Fire Emblem Heroes

Yeah, the names are a little too similar. Naga is still good for scoring, but a significantly less useful fighter than Nagi.

Incoming refines for Hawkeye, Fred, Virion and Lute. I'm thinking something similar to Florina's Lance (armour effectiveness, +4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res if melee initiate) for Fred. Hawkeye is probably going to have at least one "specific unit type nearby does/gains something" effect, like with Oscar or Ogma. Not really sure what they could do with Virion. I guess it could have a Lull built in, but those might be a bit too new to end up in a Gen 1 prf. Since Ploys are pretty outdated on the units who were supposed to utilize them at base, the logical upgrade for Lute's is probably multiple Feints or a Ruse. Either way, whatever happens to her is going to have implications for Arvis and Saias.

I still wish they made Alt Emblems more diverse. If Veronica really does become playable in the near future then this is her 3rd green tome. Although, I do find it amusing that people Thrasir a Veronica alt. Makes me wonder what kind of mindset Fate Grand Order player has in comparison.

Surtr's death is pretty anti-climatic, so it's hard to categorize as a painful death.

We got Gunnthra long before she died, or even made an appearance in the story.

Might give Thrasir's banner a couple of rolls. Nothing really excites me tho.

Silly me, not paying attention to Thrasir being Anima. Guess I'd better collect those other free orbs I've been lazy about. Since Duma has been a huge jerk who's been hiding away from me, I guess I'm going hard on green (and possibly red, since Hrid gives DC and one Leliwood is handy for portable Bonus Doubler) here to see if I can get two Thrasirs.

Those fights weren't epic at all. Most of the time we had to run away because he was being billed as the Ultimate Big Bad.

I suppose someone could make the argument that his death was to show that he was ultimately never as dangerous as the rest of the Fire Emblem's Gods & Dragons & Surtr was just gimmicky in the end.

I need two of any combination of Duma and Thrasir. If I get two copies of Thrasir, then I probably won't need Duma. A mix of both has some synergy, but I haven't really felt like putting the kind of investment required into a serious defense. Until I feel I want to put several hundred thousand feathers in, having just two of each anything from each season of defense Mythic can just let me coast on -40s.

Duma & Tharsir can counter L!Eliwood?

Managed to pull a +HP -Spd Nagi. Her defenses are dumb and she seems like a good candidate for the QR seal if given Aether.

I mean like, Surtr had this menace to him at least, he was burning Askr as his introduction, actually felt threatening compared to Veronica or Bruno, and gameplay wise as a boss he was pretty tough. There is also the fact he brought a new sense of dread to heroes that it lacked, sure Surtr is pretty flat, but he does the menacing villain part quite well. The game really made you want to kick his ass.

I actually kinda forgot about that. I can't help but think if there were some effort put into the background the story would stick out more. Half of the time it feels like they just wanna get the obligated chapter over with.

Well either way, what you said makes sense to me, but I didn't want to beat Surtr ASAP because how evil he was. I already kinda made it clear on how I feel about guy so I don't really see the point on repeating myself.

I'm sort of new to this part of the forums, but i understand. Plus, Hel is an interesting antagonist.

Oh, well basically he's pretty much everything wrong with Modern/3DS Emblem's Big Bads IMO.

I see, i agree to some extent, but i felt that his presence and menace actually worked, he might be a generic bad guy, but he's a frighteningly effective generic bad guy, he might have less backstory than Garon, but it's clear who the better villain is.

Also during the story i like to headcanon my own moments, so i made like a mini arc of male Grima getting his ass kicked by Surtr so utterly that it broke his confidence, and book 2 was him regaining his confidence through the journey by developing a sense of camaraderie with the other villains, like Gharnef, Arvis, and Ishtar.

What? I mean, Thrasir technically can because Panicking something negates Bonus Doubler, but that's not the primary reason I want her. I want her for the reduction of score lost whens he's on my Aether Raids defense team during Anima season. It's just bonus that she'll cause Bonus Doublers and other blue-buff-reliant strats some issues. Duma has no particular combat advantages there aside from just being a big, bulky obstacle that can hit hard. I'd still want him for the score savings, though.

I do want L!Eliwood in my barracks if he happens to show up, though. Bonus Doubler is a very rare inherit and just having it be semi-versatile during Wind season (the Atk dependency means I won't be able to put it on just anyone, but close enough for someone who isn't super whaling).

I really never took much issue with Surtr up until he pulled the "Hey guess what I'm still alive!" bullshit after his invincibility got stripped away. I admit, when I got up to that point, I was pretty damn hyped to finally confront him for real and it felt really cathartic to me to see his damaged artwork and then beat him.

... And then the writers promptly killed my hype and dragged on Book II for several more chapters where I just felt "Can this be over already". Somehow, the actual final confrontation with him didn't rile me up nearly as much for some reason. Maybe it's because of everything I mentioned above.

150k on Claude is a pretty rough fight. My F!Robin +10 could have basically fought on forever, but she wasn't enough damage to make it within the time limit. Which is fine, I guess, since I was looking for an excuse to build Panne, anyway. They still weren't quite enough (even with Reyson singing for Robin), so I ended up sticking Valentine's Ike in there (since he deals pretty good damage, has Special Fighter to shut down the Rokkr special, while being completely self-sustaining).

Apparently the Brave Bow Brave Lyn strat still works pretty well, though requires using Noontime to not get wrecked by the counterattack damage.

Got the reward on Claude with B!Lyn, B!Roy (Eliwood should work fine as well), and two dancers. Use Roy and the dancers to pin Claude against a forest, make sure Lyn is adjacent to the two dancers, give Roy Renewal for sustain, and wail on him.

I managed to get a neutral Mareeta and a +Spd -Atk Elincia off the Revival banner with barely any investment (like 13 Orbs). So that's neat.

Got Dancing Rein (+Def -Res) in a Yolo pull and a free neutral Innes in the Revival banner. I also noticed I hadn't used one of my summon tickets for the Chosen Ones banner. I now have a +Def -Atk Nagi.

Got Fallen Corn and Eir. Thrasir would've been nice, but I'm not that desperate. Merges for those two are appreciated.

Got a Legendary Eliwood but he's -Spd. Of course. I'd like some Sad Corns to merge, but I only had enough orbs for two circles.

Does the update have any data on the new refines?

Spent 500 orbs chasing a +atk or +spd Elincia, got 3 of her. All +def.

Pulled with 63 orbs before bed because I didn't want to be up longer than that (but boy did the game want me to be). That's the full first circle, then just sniping red and green from there on out. Free pull was a Yune, then Spring Veronica showed up (I don't even know what I'm going to do with her) and then a -Atk Eliwood (whatever, he's gonna be a buff bot, anyway). Once again, raw 5-star count is crazy, but the game is hiding the Thrasirs from me. Oh, well, with Eliwood in my pocket, I guess that means I can just snipe green now.

Oh, and I did get another M!Morgan copy, so I can finally +10 him. It's a shame the game didn't want to give me any more Ares, but I guess green hiding the Thrasirs will at least give me more chances for Libra pulls.
