Took 88 turns (Mashu/Tamamo/support Merlin, none of them died) which maybe could've been shortened if I brought 2030 instead of Prisma Cosmos on Tamamo and set up proper brave chains but whatever

What about single-target welfares, like Chloe and Sakata? with some CS, you could one-shot Kingprotea with the latter.

Anything that lets her use her NP more often. So arts buff, NP gain buff, NP gain per turn... Those kind of things.
Ah, so I should put a MLB Prisma Cosmos on her? I usually just put an Arts buff CE on her.
I think NP Gain Buff and Arts Buff are better, she has a lot of hits on her Arts card and a typical Caster deck, so she doesn't really need passive NP regen.

Gamepress says that Prisma Cosmos is the best choice for her.
I assume that the NP gain per turn is intended to keep her building her gauge even if she doesn't attack.

Prisma Cosmos
is a generically good one for Arts based teams since it's 8% every turn, though it's arguably better suited for Merlin since his inherent NP charge stacks with it and Tamamo already has solid enough NP gain on her own due to having plenty of hits on her cards.
A Fragment of 2030 is also a good idea, since 8 crit stars per turn is pretty solid and allows for Arts teams to crit more often than they normally would, and is beneficial for charging NP quickly.
Craft essences that increase NP gain such as Little Halloween Devil, A Fox Night's Dream, Faithful Companions, and Chaldea Lifesvers all have beneficial secondary effects that allow for more NP spam on top of something else (the first handful I listed are probably the best ones though). In terms of just NP gain, Divine Banquet is also a good choice and is also 4 Star, meaning it might be feasible to MLB it.
Finally, Arts UP CEs are also solid choices since you'll be using Arts cards for the most part anyway. Street Choco-Maid and Meat Wars provide both Arts Up and Healing, keeping Tamamo alive, but there's also the option of just improving Arts with CEs like Formal Craft.
Of course there are other Craft Essences that can be useful depending on the specific quest, those are all good areas to focus on for nearly every quest.

there's also the Kariya CE if you're desperate 60% chance for 15% NP charge while taking 500HP damage every turn.

Interesting. I don't actually have dedicated Quick/Arts/Buster teams yet, since I don't delve deep into the meta. My take on challenge quests is usually "get Waver and friend Merlin and whichever Servant class is strong against the enemy, or just take Kintoki".
