Aboard the ISD Sanctimonious

The gentle hum of machinery. The clacking of buttons. The occasional static, beeps, and whistles of droidspeak. The rare voice, reporting for orders or communicating with fellow officers. This was the sound of the cogs of the Imperial machine turning.

Admiral Jarrik Cruciff took a deep breathe, then exhaled slowly, turning back to the viewport of his ship. Outside lay a planet that had become familiar to him. Dagros, land of the rebellious and home of the downtrodden. Hah. He supposed it was a bit more downtrodden than rebellious now. He allowed himself a small smirk. This was his now. His victory, his planet to oversee, at least partially. Pride was only a sin when it was undeserved.

But of course, there was still pockets, cells of rebellion. And this he could not tolerate. He sat in his chair, steepling his grey-gloves fingers. He'd heard of a Rebel down there, a leader of sorts, and a competent one at that. And this, too, he could not tolerate. Luckily, he had many ways to deal with this. For one, he had an asset on the ground.

"Captain Cyander," he said, his staticky voice growling out of the vocoder unit over his mouth. The captain, a man of similar disposition to Cruciff but somewhat more innocent and eager to please, stepped forward. "Yes, Admiral Cruciff?" He inquired. Cruciff ushered him forward, closer.

"Connect me to Watcher Twelve when available. I have something to tell her." Then he waved him off. He still had to contemplate the latest factors in his plan: the mercenary Fardiss. His arrival could mean nothing, but his hurried escape to the surface of the planet - somewhere in Daggiva - seemed to suggest otherwise. And he did have a history of rebel sympathizing. On the other hand, he was only one man, and his arrival could mean nothing. But his capture would still be a bane to the Empire; either way, he would deal with this matter.

"Cyander," he called out again. The man stepped forward. "I wish for a squadron of storm commandos to be sent to Daggiva, for the purposes of catching Fardiss. Pick your most able pilot to transport them."

Cyander nodded. As he walked away, he already knew which pilot he had in mind. He grabbed one of his inferiors and said, "Inform pilot Vala Myn she is to report to my office as soon as is possible."

"Yes, sir."

On Dagros

Meanwhile, in Daggiva, Fardiss was running into the first of his problems.

"I said, show me your identification," the stormtrooper repeated.

"Skva xi? Skoro skoro wa," Fardiss replied. He still had a full set of gear on, including his helmet, so he was desperately hoping to pass as some sort of daft alien.

"Identification, now." The stormtrooper stuck his hand out insistently.

Oh, karabast, he thought inwardly. Then his eyes drifted to the side and noticed a stormtrooper walking up with a hand on his rifle, the other up to the side of helmet as he recieved a communique of some kind. Apparently the Empire had finally put word out on him.

"Looks like the gig's up," he growled, then pulled his blaster and shot the stormtrooper in one quick motion. It was a fluid motion, one borne out of experience and repitition.

"Blast him!" He heard, and with that, he was off, bursting into the crowd and flowing amongst the foot traffic. Another call raised up from behind him. "He's got a bounty on his head! Anyone who catches him will get a prize from the Empire!" Even worse. Now the people would probably give him up to the Empire themselves.

He raised his arm unit up to his mouth, sending out a transmission. He could only hope the rebels hadn't changed their frequencies since he left. "This is Fardiss, rebel informant. If anyone in the area can provide assistance, I would be grateful. I am pursued by stormtroopers and could really use some help. The Empire has a bounty on my head, so I need a safe place to stay."

And with that, he was back to hiding amongst the crowd.

Surface of Dagros

Ohm-Mi Bonga the Cerean felt pangs of fright shoot through his body when he heard a stormtrooper's voice call out for identification. The B-Wing pilot was hunched on an unoccupied stoop, doing his best to stay inconspicuous in the busy streets. It hadn't been very long at all since he had busted out of prison so he didn't exactly have a disguise on or a shelter to lay low in. Compounded with the fact that he didn't have his commlink in order to contact fellow Rebels on the planet meant that he was in a sticky situation. However, it seemed that it was actually somebody else who was in trouble today. At first, Ohm-Mi didn't feel like doing much of anything to stick up for the guy - it seemed like routine harassment by stormtroopers until the street exploded with blaster fire and a very quick human running like he had just been told that winning a one hundred meter dash would earn him an hour with a Zeltron supermodel.

