ouch
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaFlier Nino seems pretty alright on her pegasus, despite the line with her freaking out. Florina's apparently a pretty good teacher (I'm still unreasonably happy she got name dropped there).
FE: New Mystery Fresh Cart Lunatic 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiI didn't mean that Hoshido Pegasi are distinct from the rest of the series, I meant that Ryoma rides a Kinshi in this game
As for Pegasi only letting women ride them... in Elibe, this is very much true. Among the Ilian mercenaries, women ride pegasi and men ride horses, and this occupation drives their economy. I figure, if there was a way to let a man ride a pegasus, they would've found it.
RE: Jonnas N
Eh, I wouldn't say that was impossible. Say 1 in 1000 men or even 1 in 100 men have the capablity to be Pegasus Knights, it isn't going to be widespread common knowledge that men can do it. Particularly as the men with the capability probably aren't going even try to apply as Pegasus Knights.
Fun fact about pegasi, according to Lute their flight is powered not by flapping their wings but by kicking the air. The magic bird-horses are weird enough I have no problem accepting some breeds of them just being sexist.
His hot springs mount's a peg, so he still wins the coveted honor of Butchest Pegasus Rider.
Hoshidan Pegasi are based on a mythical breed of Chinese Pegasi, rather than the normal breed commonly seen.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.RE: Omega Radiance
That comes across as a Voodoo Shark as "Tenma" has been used to refer to Pegasi many times in the past.
Not that they look any different
Get Out of Our Home.Yes but since Hoshido is glorious fantasy Japan with a bunch of other asian stuffed into it it gets the super special real Tenma breed of pegaponys.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.RE: Omega Radiance
That reminds me the Japanese fanbase preferred Nohr over Hoshido.
It's got that cool, European Mordor with vampire aesthetic going on. So it gets more fantastical shit like a fort that is a still kinda alive but dead dragon and cool stuff like that.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Plus Hoshido was so flawless it was pretty boring. Nohr's colorful cast of rogues was way more fun and interesting than a few dozen takes on the dutiful, righteously angry patriot born into a life of privilege.
I wish the Nohr capital got a lot more genuine map battles across it. It's a castle built in the middle of a crater! The city on top is built into the underground which is cool and likely doesn't collapse because magic.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. If they had put their minds to it, Nohr could've been a great deconstruction of the Evil Empire and Hoshido could've been a deconstruction of the perfectly good nations that normally are the protagonists of the series. But nope! Garon's evil, his top henchmen are evil, and all his kids are nearly braindead with how far they bend over backwards to justify him being completely, irredeemably evil.
When their kidnap victim gives zero fucks about her original home and family because her new one is just soooo much better, you know you have a problem with balanced writing.
Leo actually finds loads of loopholes and such to defy his father.
Xander was a lost cause in the original though.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Leo finds loopholes, Elise goes behind her family's back to help the poor, and Camilla's insane. Xander's the only one who stretched credibility to me, and that easily could have been solved if they actually let us get to know the kind original Garon.
RE: Omega Radiance and Inuria Talis
From what I've read and seen, it does seem like Hoshido always being in the right, as well as the infamous moment where Kamui(Japanese Corrin) regrets regrets choosing Nohr were reasons the Japanese preferred Nohr over Hoshido. The Japanese fanbase also didn't like that the writers didn't commit to having the conflict between the two kingdoms be nuanced.
Though from my recollection , the Japanese fanbase doesn't view Hoshido as supposed to be the representation of Japan.
There aren't even any Hoshidan villains in the story. The closest is Kotaro, but he's from Mokushu so he's actually a filthy gaijin anyway.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Hah, the latest Grandmaster drill has a Lance Fighter with 99 HP, Atk and Spd; 50 Def and Res; plus Death Blow 3, because she really needed to have 105 Atk.
FE: New Mystery Fresh Cart Lunatic 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiSo while pulling for Idunn I got my second Dream Corrin (F). So I might as well look into what she's good to be built like aaaand it's another Distant Counter build. Whatever.
I've got a +spd/-atk one and a -spd/+res one, which should I merge into the other?

Probably speed. that's usually the safe bet for most units, unless they are so slow/ or so fast it dosent matter. And you could all ways give Corren Lightning Breath+ if you really wanted to.
Spd is a super boon, getting her up to 41 (42 after merge), whereas 27 Res is in that middling area where bumping it up to 30 likely isn't going to change how many hits it takes her to die. Her stat line doesn't look to be particularly good for dedicated baiting, though, so she's going to need some serious support to get to a point of reliably taking more than one round of combat (against Arena and other tougher enemies, anyway).
