki hangs in the air for a bit, allowing Jiren to move a bit while it's firing.
Jiren has a command grab where he traps the opponent in a fireball that looks like a sun and just roasts them for a while before it explodes and they drop to the ground in place. Jiren has a special move where he creates a barrier that nullifies non-super projectiles and stops all physical attacks, including Super Dash, knocking opponents away and doing a bit of damage. The opponent is also knocked away if they’re just touching the barrier. Jiren can't move while the barrier is up, it’s kind of like 18’s barrier move. The light version activates quickly, but it’s only in front of him. The medium version has a bit more start-up, but it’s a sphere around him. The EX version activates quickly and is a sphere. If the EX Barrier is hit by an attack, Jiren expands the barrier into a full-screen explosion, turning the move into a counter. On contact, it does 300 damage, 330 when raging. The EX counter explosion does 1,100 damage, 1,210 when raging.
Another special move is his eyes glinting. Jiren's eyes flash orange, and the air in front of him starts warping from an invisibly fast barrage of punches. If the opponent is hit by this move, they will be locked in place until it ends, when they will be launched away. You can use this move in the air, and Jiren will aim it straight down. The EX version causes the air distortions to extend beyond Jiren's arm length to full screen. This move has beam properties. This is also his assist. The full combo does 1,200 damage, 1,320 when raging.
Jiren has Power Impact as a Level 2. Jiren charges up and shoots a ki blast forward. The opponent is carried high in the air to the corner of the screen and the blast explodes, covering the whole screen in the light of the explosion. If Power Impact is the finishing blow, there's an extra cinematic of Jiren turning around, crossing his arms, and saying "It's over." before the blast explodes behind him. Does 3,000 damage, 3,300 when raging.
His ultimate move is a Level 4. It's his big final blast in episode 129. Jiren powers up, his aura flaring up to a gigantic inferno. He holds up his hand and creates a gigantic fireball that looks like the sun. Jiren compresses the ball into a tiny ball, clenching it in his fist. Jiren screams “It's over!” and he thrusts his palm down, shooting it. The fireball is tiny, but it drags Jiren's inferno aura behind it, leaving a path of fire and destruction in its wake and it creates a gigantic explosion. Does 5,000 damage, 5,500 when raging.
Dramatic Finish with Jiren beating SSB Goku on the Tournament of Power stage. Goku flies forward in SSB KK but is beaten back and he turns back to base. Goku starts charging the Spirit Bomb and Jiren tells him that he'll wait as long as Goku needs for it to be fully charged. The Spirit Bomb is ready and Goku throws it. Jiren pushes it back easily, and Goku powers up into SSB KKx20 to push back. They push the Spirit Bomb so hard that it collapses into a black hole. Goku is sucked in and the black hole explodes.
Dramatic Finish with Jiren beating 17 on the Tournament of Power stage. Jiren throws a giant ball of fire and 17 tries to block it with a ton of layered barriers to save his team, who are unconscious behind him. The barriers aren't enough, though, so 17 puts layered barriers around his teammates and he's forced to self-destruct to destroy the ball and save them. Jiren laments the loss of life.
Team Dramatic Finish with Base Goku, Freeza, and 17 beating Jiren on the Tournament of Power stage. The whole final scene of the tournament just plays out.

Looks like Bamco EU deleted the tweet. I guess that was supposed to go up next week?
Oops!?
How peculiar...
Let's pray they somehow add a personality to Jiren. Use the manga devs! Use the manga!
Jiren, so powerful he cannot be prevented from leaking.
Uni catWatch him be the best character in the game.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Jiren has literally no moves in the manga. Anime Jiren at least has moves. This is for a fighting game, what's important is how they fight, and manga Jiren has nothing.
I mean Jiren is boring but him being in was inevitable so whatever. At least it's out of the way.
This song needs more love. All I know about manga Jiren came from this tweet
Don't be rude about someone not liking something. That's uncalled for.
(also he's right. Manga Jiren has no moves)

The Super manga sucking harder than the anime is also basic knowledge.
It can't be after the Tournament of Power, Freeza is alive after the Tournament of Power.
While in Fighterz story mode he was brought back with the Namekian Dragon Balls along with the other villains.
Anyway, they said the story mode was after the Zamasu arc.