Ohm-Mi decided to step in. He loved a good fight and he figured his best way to get off this planet was to have some help. He stayed on the stoop until Fardiss ran right in front of him and then he sprang into action. The beefy Cerean tackled Fardiss into the alley across from him and hoped the man wouldn't do anything before listening to him.

"If you need a Rebel, I guess I'm your guy. You wanna kill some stormtroopers, champ?" he asked, patting his DL-18 that was holstered on his belt.

TIE-Fighter Launch Bay, The ISD Sanctimonious

Despite the relative peace that had befallen the Dagran Space since the Empire successfully crushed the more overt resistance, the Sanctimonious' Hanger Bay was still in flurry of activity. The Imperial pilots and technicians clambered over the neatly stacked TIE-Fighters, performing various repairs and general maintenance on the starfighters. Perched on top of a cockpit, balancing between the wing and a gash in the hull, Flight Lieutenant Vala Myn was elbow deep in semi-fried electronics.

The upper portion of her flight-suit was roll down and tied around her waist, the underneath tank-top with a few spatterings of grease and the burn scars on her arms clearly visible, "You know, when I look at how thick the hull is like this..." She mused to another pilot standing under the craft, "I wonder if would be more cost effective just to strap rockets to us and shoot us out with some blasters." Vala peered over the side, a characteristic grin beneath vibrant eyes. He stiffled a laugh, "Hey now - don't give them any ideas!" He glanced up, " You got a hydrospanner up there, Val?" Vala dug around in her tool kit, "Come on, can you imagine a better way to see the stars before you die? Right before you die, in fact~" She laughed, tossing the tool down as he barely caught it.

This friendly mirth was cut short, however, as one of the Captain's lackeys marched towards them with the usual stiffness, "Flight Lieutenant Myn - You are to report Captain Cyander's office as soon as possible." The officer ordered as Vala raised an eyebrow, climbing down from the craft, "Yes, sir..." She replied, the officer leaving before she could inquire why her presence was requested, "Since you asked so kindly~" She added, shrugging to the other pilot and making her way towards Cyander's office. It was probably best she didn't question her superiors anyway.

A few minutes later and Vala was outside the office in question, quickly remembering to slip the flight suit on properly before opening the door, "You asked for me, Captain?" She asked, marching herself up to her superiors desk.

Dagros Streets

Sebastian slammed the man against the alley wall. His target's face was twisted in a grimace of pain and terror, his mouth moving, but no sound coming out. His legs kicked, but Sebastian held firm, his armored gauntlets pinning him to the hard surface.

"Somebody wants you dead," he said simply. His voice was distorted by his helmet- all the better to terrify the Imperial with. "They also want the intelligence that I happen to know that you're carrying on you."

The human stammered and stuttered, denying his involvement in anything Empire related, but Sebastian just shook his head slowly. His black and white armor was a horrifying sight in a darkened alley, and the mercenary was relying on playing up that fear.

"I, personally, would prefer to let you go," he offered, and was rewarded with a glimmer of hope in the man's eyes. "In fact, if you just give me the datapad and your passcode, I'll let you walk out of here alive. If not..."

Before his target could react, Sebastian seized him by his throat, lifting him above his head. The man choked and kicked, his fingers scratching at Sebastian's armored arm, but the armored figure didn't relent- instead, he lifted his wrist, which had a strange device attached to it.

"You know what this is?" He asked simply, and the man went deathly still. "This is a Mandalorian Vambrace. Attached to it is a flamethrower. If you don't give me what I came here for, I'll give you a taste of what it feels like to burn to death. The intelligence will be destroyed along with you, but that won't matter- I still get paid." His armored shoulders rose and fell in a shrug, and the man went deathly pale.

Sebastian threw the Imperial on the ground, watching his form sprawl across the dirty alley floor. "Let's give you, say, five seconds to decide. One..."

The man appeared to think for half a second-

"Two..."

He looked for an escape route and found none.

"... three..."

"Alright, alright! I'll give you the intelligence, 'kay? Just let me go!" He cried, foisting a small datapad towards Sebastian, who gave him a look from underneath his helmet. "Here! Here! I promise it's good! The code is 934671!

Sebastian picked it up and looked over it. His armored fingers typed the passcode into the tablet, and underneath his helmet, his lips curled in a smile. "Alright. Get going."

