This isn't how any jutsu of any type has ever worked.

This could be said about several new abilities

Sure, but at least something insane like Omnipotence follows the simultaneously established idea of divine abilities. Ninja Tech similarly has basic principles. Some stuff, like the cyborgs, seems to be intentionally vague.

But we have a general idea of Boruto's ideas and powers, and there's just... zero connection between any of this. unless he became a Perfect sage overnight?

Eh, it's probably Omnipotence too. Which is a bad thing to begin with but whatever.

I mean yea Omnipotence is obviously bullshit but it's also supposed to be the actual power of a god, and explicitly distinct from Ninjutsu or Senjutsu. Which feels like the absolute bare minimum to establish.

This new rasengan is... not even that.

I think it is a Shinjutsu, Boruto is already physically Otsutsuki himself.

Given the toad hiding in Boruto's coat, I'd say it's obvious that he knows senjutsu. They might also have taught him the Flying Raijin, which would explain why he seems to be able to teleport.

I admit I was amused that the no-name Juubi wanted to eat Eida, of all people, and how that disgusted her.

Okay so let me get this straight:

The extant Ten-tail mutants all radiate the chakra signatures of the people they ate, so one of them now radiates Sasuke's chakra. I guess the other one hunting Eida will radiate Moegi's, but as far as I know all the others absorbed weren't named characters.

Also what the who? Himawari radiates Naruto's Nine-tails chakra? How now?

To be honest it’d make sense at the very least if both her and Boruto do, they inherited the fox whiskers after all which means Kurama had some influence on them.
