The Chaos Dwarves look so weird. I like the weathering on the scale mail and the brass-looking metallics.
Thanks. The Scale was very easy, just a Leadbelcher base with a couple of layers of Nuln Oil. The brass meanwhile was Warplock Bronze with blotches of Brass Scorpion.
Originally the Chaos Dwarves were meant to be Persian Magic Dwarves, the more modern Forge World models add a more bestial/daemonic taint to them as well. I have always quite liked their look and their play style was always quite close to my own preference (heavy infantry backed up by artillery, magic and cannon fodder) so I have always felt it was a shame they were never too popular.
Continuing my project to paint various official Marine Chapters here is a Tactical Marine from the Rampagers, a White Scars successor. A simple scheme but one that I thinks looks quite good.
Very Blood Angel-y. The chapter symbol looks good.
I'm about 75% done with Eisenhorn...very challenging, and it's made me realize how bad my up-close vision is getting. Hopefully I'll have him done by the end of the weekend.
They do look a little like the Blood Angels. The Chapter symbol is a little wobbly but did turn out better than I expected it to. I look forward to seeing your Eisenhorn.
Eisenhorn is done. I'm gonna knock out the third Gathering Storm box set next...got Voldus and Cypher primed and basecoated and Guilliman in sub-assemblies as I need to pick up Macragge Blue Air before I start painting him.

He looks awesome, great work
I have seen Guilliman done nicely in all gold armour in the style of his father and the Custodes if you want something different. I have also seen him in the half white/half blue of the Sons of Guilliman look cool.
Thanks Gonna stick with the basic scheme...can’t decide if I’m gonna build him helmeted or bare-headed, though.
Cypher’s about 90% done...need to finish the base, glue him to it, and varnish.
Cool.
When I get around to painting him I am going with the helmet. Lenses are much easier to paint than eyes
Cypher's done. I think that I'm either gonna go ahead and do Guilliman, or knock out the heavy flamer and multi-melta Legion of the Damned models that I've had for forever but have never done more than prime and basecoat.
He looks great. I especially like how rugged you got his face looking. I also like the mud staining on the bottom of the robe. There were some tips on how to do similar in this months White Dwarf and I have been wanting to try something similar.
I used the Warhammer TV tutorial where Duncan stippled on Agrax Earthshade with a drybrush, only I overdid it a bit and stippled over that with Screaming Skull to tone it down a bit. Did White Dwarf recommend something different?
It wasn't an article in itself (the 'Eavy Metal Masterclass is about battle damage), just a couple of mentions in a few different articles, mostly the Parade Ground article where the Studio Army Painters were mentioning how they painted and converted some Stormcast for the new Stormhost traits, namely:

Those are good tips, I'll need to keep them in mind for later use.
Recently I gave some of my Grey Knights a bit of a refresh, redoing the blades of their Nemesis force weapons and changing their bases to look like they are fighting on a planet becoming a Daemon World.
The updates look good. Nemesis weapons scare me a bit...I'd need to seriously practice my blending before trying them.

Thanks. I did the Nemesis weapons simply by painting them with the Soulstone Blue Technical Paint over silver, no blending at all.
Finished the heavy weapons Legion of the Damned guys yesterday. If the weather's good tomorrow, I'll probably try to reshoot this one, as sunlight in the dining room helps with the LED light's harshness.
Looks good, I love how you have done the flames. I really need to get my Legion of the Damned painted but I am not sure which Imperial force to ally them with (I am building 4 or 5 mixed Imperial Armies, each with a different theme and different basing scheme).
I finally finished my first Dark Imperium Intercessor Combat Squad recently. I have refined my Scythes of the Emperor scheme a little since the test model I did almost a year ago and I like how I got them looking.
Those look good. I like that color scheme, very bee-like.
I'm about halfway done with Grand Master Voldus...still have some detail work to do on him, paint the hammer, finish the base, and varnish. He's been surprisingly easy to paint, although I did a crappy job with the mould lines.
Thanks. I have always liked the Scythe's colour scheme since I saw it back in 2nd Edition.
Mold lines can be an arse, I often miss them until after I undercoat the model, which is a pain.
Grand Master Voldus is done. I missed out on a daemonhost model on eBay this morning, and Guilliman is going to take quite a while to do properly, so I think I'm going to tackle Dante next as I only have about a week and change before I have to leave for a work trip.
Great I like the simple base, the darker look to the metal armour and the red cloak lining.
Look forward to seeing you do Dante.
I finished my Blood Bowl Chaos Dwarf Head Coach recently. Now I just need to convert a Chaos Sorcerer (and possibly get the old Minotaur Star Player Grashnak Blackhoof if I can find him cheap on eBay) to finish the team.