The Imperial didn't need to be told twice. Nearly hurling himself to his feet, he started to run out of the alley, touching the comm device on his ear. "Command, this is Watcher-15, my position has-"

A blaster bolt in his back ended his radio message prematurely with a scream, and the Imperial was sent tumbling, a smoking hole burnt into his torso. To his credit, he didn't give up and die- instead, he started to drag himself towards the light of the street, just about ten feet away...

... and perhaps he would have made it, too, if a heavy armored boot hadn't planted itself square between his shoulders.

Face pressed into the dirt, the Watcher gagged and coughed, blood splattering the floor in front of him. "You... said... you were going... to let me go..."

A flash of blaster fire lit the alleyway, and Sebastian stepped off of the smoking corpse of an Imperial. "I lied, he said, simply. He tucked the datapad into a pocket in his armor- his employer would pay well for the death of a Watcher and his intelligence. All he needed to do now was-

Suddenly, his train of thought was interrupted by a hail of blaster fire. A voice crackled in his ear, coming over the Rebel Frequency- he wasn't a rebel himself, technically, but technicalities had never stopped him before. It was garbled, but he could make out enough to realize that a rebel informant was being pursued, and needed a safehouse. His head snapped up as a form ran past his alley, blaster bolts sailing past- that was no doubt the man himself.

Stepping out of the alley, he watched a strong-looking Cerean tackle the man into another alley, and snorted. He would find out if the informant had been killed later- right now, he had more important things to do. Like killing Stormtroopers.

Holstering his Array gun, the heavily armored warrior drew his Vibro-Maul from his back, and charged, roaring in fury. "For the REBELLION!"

Aboard the ISD Sanctimonious

Captain Cyander's office was just as industrial as the rest of the ISD Sanctimonious, barren from any trophies or achievements, something that indicated something deeper beneath his eager to please surface.

"Indeed, Flight Lieutenant Myn," he began. He steepled his fingers, gazing at her in an almost unsettingly amiable way. "I'll cut straight to it, shall I? You shall be in charge of transporting commandos Lieutenant Gresh and his men to Daggiva. Take the Gozanti-class cruiser in Hangar Twelve. Lieutenant Gresh will be waiting for you."

Cyander stood, eyeing Vala Myn. "This operation is of utmost responsibility. Lieutenant Gresh is an experienced man and may find other uses for you. You shall take orders from him for the duration of this operation. Do I make myself clear?" Without waiting for an answer, he continued, "Good. You are my most experienced pilot here. I chose you, and I trust you to carry out this operation to the best of your ability. " He sat again, giving a small smile. Then he waved a hand towards the door. "Dismissed."

Daggiva Streets

Fardiss felt his brains practically scramble for a second as he went from moving forward to moving sideways, then slamming into an alley wall. "Oh, stars," he mumbled, taking a moment to adjust. He saw the Cerean and instinctively went to pull out his LL-30 pistol until he spoke.

"Well, that came faster than I expected," he said, rubbing his head and pulling out his pistol with his other hand. "I'm all for killing a few. I saw a commander back there, though. And you know what that means."

And indeed, at the end of the street, Commander Drull, in his distinctive blue-marked armor and carrying a blaster cannon, rounded the corner.

He hadn't signed up for this. No, he definitely had not. He had signed up for a peaceful tour holding an also peaceful world. Instead he had ended up here, in Dagros. He'd only been here a few weeks, and here was this mess. Fardiss, the mercenary, in his sector. What were the odds? He sighed inside his helmet. He wished his training had really taken and that he was as indoctrinated as everyone else. But still, the Empire was the Empire. This was his life, his family. No other choice.

Then he heard the cry of "For the REBELLION!" and sighed again. Rebels. Of course. Of course it had to be rebels. He checked the streets for civilians. Mostly clear and clearing out fast. They wanted nothing to do with this, mostly. Just to be safe, he shouted out to his men, "Clear the streets!" Then, flanked by his men, he heated up the blaster cannon and pointed it straight at the charging man. The man's lifespan, from Drull's perspective, looked like it was about to take a drastic turn towards the short end of the scale.

Of course someone had a blaster cannon. They always had a blaster cannon.

Taking advantage of the time needed to heft and charge the rotary cannon, Sebastian dropped and rolled into an alleyway- Dagros had plenty of them. They were useful in this kind of situation, at least.

A hail of blaster fire roared past him, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

Perhaps charging wasn't such a good idea. He wasn't sure why he had yelled what he had- perhaps for the shock value? Maybe so they would assume he was a crazy rebel. No matter- it wouldn't matter soon enough.

