Jack: Oh hi Wrench. Andy and I are planning to go a city called Wild Ridge once the tournament is over. It's apparently a city made for the great outdoors and camping.

Cyk head to the Arena again, waiting for her match..

*meanwhile, back at the arena, Birch announces the next (and final) matchup of singles* And now...it is my great pleasure...to introduce to you...the final matchup of the Hardcheese Amateur Tournament, Singles Division! *pause for applause*

Our first contender is a Sableye from Silversand, give it up for...THE INVINCIBLE IMP!!!

*pause for applause as the Sableye enters, then Elm announces*

Their challenger is a Gardevoir from Orichalcum, she's the waifu with a knifu, give a warm Hoard welcome for...The Psychic Psycho!

Don't normally put this here, but since the duo jumped the gun. :P

This could be quite the quick battle, as both contenders are inherently weak to each other! *Elm points out, while Birch bellows* The stage is clear, the fighters are pumped! Get ready, get set...IT'S TIME FOR A POKÉÉÉÉÉÉ-BAAAAAAATTLEEEEEEEEE!!!

(While waiting for the Wartortle to respond I decide to open a channel between myself and Eliot.)

Jack goes to the concessions and buys a large bucket of popcorn, then goes to the stands and takes a seat

As soon as the match starts, the Sableye rushes with a Sucker Punch. Cyk decides to prepare to counterattack with a Moonblast, sending the Sableye flying. The imp curses, a few of her sharp teeth broken, and then gets back on her feet, with a Shadow Claw right at Cyk. Cyk takes the hit, and starts bleeding.

"I'm not losing, fucker!"

" Watch your language, fairy princess!"

Jack eagerly munches on some popcorn as he watches the fight

Jack: Go Imp!

[I glance at Marlon—] {Alright.} [—then listen as the Wartortle begins to speak:]

"I was going to say, I don't mind customers coming into my shop, but this isn't exactly the place for..." [He's fumbling for the words to discern the impetus behind our little tryst; I stop him before he speaks.] "Right, right, we'll leave." [With a huff, I go to move out of the bookstore.]

{I'm gonna go on ahead to the arena...there's a chance he could still be there, don't you think?}

As Cyk recovers, the Sableye sends a mysterious purple ray at her. It's a confuse ray, and Cyk starts hitting her head against the ground.

"What"-whap-"the"-whap-"is going on".

Cyk then feels a sudden burning sensation. The Sableye is behind her, having used a Will-O-The-Wisp. She feels weaker and burnt.

Good idea. I'll look around out here and see what I could find.

Cyk feels weakened, but she isn't gonna give up. Turning around ,she surprises the imp with a Shadow Ball, and follows up with a Moonblast again. The Sableye is surprisingly resilient. She strikes back with a Sucker Punch, sending green blood everywhere to compliment Sableye's purple.

Jack looks at Cyk in concern, then shrugs it off.

Jack: Eh, I'm sure she'll be fine.

*Birch immediately becomes concerned by the bloody spectacle* Such brutality on display here this late afternoon, and this match is no exception. Elm? *while Elm points out* Indeed, Birch. This already is turning out to be quite the one sided match — the Psychic Psycho hasn't even managed to attempt a counterattack! *she said, before Cyber's third post in a row :P *

*meanwhile, one of the refs shouts out to the Sableye* HEY! Keep those dirty blows in check, or you're out of the match. This is an amateur tournament, not a cage battle!

[I walk on, passing the same shop I was looking into yesterday. I'm not really burdened by the thought of being caught anymore, not that I'm not a Smeargle, but I can't help but gaze somewhat longingly at a red-and-orange patterned...shaw?, poncho?, that's hanging up outside. There's three golden...clamps, I guess, down the side...it's got a very enticing asymmetry to it. I may have to come back to that, if I can scrounge up some money.]

[Heading back to the arena, I try and look for an entrance, one where the fighters would come from. Already, I'm working out the details of a persona to adapt...nothing sultry, wouldn't want to weird him out, maybe a little cocksure...I could pretend to be another fighter.]

{Marlon...you know anything about PJ's fight?}

*Birch, actually happy to see the Sableye get some comeuppance, bellows* AND THE IMP GETS SLAMMED! Such fitting retaliation for that sickening display of excessive force. *while Elm points out* Indeed, Birch. The Psycho's impressive barrage of mixed attacks certainly served to put the Imp off-kilter!

He fought a Dewott as far as I'm aware.

The Sableye is grazed by the attack, but it doesn't seem to stop her. She uses a Double Team, creating four clones. Cyk knows only one is real, but she doesn't know which one. Sending a shadow ball at one, she hears the creature taunting her again''.

" Come on, fairy. I'm right behind you!

Cyk turns around, seeing the Sableye running towards her with a Shadow Ball in her hand. The Sableye throws the ball. Cyk counters with her own Shadow Ball, creating a larger ball. Both the sides start trying to telekinetically push the ball at each other. At this point, they're both so damaged, that whoever gets hit by the ball loses.

{Huh...thanks.} [Aw, fuck...I may have to bullshit a little if I want to talk to him about it. And shoot, I don't even know how this tournament functions.]

{One more question. Any details on the arena itself, the tournament?}

Talk about your snowball effect! *Birch mentions, while Elm retorts* It's not everyday you see a display like this, folks. That Shadow Ball is quite the hot potato, and I wouldn't want to be the one to catch it!

There are waiting areas labeled A all the way up to H. Right now I think the last singles match of today is happening.
