Umm... (Monokumas are there to censor the spoilers.)

Yes, that was a certainly terrible localization choice.
I will say:
The scene of Kaede with a weird helmet on her head with swirling pink light around her in both the trailer on the PS 4 store and the end of the demo is outrageously telling.
I do like the concept of "lie bullets" though I admit that it's there for thematic resonance.
Though, how would one use that in the previous games?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Spike Chunsoft's Midnight Launch party is on their twitch tonight at 11:00 Pacific. All West Coast DR fans let us know what Kodaka says.
Y'know I just wanna say I'm super happy for the style change in this game. The trials are way more cinematic now, and since the transitions actually, y'know, transition, there's no chance of me being jump-scared by a dim zombie Ibuki popping up out of nowhere.
Man they are dropping a lot of hints at the beginning here.
I don't know what the hints mean but they're definitely there.
Suddenly, Ouma in the Chapter 4 trial reminds me a bit too much of Fuyuhkio.
Edit: Ah, they have the same VA.
Also, running theory, he's actually possessed by Yuuki Terumi from Blazblue.

There's only one ending.
Actually 2 if you count the "beating the Death Road of Despair" ending, but that's so difficult you're better off ignoring it.
O.K, going to be honest, the concept behind the fifth trial of V3 is pretty interesting.
Don't want to spoil it but allow me to say that someone gives you some unexpected help.
Hey, I never said who. For all they know, Rantaro came back from the dead! Oh, what!? Everybody fucking knows already!

Oh yeah, Chapter 5.
I've JUST passed the point of it going buckwild, so I'm adequately fucked.
Damn your all that far in?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."When the Japanese version was released, some of my friends managed to beat it in 3~4 days iirc. Meanwhile for me, it took 40. I only reached the part we are discussing about halfway through February.

I might've made some irresponsible choices in order to play it nearly the entire time it's been out, but that's beside the point.
Chapter 5 is definitely a thing that's happened. Not a bad thing, just a thing I'm still trying to process. I'm a bit disappointed that there's only been 1 scrum debate per trial so far though.
I might've spoiled myself on the identity of the mastermind earlier today, but at this point it's pretty dang easy to figure out given process of elimination.

Crap what did I do wrong then?
It took me over a week to complete both games.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Nothing, I was just slow because I have a full-time job, college and was spotting to post my translations every good scene or Free Time Event. I think a week is about long enough for some playing with the average amount of time on their hands.
Nyeeeheh. Sure that says oodles about me!
Y'know, mulling it over, it makes sense that Tsumugi is the mastermind. I dunno what the policies on spoilers are here, but I'm gonna keep it like that for now.
Like, every other character has a character. Tsumugi just reacts instead of acts, and is much harder to pin down because she has many different character "bits" instead of a couple of defined ones that make up her personality. Like, who is Tsumugi? She makes references to pop culture, usually. She...says the word "plain" a lot, sometimes. She has cospox.....

Shirogane feels more like a real person than an anime character and I'm quite that's the point. I want to comment more on that, she's a topic I like discussing a lot, as the icon gives it away, but I'm not sure if you're done with the game already.
Wow. Yeah. I can definitely see how that ending could be so divisive.
I'm not...sure how I feel about it.
It's such a departure from the franchise, and so outrageous. I can understand it well enough, but it almost feels like they're attacking their audience. Like, "no more Danganronpa you selfish monsters!" I doubt that's what they meant by it, but, what other reason could there be for the ending to be like that?
Kodaka is clearly attacking several ideas, but he is not attacking any person. The whole point of the ending is expressing an idea he is very passionate about: how the fictional media you consume can shape who you are as a person and can eventually start affecting the reality around you. Of course, he decide to add to that a criticism to the stagnation of Franchise Zombies and to Misaimed Fandom by making the player question themselves what makes Dangan Ronpa good and why do they like. This reflection naturally would cause some to stop liking the franchise, of course. I can only hope it doesn't happen much.

That's a fair way to put it. I was just coming off of the ending at 4 in the morning so I didn't have time to think about it too much.
I read news way back when that the academy was called the Gifted Inmate Academy, or something to that effect. Was that a mistranslation or was it direct misinformation from Kodaka?
Saishuu doesn't have a proper translation, but it's written by combining the kanjis for "talent" and "capture". A fan translator associated the "capture" one with "prisoner" and came up with this name.
I know this possibly won't happen for a while but it be cool if another Western popularity poll was noted here.
I read that old one on Reddit a while back & the results were entertaining so I'm interested in what another poll would look like now that people have actually played the game.