You never left any survivors.

Taking advantage of his superior knowledge of the area, Sebastian began to move quickly and quietly, dashing through windows and catapulting himself through small buildings.

If everything went well, he'd flank the Imps in no time.

"It sounds like some dope is going to distract the Imps long enough for us to make our escape!" Ohm-Mi said with a dumb chuckle and a slap on Fardiss' back. While he was grateful for whoever was out there causing even more trouble for the Imperials, Ohm-Mi wasn't the type to not take an advantage when one was presented to him.

All that aside, it did seem odd that three separate enemies of the Empire all happened to be near the same street when trouble struck. The Empire's grasp on Dragros must be weaker than Ohm-Mi thought. Or maybe that Force thing had guided these people together. He didn't know much about it but Ohm-Mi was somewhat of a beliver in the strange concept. Mainly because he was a huge fan of the Cerean Jedi, Ki-Adi Mundi and followed his exploits during the Clone Wars like one follows a travelling sports team. And if believing in the Force got him one step closer to wielding one of those cool looking laser swords, well that was an added bonus.

As he spoke of escape, Ohm-Mi peeked his head out of the alleyway and then back in to try and gauge how many stormtroopers were currently on the street.

Captain Cyander's Office, The ISD Sanctimonious

Vala did her best to ignore the uncomfortable feeling her superior's at least superficially friendly gaze and as it turned out the Captain gave her very little time to react, regardless. The Lieutenant was only able to stand straight, hands behind her back and mouth occasionally opening to question or comment before giving up. She couldn't help but look surprised when she was ordered to transport a squad of the elite Storm Commandos to the planet surface - that being said, it was better news than she had hoped for. By the time he dismissed her all Lt. Myn could do was nod and exit the office, "No pressure then, sir~" She muttered to herself, wondering what this operation was about - presumably it was something to do with the known Rebel presence on the planet.

Hanger 12, The ISD Sanctimonious

The Flight Lieutenant carefully straightened her uniform as she entered the Hanger Bay, having quickly changed into something more suitable for a planetary operation on her way from Cyander's office. Vala couldn't help but feel nervous under the usual bluff constitution of a TIE Fighter pilot, even if this mission probably had a higher survival probability than her usual orders. She spotted the Gozanti-class Cruiser in the distance, walking there with all due haste and keeping an eye out for Lieutenant Gresh or his men.

Kodra had been trying to meditate for a while when the message came.

"This is Fardiss, rebel informant. If anyone in the area can provide assistance, I would be grateful. I am pursued by stormtroopers and could really use some help. The Empire has a bounty on my head, so I need a safe place to stay."

She rushed over to her landspeeder and began sending a transmission as she headed into the city.

"Fardis, this is Kodra Modo. I have a safe place south of Daggiva. Can you head for the slums?"

Hangar 12, the ISD Sanctimonious

Lieutenant Gresh appeared, as if by magic, next to Vala Myn, matching her stride. "Flight Lieutenant Vala Myn, I presume," he said. His voice was somehow foreboding and ominous, even with such a simple statement. He himself was a scarred man, and even with only his face showing, you could tell he had seen his fair share of battles. It made one wonder how  he managed to hold a position that required subtlety.

"These are my men, Fetch, Sin, and Garrote," he said, gesturing to three fully armored men who fell into step behind him. Presumably they would shed them later in favor of something that would blend in more.

He turned to Myn, still walking, with an expression that seemed to demand some sort of response, even if one didn't seem necessary.

Daggiva Streets

Fardiss said to the Cerean, "Hey, a friend's a friend, even if they're dopey. I'm just thankful for the distraction."

Then, when his wrist-com crackled to life and relayed him the message from this Kodra Modo. He sighed in relief, then brought his com up to his mouth. "Indeed I can, Kodro. I'll head over. Keep in touch." He waved to the Cerean. "Looks like we've got some friends out there. We need to get to the slums. Let's get gone while we can. Look, through this window." He broke it with the butt of his LL-30, then crawled through. Luckily the building seemed to be empty. He opened the door on the other side, then went back to the window, offering the Cerean a hand. "C'mon, bud. What's your name, anyhow?"

Meanwhile, Commander Drull was getting ever more and more frustrated.

