No it is genuinely really hard if you don't figure out it's possible to cheese it like that.

It's legit hard unless you decide to build yourself to counter it -which is somethign that applies to the whole game, white palace included. except maybe path of pain.

I am never doing Path of Pain, just fuck no. White Palace was hard enough.

I hope that Gods and Glory brings us more sweet tunes. So far, my absolute favorite tune in the game is "Nightmare King," and while the game has a lot of good music, "Nightmare King" stands high above the others for me.

New soundtrack out with all the songs from the updates, including the Gods and Glory stuff.

Apparently the original name had some trademark issues.

So, how is it? I heard it was getting released today. Is that still accurate? Anyone played it yet?

Paintmaster Sheo is pretty hard

So is there any thoughts on the two new endings that the Godmaster dlc gives us. They seem like new true endings and might heavily connect to the Hornet dlc

I am pretty sure the ending is also hinting an Hornet DLC considering whatever that likely is one of the Hollow Knights at the end.

Okay, I've gotta ask. What're your guys' strategies for Gray Prince Zote? Because that jackass has ended every single attempt I've made at the Sage Pantheon and its starting to annoy me.

Well, after doing his dream fight 10 times to get the golden statue, I don't find him so bad. tongue

It mostly involves keeping your distance and not over-committing with your attacks, since he can transition into his flailing attack very quickly. Pogo off his flailing attack, but when it's almost done you'll want to dash to the side or Descending Dark, so you're invulnerable and don't get hit by him when he jumps up. The invulnerability from Descending Dark can also be used if you're in an awkward spot when he does his slam attacks, while also dealing good damage. His minions aren't a major threat, but take care of them quickly so they don't wind up in a place you need to be. If needed, use Shade Soul to detonate the bombs from a distance to give yourself more room. In all, it's a matter of getting used to the pace, rather than the patterns, due to his frustrating lack of tells.

Unfortunately, the boss after him is the one I have problems with.

Okay that new ending is kickass.

But what the fuck this dlc is gonna kick my ass SO HARD. The third pantheon is already really hard, and there's at least another one after that, if not two... Oh boy. Did someone in the dev team said "i bet we can't make nightmare grimm look like a walk in the park compared to that dlc ?" and then someone was like "Hold my beer" ?

Okay, why is it I'm having trouble with Uumuu now, of all bosses? That thing was a complete joke in the original fight. Granted, Hitting the jellyfish into it is a pain compared to just waiting for Quirrel but I still feel like a jackass for losing to the easiest Dreamer boss after beating Grimm and Gray Prince Zote. tongue

regular grimm is a joke. Not because he's easy, because we've faced nightmare grimm before. even as a returning player who hasn't fought him for something like a year, I still has most of the reflexes of the fight and compared to THAT regular grimm is just too slow, too full of openings compared to him.

Adding on to the mention of endings above - the second ending is triggered by giving the Godseeker a delicate flower. It's pretty much the same except for the part where the void explodes out of the Godseeker's body; instead she disappears in a flash of light, leaving the flower on the ground. Scene with Hornet at the end still plays out the same.

After getting stuck on the third pantheon, I decided to brush up on all the attuned bosses in the hall. Only died a few times overall, due to relearning patterns and some sloppy plays.

Then I got back to Nightmare King Grimm. At least it only took a couple dozen tries this time.

How anyone manages to beat NKG as the 40th boss in a row in the final pantheon, with two more new bosses right after is frankly beyond my comprehension.

I think this dlc really suffered from the planned charm upgrade system being cut out. That would have really helped with the difficulty.
