after watching the PV of the latest Babylonia episode, I am reminded of a story decision that actually baffled me. Like, it's easy to complain about the games gender handling and the oodles of wasted potential and plot holes in early singularities (and later ones like Agartha), but I've never quite been able to reconcile with the fact that Quetzalcoatl was revived last second after her big sacrifice just to have her supplex Merlin and tell us bye. Like, when Ana cheated death she bought us time, when Gil and Merlin cheated death they bought us victory against Tiamat. Quetzalcoatl last second survival served no purpose but to cheapen her sacrifice for a quick hug.

In general I honestly think Babylonia had the worst "characters send us off" scene but especially because of that, I hope the anime cuts it but I also doubt they will

I'd much rather have that than a Senseless Sacrifice, which is what it would boil down to if Quetz actually bit the bullet for real.

But in the end it was still senseless and pointless because she doesn't contribute in anyway. Just shows up to say "You guys, Tiamat's dead but I'm not!" then we leave next scene and that's it. Quetzalcoatl honestly deserved better, especially when she's the only character whose defiance of her implied fate doesn't matter.

If they don't cut it, at least bring her up earlier and have her contribute.

Alright, I've now done every single quest except for those two that are locked behind a timegate. Not bad if I do say so myself.

Servants that don't have at least two Art cards in their deck sure are hard to use.

It depends on the Servant really. some triple buster deck Servants have amazing NP gain on their one card for example.

Gramps does have good NP gain despite being a triple Buster. The same goes for Orion to the point CE that deal with Art cards and NP gain are preferable.

IIRC Biker Kintoki has crummy NP gain on his Arts card, but if you use his Quick cards with an Arts starting card you get fantastic gain.

Especially when critting.

Dedicated Quick Servants generally have decent-to-great NP gain on their Quick cards, so even if they only have one Arts card they can still loop pretty efficiently. Jack, Okita, and Ridertoki are the three that come to mind the fastest, since they’re three of my most-used Quick Servants. Ushi has okay NP gain, but she’s pretty slow without her NP boost.

Yeah, those 3 can go from 0 to 100 in a blink.

A Servant with poor np gain can be painful, especially if they don't have an ability to help charge their NP.

Which is a case with a lot of Sabers, really; if you're unlucky enough to keep failing to get Arts Chains you're gonna have a difficult time charging that NP bar if your name isn't Okita or Lancelot. It's why supports like Nero Bride are so valuable for Saber squads.

Yeah, Mordred's NP gain is alright but not great, hence why her Pedigree skill also gives her NP gauge a slight boost.

And Artoria's NP gain is mediocre at best. Thankfully she's going to eventually get a buff to her third skill that will increase her NP gauge.

First roll: Assassin (Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde), Rider (Ushiwakamaru), Saber (Chevalier D'Eon) and a ton of essences.

(I still can't believe I'm actually, finally, playing this.)

Death also shines

Ushi is a decent 3* Rider. Strong NP burst and good party-support skills. Chevalier is tanky with his taunt and defensive skills and NP that lower enemies' attack.

Jekyll and Hyde, however, I never tried. He seems very gimmicky.

He is, unfortunately. His NP grants access to more buffs alongside a class change to Berserker. The class change is permanent and the NP is useless afterwards.

Been at it for 4 hours now...

Considering that I´m doing this run in "Poor Man Parade"-style, I've only rolled the friend-gacha twice in order to get some more servant diversity in the arsenal.

Results from that: Lancer (Benkei), Berserker(Spartacus), Berserker(Asterios), Caster(Mozart)

And since then, been at the game ever since in the first singularity.

I have gotten really fond of d'Eon and Ushiwakamaru...

(And it still feels so good to finally be able to play this game...)

there's a certain level of attachment you'll always have to your first servants. I don't think I'd care about D'Eon even half as much as I did if she wasn't my tutorial servant. Also both Ushi and D'Eon's voices are wonderful, made me do a complete 180• on Ushi.

Oh yeah and do note that you don't gain levels in this game by fighting, you get embers through battles and the Chaldea gate farming spot to level up. Just a heads up, I was mid Orleans before I realized that.

also you get a free 10 roll everyday in the friend point gacha so that's convenient.

Edit: speaking of Jekyll, it's kind of pitiful that he feels like a background character even when he's a main ally. He gets taken out super early in prototype fragments and he's in the background for a lot of London (I actually remember being shocked at how little he did by the end). Then the rest of his appearances are as an actual background character. It's pretty pitiful in a way. But then so is the way his kit works

Also don’t use your Quartz to do anything but summon. Keep Class Affinity in mind too.
