That shot at the end of a ziggurat covered in Medusas (or is it a pile of Medusas shaped like a ziggurrat?
Would not be surprised if the "Medusa Horde" as I shall call it end sup being a Chekhov's gun that will completely screw over everyone (or at the least Stanley's crew)

Well they reached the place finally.
Only question is what now?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."How is even Taiju going to smash that many of them? Really, I'm disappointed in myself for not seeing this coming.
Welp, time to question the locals. I assume the main cast are fine if they watch their mouths and speakers. Even Xeno ain't gonna be missing with that s***. One hacked cell tower and there goes the neighborhood.
Finally posted DB Scarlet Mirror: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13689952930A49781400&page=97#2423The Medusa pile actually gave me chills.
Yeah. I actually had to read it again to understand that the Pyramid was a pile of Medusa. Like, they were saying that Why-Man would need more than one Medusa to do what he did just before, but I still somehow missed it. If Kohaku's theory that Why-Man was maliciously bent on destroying humanity is on the money, than the amount of Medusa's he created is a terrifying testament to that fact....if he was bent on destroying them that is. The reasons why the Medusas were used is one of the few remaining mysteries in the series.
One Strip! One Strip!Come to think of it I have a better name for that development: The Medusa Cascade
Could be that what ever responsible for the Medusa's creation is still on auto mode, keep making them until it run out of material.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieI also remembered that Stanley and co. are still technically in pursuit. No way to break them all before he arrives, so we'll have another high-stakes game of hot potato in the near future. Plant a speaker on him, Gen!
Also, applause for acknowledging how dangerous the amazon is, even though it was overshadowed. (The culprit must be Jeff Bezos!)
No, for real, I still think the culprit had good intentions, at least at first. There are positive applications to using it Chrome's way with timed revival fluid. Healing injuries and preserving food were the given examples, but if someone wanted to explore deep space... (getting this in before Senku pulls a di*k move in the final chapter.)

Oh right, the fun times crafting science adventure series has a plot.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.@HandsomeRob: Off the top of my head, I believe the Medusa Cascade is a nebula mentioned in Doctor Who. Don't know if it's a real one or not.

Yes! That's where I head it before! Thank you!
One Strip! One Strip!New chapter's out. I hope they name their new vessel the Aegis
Why the Aegis? Also, so they're pretty convinced the person who did this did it deliberately to destroy humanity? Are we still 100% sure of that? Like, I admit the chances of this being an accident is pretty slim at this point, but still.

One Strip! One Strip!"Aegis" is the name of a shield that Athena put Medusa's head on, thus I find it fitting for a vessel coated in the damn things. Plus itd goal of evading radar means it is to defend them from being detected, much like how a shield is supposed to prevent its wielder from being hit
I was assuming that there was some sort of automated Medusa factory that had been pumping them out for thousands of years. The fact that they're all out of power disproves that, but it seems odd that they'd need so many of them, and drop them all in a single spot instead of across the globe.
Aegis is also the name of of an anti-ballistic missile system used by the US Navy, and since we're getting into hi-tech naval warfare...
Haha, I thought they did name their new ship the Aegis. I was wondering if I missed that,
So whats the plan now after discovering the source of the petrification?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I prolly should've clarified my original post, as it did seem that people thought they named the new stealth ship at all (the chapter end with them just finishing building it it was way to early to christen the vessel).
With that said I did forget to mention that the Aegis was specifically given to Perseus on top of the aforementioned reasons why I want them to use "aegis" as the name..

I assume the plan is first to escape Stanley. Then they'll be able to do a lot more in-depth examination of the Medusas to figure out what makes them work. After that, maybe some sort of truce with Xeno's faction? Either way, they still need to get back to establishing cities to harvest resources to make their spaceship to go to the Moon. After that? Maybe build a reverse-Medusa, that can undo the petrification in a wide area so they're not so reliant on revival fluid anymore, then go around the world and revive communities of people and set them to work on rebuilding society. But that seems like endgame story stuff.

New chapter:
They've arrived at the location of Why-Man, but there's still a lot of work to do.
