*not missing an opportunity to make a native-esque flub, "Sarah" says to James* "My mp3"? Cool band name... *before getting a bit more serious* That's...like, more wisdom from the new guy. Some folks can get hung up on the tiniest details, y'know? Live for the moment, and save regrets for old age...

*she then turns to Eliot, mentioning* Speaking of regrets, I never really wrote any song...at least, I never got close to like...completing any. You won't find any drafts here... *she pats her duffel pack* ...either. Probably just sitting wherever Crystal City dumps its trash...

*not wanting to keep this too downbeat, especially given it's a (mostly) made up story, she asks Eliot* Hey, like...do you still remember any of the songs you wrote?

Richard and Lucille's

Th-then I better go after them! *Mixy salutes with her stick, then says* Thanks Mr. Finley! *and flies off...*

*...only to fly back in maybe 30 seconds later to ask* Uh, h-how did they leave? By air, sea, lan...no, not land...b-but, with whom?

"Yeah, it's... really nice." Finley tries to relax by the ocean and, after a bit of effort, finally feels herself relaxing.

"It's all in the past, right?"

"No the mp3 isn't a band it's an item human's used to listen to music without having to actually go to a concert. The concert was... No that's not right. It's like if I sang a song, and then I... Well... Augh my non-existant brain..." I give up on explianing and just lay on the deck of the ship staring towards the sky.

"This ocean is rather beautiful...", Noriaki comments, "We've certainly met with it a few times since we've come here. Hello again, ocean."

They're on a boat headed up by the Slaking's brother.

(He tells Mixy.)

(I observe that Marsha is deep in thought.)

Hey, Marly, I was talkin' with Tils earlier and it made me realize somethin'...

And what was that?

Well, ya know...ya fellas are goin' around, tryin' ta figure a way out of dis mess and well...would yas stay here, with me?

(My expression changes into one of deep thought. From the moment I found myself here I never did lean to one side or the other with regards to what I wanted to do if we ever figured a way out. But now...I...still don't really know. But just the fact that me, a once-human guy with a Swampert girlfriend..just a girlfriend....would I really want to give that up? I look to Marsha and give her as honest of an answer as I can:)

I...think I really do now, Marsh, but I still wanna help everyone else get home though. You know what I mean? They're my friends, and I'd be damned if I wasn't there to help see to it that they get home.

(Marsha's expression changes to a beaming smile, and she gives me a kiss.)

(She tightens her grip around my hand again, just a bit tighter this time, as we await takeoff.)

That's right, I was totally on the boat the whole time.
I hear Nori greeting the ocean (for some reason...) and am reminded of a certain song. "You... are the o-cean's gray waves... Destined to seek..." (This is really weird, considering I never even played that game...)

Noriaki turns to Nyquil.

"That's quite a lovely song you are singing there."

(Ohshitpleasedon'tstabme.) "O-oh, uh..." Awkwardness intensifies. "It's just that, uh... I know the song even though, er... I never... played the game that it's from..."

"Ah, I see...", he said, looking thoughtful, "... Have you been holding up well?"

"... Am I ever?" The answer to that is 'no,' by the way.

"Ah... I see."

Awkward silence.

The boat, after slowly drifting out of dock, has officially lifted its anchor, and has started to sail.

Alrighty, let's hope nobody got let behind. This trip's on its way. Feel free to do as you like. If you'd like to talk to me personally about anything, Stephen and I will be in captain's quarters.

With that, Michael and Stephen step down from the wheel, and make way beneath the deck.

I stare at the ocean. I... actually don't want to apologize to Nori. (He didn't have to get himself involved. Yes, I didn't have to attack Finley, but he's the one who meddled.) Even so, I still want to try and patch things up. I just don't know how...

Richard and Lucille's -> Docks

As in, K-king Raleigh Roughskin's brother?! My client's so...important! I'll get this to your wife right away! *with a parting salute, Mixy tells Richard* Thanks again, Mr. Finley!

*she hastily departs, flying toward the docks...though still a ways away. Arriving at the docks, she doesn't notice any ships bearing Slak Rock insignia, and starts to panic* Oh no, I've never missed a delivery... *though she notices some lights from the horizon, definitely unnatural...she decides to follow them...flapping as best she can*

Non-existent...okay, you have to have like something resembling a brain. You're too smart to simply be an automaton... *"Sarah" insists to James*

*then when the ship takes off*

(Thought we'd never leave...) *"Sarah" thinks to herself. She looks around and notices Cart!Tilly, but kind of doesn't feel like saying anything about it...plus she' waiting on Eliot's response*

Noriaki too desires to reconcile with Nyquil, but cannot think of how. He can't just... Forgive the actions he took.

"..." That's odd, why does she hear something like... birds?

"Guys, does anyone hear that?" She asks, turning to the rest of the party.

I walk to the edge of the boat and look down into the waters rushing past us. I grow more and more frustrated without anyway to properly word it. I don't even notice my fires turning on.

Marsha

Yeah, what da heck is dat?

(Marsha also asks, looking around.)

I look to the side of the ship, watching the water as the ship rocks softly "Oh gOD. Guys I... I think... I think I'm gonna be si-sick... *Hiccup* Okay uh, false alarm. Sorry about that."

"...well...I remember...songs I've composed..." [I slouch over onto crossed arms.] "...there's some lyrics I've written that I remember...always wanted t'turn those into songs, but, eheheh..." [I shake my head.] "Guess that's not gonna happen here, save for some...industrial revolution."

"...!"

"Niles", said Noriaki, a bit worried, "Why are your flames activated?"

He also takes not of the sound of birds.

"... Huh?" I turn my head to face him and look up. "Oh, they are. I dunno." I look back off the side of the boat, almost glaring at the water. "Just thinking about how little would change if I took a dive..."

"Thank you Sarah, and it's mostly just a joke. I'm not calling myself dumb or anything." I say as I stand up to look around at the rest of the party getting usedto this ride.
