I do agree with Rebel, if these characters were written to historically accurate, it would be way harder to like them.

The whitewashing is kind of a necessary evil to actually sell the game.

They are, at least, upfront about it, what with the Materials having different sections for both the historical figure and their portrayal in the game.

Not that I think anyone with a half-working brain would take their portrayal here at face value.

If nothing else, I doubt the argument that the game distorts the historical truth holds much water here compared with something like, say, Darkest Hour.

I mean you say that but then we have Gilgamesh who is presented as the worst person he could possibly be and the fanbase as a whole love that fucker.

Gilgamesh revels in it without indulging in stuff like slavery in the modern era.

He did come originate from a guy who was supposed to be a Shonen Rival powerwise and a Shoujo love rival storywise.

Thats just standard Evil is cool mentality thats in a lot of fandom. I think it was mentioned the female staff in Zero likes Ryuusuke.

300k+ of all three resources.l, and I barely dented my apple supply. I feel like I'm doing good.

I would recommend you never use your apples unless it's a raffle event or one like the Apo event where you can easily require a huge amount of resources from a single fight. Only exception is if you're literally not going to have time to get something important like lore or grail otherwise.

...Also Nerofest. I would use a chunk of them during Nerofest until you get bored, recover until Christmas, use as many as you can stand then, wait for another Apo/Nerofest/Christmas style rewarding event.

Wow, I hate being forced to use Ortenaus Mashu so, so much. Like being forced to use Orion against Caenis? Fine, he punched good because he's a broken unit, but this Mashu is utterly worthless.

How is anyone expected to finish the ladders without using apples?

The point ladder is going to be easier to finish in the second half, when the raids are released. The raids will give the most of them, so as long as you have the CE's, you should be fine for the ladder.

Not that you should refrain from using apples if you want to. If you have the time an inclination to play, it'll let you get through the event faster and farm other things at your leisure.

Personally I completed the storyline today, and am in the process of gathering 400K points on everything. After that, I'll focus more on currency until the raids are out.

I'm going really slow due to laziness, I'm at over 400k right now.

Fortunately, I already know I can clear this fast, so I'm not busting my ass.

I got over 200 apples, so I don't mind burning them.

I will admit that actually having the patience to use all those apples at the best time is something most players just don't have. At some point you will get sick of it. ...Though hopefully I can macro it this year.

Wow all those 5 AP battles are really annoying. No wonder Atlantis is like 23 chapters long.

Wow, this isn't another solo quest? ...It looks like one, NP 5 support Achilles could absolutely solo a mere six Lamia. Huh, Skadi/Bride/Achilles actually works as well as double Skadi. Maybe better. That's good to know, thanks game.

And no, that's not as much of a problem as you might think since he's a whale and has over 2000 SQ.

from what i read it's literally impossible to finish the ladders off of natural AP regen alone

it was the same way with gudaguda 3 where it was impossible to complete all 100 missions without using apples

in any case i have a few hundred gold apples, i'm fine burning them willy-nilly

Absolutely disgusting

If you have a high paying job, you can theoretically never run out of SQ.

I know one whale on BL is something like a banker who just sinks all his money into games like this.

I've used up all my apples before on raffle events when I had hundreds going in, but that was when I could automate the whole thing and just come back every fifteen minutes to make sure nothing had screwed up while I was gone.

If you use an actual bot, probably? But I didn't, I just used macros. Click here, then click here five seconds later, then here another five seconds later, click here, click three times, wait twenty seconds, do XYC spaced ABC seconds apart etc.