He had eight men at his disposal, and that was good, but they didn't quite know these streets. These rebels obviously did. He saw Fardiss and a Cerean peek out of an alley a bit off, and that meant more possible rebel aid. The charging man had apparently disappeared for now.

"You two," he gestured to his men, "Check the alley the yelling rebel dove into. You three, get that alley there," gesturing toward Fardiss' alley. "Rest of you, on me. I've got a bad feeling about this," he said, tightening his grip on his blaster cannon. The men responded back with confirmation of their orders, then set off.

Hangar 12, the ISD Sanctimonious

Vala somehow managed to suppress the urge to leap out of her skin when the heavily scarred commando appeared beside her, only just skipping a step as she glanced at the squad. She supposed that was how they survived so many stealth missions and shrugged off her initial surprise, "Well it's a pleasure to meet you boys - I guess I'll be your pilot today..." She smirked, trying to keep some humour despite how unsettling these kinds of troopers tended to be.

"I assume you know what this operation is about, sir. Unless the plan is to shoot us at the planet and hope we hit what we're meant to. Either way, that cruiser is at least easier to keep flying than a TIE-fighter." Val chuckled, wondering exactly what she had been drafted into as they approached the cruiser itself.

Mira Syn's office - Narshon Mining Operations, Dagros branch
A very bored-looking executive sat at her desk, rifling through a dataslate full of statistics on the mining operations here on Dagros. She sighed, setting it down. There wasn't much that she could actually do - she was here to observe, not to actually administrate. She could suggest, but not implement.

The holocom rang, a priority message. It hadn't been filtered through her secretary, which meant it was likely another executive. "Mira Syn, how may I help you?"

She straightened herself as the caller responded. She slipped back into her Imperial accent. She pressed a few buttons, securing the call and noise-dampening the room. "Yes, this is Watcher Twelve."

"Ohm-Mi's the name buddy and it's good to know you. Hang on a minute though." the B-Wing pilot said, not wanting to leave the alley just yet. He waited until he was sure he heard footsteps and stuck his pistol out of the alley and blindly fired six shots, hoping to peg a trooper or two. Then he ducked back in, took Fardiss' offered hand and climbed through the dusty room.

"What's your name, boss? You a Rebel or just some guy who banged the wrong Imperial governor's wife?" Ohm-Mi asked.

Sebastian pulled himself onto the roof of a weapon store, his strength and the grip of his gaunlets making climbing easy.

He watched two of the stormtroopers walk towards the alley he'd dashed into from above, crouching on the roof of a weapon store. He had taken the time to learn the nooks and crannies of Dagros, and it seemed like it was about to pay off.

It paid to never underestimate your opponents, but he wasn't too worried about them- the commander was the more dangerous foe here. Imperial commanders were well-trained and organized- stormtroopers were... less so. Still deadly, but they could be taken down easily once you knew their tricks.

Sheathing his Vibro-Hammer once again, he pulled his Array-Gun into his hands, checking to make sure that the power cell was fully charged. He didn't want any accidents, after all.

The second that the stormtroopers peeked into the mouth of the alley, he leapt, hitting the ground hard in front of them. He raised his Array Gun and fired point blank in one smooth motion, a bloodthirsty grin on his face.

Lieutenant Gresh frowned, not really acknowledging any attempts at humor. The men behind him did likewise, though with their helmets on it was hard to tell the difference anyhow. "Yes, TIE fighters are rather fragile, aren't they?" He mumbled. He then proceeded into the Gozanti and almost immediately began stripping off his armor. Underneath were civilian clothes, similar to those worn by native Coruscanti. Evidently he and his men were going disguised as offworlders. He gave one off-hand glimpse towards Myn. "Well, chop chop. No time to waste."

"Watcher Twelve," Admiral Cruciff growled slowly. In the privacy of his cabin he inspected the available data on the ongoing situation in Daggiva. "The mercenary Fardiss recently made landfall on Dagros, in Daggiva. As I understand it, he seeks refuge with the Rebels. I want him tracked down, caught, and interrogated. I believe he carries data of some import."

"More specifically," he continued, his voice almost bored, "he holds blueprints pertaining to the mining of kyberite on Dagros. These plans, for the sake of the Empire, cannot in amy circumstances get out. I leave this mission to you, Watcher Twelve. I advise you to avoid failure."

