I've been saving since the 1st of this year (used some of the end-of-December orbs and January 1 orbs to try for Azura one more time, ended up getting Veronica, decided to save for real, and I've got over 80 orbs right now, probably gonna be close to 100 when the banner drops) and while I wouldn't complain if he wasn't (we have Tibarn, and the promise of future beasts, so I'm happy), I really hope Ranulf is here too.
And thinking about this makes me want to go play Path of Radiance, since I actually have that and need to finish it some day.
Although, is anyone else looking forward to the refines we're gonna get for Julia/Deirdre/Tailtiu/Seliph more than the new banner? Because the new units'll probably be great, but the shiny new weapons are what I'm really looking forward to right now, if only to find out whether I should 5-Star one of my Tailtius or not (come on, Wrath tome) and whether or not Julia & Deirdre will get some or all of Mystic Boost on their weapons.

Datamining suggests that Julia and Deirdre are getting anti-adaptive-damage so they don't get destroyed by dragons on the counter. Julia may be getting built-in CC in addition to that.

I'm betting that unless they snuck a Po R character onto the banner, that Reyson will be the demotee, first one of the year to boot (and the first one since SILAS).
Nailah looks like she'll be busted once we get more Beast units to exploit her prf effect and transformation.

There's no reason why Reyson would stay 5* locked. Remember, Silvia wasn't kept at 5* either just because she was a dancer. And Reyson's basically the same, only he can get 1 more mov.

He'd be the first 4* flying dancer though. That's pretty big in itself. We still don't have 4* flying mage iirc (other than Aversa I guess, but she's not a gacha unit).
For what it's worth, since the weapon descriptions are rather long and confusing, I'll point out that all the bird laguz get extra movement while transformed, while Nailah gets +10 crit damage. It seems that might be how they're distinguishing between birds and other beasts. Although they can also just make every single beast weapon completely idiosyncratic if they want to.
All of them get Atk+2 though.

Nailah getting the +10 damage and owl effect may end up being just a wolf thing, we'd need the feline laguz types to know for sure.

Well, the herons and hawks are sharing a skill, and ultimately there are extremely few examples of any of these anyway.
Also thinking about it a little more the owl effect is just an ability on her weapon and unrelated to her transformation.

Wouldn't an anti-cavalry effect make more sense?
Interesting to note that along with YT!Olivia and L/NY!Azura, Leanne and Reyson would have the colors on lock for flying refreshers.

I have been saving my orbs for months on end just for the slightest chance that Ranulf is going to be in this banner. I've got 435 and growing right now.