Daggiva Streets

"Roger that," Fardiss said into his wrist-com, then turned to the Cerean, Ohm-Mi. He gestured towards the open door, exiting the building. "I'm Fardiss, and I'm not really a rebel, but, honestly, looks like I'm becoming one. How about you, buddy? Oh, by the way, help incoming at the fountain, up ahead," he pointed at a fountain. "Because Rebel help is coming, so you better be either rebel or sympathetic, bud."

"Come in. I said, come in," Drull said frustratedly into his com. Two of his men were failing to call in, the one he had sent into the yelling rebel's alley. Drull knew what that meant; no malfunction, no 'I forgot'; they were dead, almost certainly.

"Men, on me. We're-" and then six shots rang out, sparking against his personal shield. Two shots hit one of his men dead on. Drull cursed loudly. "Come on! You two follow Fardiss, Jakob, on me!" Drull headed purposefully towards the yelling rebel's alley, heating up his cannon.

The blast had hit the first the first stormtrooper in the head square on, and suddenly the man lacked a head.

As his body had hit the ground, his companion was already raising his weapon, but Sebastian took a step forward and slammed his Array Gun into the man's chest; the unfortunate stormtrooper got off a single shot before the mercenary grabbed him by the shoulders and kneed him in the stomach.

As he was gasping for breath underneath his armor, Sebastian had hurled the soldier into the alley wall. The man didn't get up again.

The mercenary examined the fallen- but likely still breathing- man with distaste. He preferred to leave no loose ends unresolved, but the loud cursing from outside the alleyway signaled that he wouldn't have time to finish the trooper off. It looked like the man's armor would serve its purpose.

Just as quickly as before, Sebastian took up the vantage point that had served him him well. The second that he could get a clear shot at Drull and his lackey, he aimed his wrist laser and fired.

However, due to distance between him, the shot went wide and narrowly missed Jakobs. Cursing, he started to fire a hail of blaster bolts at the pair, aiming mainly for Drull. So this is why I prefer close range. Huh.

Aboard the Gozanti Cruiser

The Flight Lieutenant grimaced and quietly sighed to herself as the Storm Commandos remain oblivious to both humour as well as her less than subtle probes into the nature of their mission. Regardless, Vala followed them onto the Gozanti-class cruiser and did her best not to laugh when they immediately began to strip. She wasn't sure if she was disappointed or relieved that they had civilian clothes underneath, "Of course, sir." She replied, striding towards the cockpit confidently and surveying the controls, "Should I get into civilian clothing as well, sir?" She asked over her shoulder, checking the ship systems and bringing the ship to life with a few skilled movements, "Anywhere particular in Daggiva you'd like me to land, sir?" Myn was not enjoying being left in the dark - at least when in a TIE-fighter they give you clear orders. The mysterious Lieutenant Gresh made her intensely uncomfortable, even more so than the most loyal and xenophobic Imperial Officers on the ISD Sanctimonious, "Any specific orders at all, sir?" She tried to keep her tone respectful but her patience was wearing thin.

Approaching Fountain

"Hey I already told you I'm a Rebel, buddy. I'm a pilot. My ship was shot down and I just escaped those dumbass goons in the slammer. Those Imperials can't get enough of me there so they're after me too!" Ohm-Mi recounted through short breaths as he kept up with Fardiss trying to make it to the fountain. Judging from the scream he heard from the alley, at least one of his six shots had pegged a trooper so even if he was shot in the back by a trooper now, he could still be comfortable with the fact that he'd died like a true Cerean. With his shots all being blind fired and the trooper's' armor, Ohm-Mi doubted if he'd actually landed a killing blow but he was content with landing a stormtrooper an annoying trip to the medbay at any rate. Once at the fountain, the Cerean pilot looked for cover if the landspeeder hadn't yet arrived.

Aalya, Daggiva Streets

There was a riot. Of course. She had a bunch of children she had to get home, and there was a riot. With guns. One of the children tugged on her clothes. "What's wrong, sweetie?" The child whispered into her ear, and she nodded. Well, time to use it.

"Follow me, children. Exactly. Hold onto the person in front of you." Aalya closed her eyes and stepped into the streets, taking an odd path, that nevertheless meant that bolts just avoided hitting them, while keeping her eyes closed.

The green and blue landspeeder sped into the area, circled the fountain once, and whistled at Fardiss with a gesture to get in.

Daggiva Streets

Drull cursed again as a bolt narrowly missed Jakob, and then a brand new hail of bolts started. This wasn't what he had wanted in life when he had signed up, not at all. So far, this just seemed like Fardiss wasn't as big a threat compared to this Rebel.

Multiple shots would have hit Drull, too, if it weren't for his personal shield generator. Even then, the shield was wearing thin. One lucky shot took the blaster straight out of Jakob's hands. Jakob cursed loudly, clurching one hand to his chest. It appeared burned. Drull made a note to see to it as soon as possible.

Drull spoke into his com, "Commanders Wann and Delt, we have a situation that requires reinforcements. Sending coordinates now." Two squadrons might be overkill, but in any case they would likely sweep the area after this skirmish, so might as well. In the meantime, Drull waved to Jakob, gesturing towards an alleyway. They needed cover.

Drull, taking cover in the alley, noticed a civilian weaving an odd pattern through the blaster bolts. He yelled out, "Hey! Clear the street or you'll get hurt, miss!"

Fardiss waved his Cerean friend forward. "C'mon! Our ride's here!"

He jumped onto the landspeeder, hooking one leg over. "The Cerean's with me. Hope you got room. Plus, stormtroopers following."

Aboard the ISD Sanctimonious

Lieutenant Gresh sighed raspily. "Civilian clothes for you are in the cockpit. And please, land on the outskirts. Anywhere will do."

"As for orders," he went on, "we are helping capture a mercenary who we believe holds important information regarding the Imperial occupation of and mining activities on Dagros." He straightened up, fully in civilian clothing now, as were his men. "This is of utmost importance to our honorable Admiral," he said, looking Myn dead in the eyes. "We would do our best not to fail." Then he turned away, inspecting his blaster. "We may leave when you are ready."

Aboard the Gozanti Cruiser, Hanger 12

Vala did not particularly appreciate the tone Lieutenant Gresh used as he begrudgingly explained their orders and her specific instructions, if even he was her superior - perhaps even more-so because of it. Regardless, she was relieved to be given some kind of explanation and quickly began to slip on the civilian clothing whilst the commandos were occupied, stashing her Imperial uniform carefully under the cockpit controls. The pilot would have preferred to know who this mercenary was as well as a bit more details but it was better those questions were answered later.

The Corellian was almost dressed in the Coruscanti-styled clothing when Gresh looked her in the eye. She met his gaze levelly and nodded, "I understand, sir - I won't fail you." Val assured him, uncharacteristically serious in this instance. Loyalty and commitment was nothing to joke about in even the lower echelons of Imperial society and, rebellious as her people were known to be, she wouldn't dare show a wavering will. Flight Lieutenant Myn holstered her blaster in the new garments and quickly took the pilot seat, starting the ignition sequence and calling into the terminal with a request to leave. In a few moments her request was granted and the ship hovered above the hanger floor before she took the cruiser out and through the force field with practiced ease, "Alright boys, strap yourselves in. Next stop, The Daggiva Outskirts" Vala grinned to herself as she kicked the engines into full power, steering the transport ship towards the planet.

As this was to be a covert mission, she assumed it would be best to to associate too closely with an Imperial Star Destroyer and so took a somewhat indirect path to the planet - using a few likely black spots for planetary sensors to get some distance from the ship before heading down. Confident, but keeping an eye out for any suspicious or hostile craft, Vala Myn started the descent through the desert world's atmosphere and aimed for a secluded spot in the city outskirts.

Daggiva Streets

Sebastian cursed as he saw the woman in his firing path, ceasing his barrage almost immediately. God damn it- why the hell was she walking around in what amounted to a war zone? With children?

Needless to say, this was not good.

His eyes were drawn to someone piloting a landspeeder, and a figure clambering onto it- one of which he would have bet was the rebel informant.

In the midst of all the chaos, he also caught Drull calling for reinforcements- which meant it was time to go.

Taking a couple controlled shots at the alleyway that the two Imperials had ducked into, he spoke into his comm. "If you three could duck over here and pick me up, I can assist you." Swapping the power cell of his wrist-blaster, he fired another blast- that missed. Great.

"And considering that I've already taken out two imperials already," he continued, "and provided a decent distraction for you, thank you very much- it would be great if you could swerve over here."

His eyes tracked the men he was shooting at under his helmet. "Whether or not you do, be aware that there are reinforcements incoming on our position, and the blue-commander is fox-holed up with a weaponless trooper and a rotary cannon."

"Get ready to jump in, it's gonna be quick and bumpy." Kodra answered, gesturing at the Cerean to get in.
