Story: Mario and Luigi games.

Name: Fawful

Age: Between 23 and 47

Gender: Male

Species: Beanish.

Appearance: Here.

Personality: Odd, to say the least. He's a genius, but not in language. He speaks Engrish exclusively, and makes LOTS of food-related metaphors. He has a tendency to call anyone he dislikes a "fink-rat". He's always Crazy-Prepared. He never says, "I am", instead he says, "I have". He treats those loyal to him well, even if they are only loyal because they were brainwashed. He has a strong hatred towards Mario and Luigi. He never stops holding a grudge. He will get his revenge, even if it takes 10 years of nothing but preparations. He's also evil. That's also important.

Background: He used to be Cackletta's Dragon, but then Cackletta was defeated by Mario and Luigi. He then sucked up Cackletta's soul using his headgear, and let her possess Bowser, creating Bowletta. After Mario and Luigi were nearly to Bowletta, Fawful fought Mario and Luigi, but lost, and fell out of the currently floating Bowser's castle. Some time later, Fawful used Blorb Mushrooms to "blorb" some of the Toads, then gave Bowser a Vaccuum Shroom, making him inhale Mario, Luigi, Peach, Starlow, some toads, and some other stuff. Eventually, Bowser made it to Peach's castle, where Fawful was, and defeated Midbus, who was Fawful's loyal toady. Immediately afterwards, the Dark Star awoke, and Fawful began sucking in it's power using his headgear. He started absorbing the Dark Star's power, but that was interrupted by him being transported to the City of Lost Characters.

Abilities: Flying using the flying saucer, flying using the headgear, ramming, swinging using the headgear, shooting electricity balls one at a time using the headgear, multiple electricity balls from the headgear at once, a circular stream of stars using the star gun, electricity spheres through black portals, a ring of dark electricity spheres, sucking up things using the headgear, giving someone temporary ice powers using the star gun, and healing gas from the headgear.

Skills: He is extremely good with technology. For example, given the right materials, he can turn a castle into a robot in less that 6 hours. He is also an exceptionally good cook.

Items: Headgear (Allows Fawful to do many things, including fly, more on the other things in abilities.), flying saucer (Allows Fawful to fly without using the headgear.), and a star gun (Has two settings. The first setting is shooting a circular stream of stars. The second setting is giving someone temporary ice powers.).

Other: Almost all of his abilities are entirely dependent on his items, and they often need fixing. Also, he is weak physically.

Okay Yoshi, I am not a mod, but I am here to give you a bit of friendly advice, player to player. Firock is a very busy guy and running this RP is a lot of work for him. Now while the extras might be interesting extra flavor, they don't really add anything that's useful for the game and basically all they'll do is make extra stuff for him to look over and they'd just waste time. He made the sign-up at the beginning of this thread as a way to streamline sign-ups so he could look them over very quickly, get what questions he might need to ask together, and process things more easily. I think any GM you talk to will say that's why they create the sign-ups they do.

Secondly, while Ocean was being a little too acerbic in the response to your post, a very good point was being raised, and automatically defaulting to "are you a mod" comes across a little rude and condescending. If things are done for a reason, and you're told they're done for a reason, the proper response would be to take the advice given and modify your work.

This bunch in this game, and really in most of the games on Tropes, are generally a rather helpful bunch so far as pointing out mistakes or typos or the like, though admittedly sometimes a little too sarcastic for their own good. So I've found that usually the best response when offered advice, even if the tone sounds a little meaner than you might like, is to accept it for what it is, and thank them for it, and 99 times out of 100, the person will respond cheerfully. If they did continue to insult you thereafter, a call to the moderators of the forum itself would probably be in order.

TL;DR, try to listen to what's being said to you, try not to take tone personally (especially because tone is generally very hard to understand in text rather than speech), and it would be very helpful to everyone if you modified your sign-up to fit within the parameters that were defined by the GM at the beginning of the sign-up thread.

Hey what do ya know? I found a character to play in this RP again.... (LWA spoilers ahead)

• Story: Little Witch Academia
• Name: Professor Ursula Callistis/ Chariot du Nord
• Age, gender, and species: 27-ish?, Female, Human
• Appearance: You can do it Akko!
  • As Chariot du Nord
• Personality: Ursula carries an air of maturity and reserve typical of a teacher, and spends most of her time by herself. She is a lowkey, meek individual and sometimes get lost in her own thoughts, depressingly thinking about her past. She is supportive of the students in her care and is shown to have a motherly side to her as well. The motherly side of her is amplified when she becomes Chariot du Nord, as she's willing to risk life and limb to protect the ones she loves.
• Backstory: Professor Ursula Callistis is the astrology teacher at Luna Nova Academy. She teaches the student witches of Luna Nova how to use their magic to predict the future and read celestial bodies. She also mentors the energetic new student at Luna Nova, Akko Kagari, helping her get a better understanding to being a witch. However, unbeknownst to Akko and the rest of students of Luna Nova, Ursula harbors a secret past.

• “Ursula Callistis” is actually an alias for her true identity as Chariot du Nord, a past student of Luna Nova and better known as the legendary performer Shiny Chariot. Shiny Chariot was known the world over for her epic magic shows and illusionary spells that entertained the masses. Her Shiny Chariot character is controversial: many loved her as a performer (in fact, Chariot is the driving factor for Akko to become a witch), but to her fellow witches, she is seen as nothing more than a joke. After a stunt went horrifically wrong during one of her shows, she stopped being Shiny Chariot and has not donned the name in ten years, but her past play a significant part in Akko's adventures in Luna Nova. At least until she was pulled in this wonderful city.
• Skills/powers/abilities:
  • Can manipulate objects with her magic as long as she can use her magic (up to and including the size of a car will be her limit in this RP)
  • Can enhanced physical attacks she throws using her magic, as well as use it to walk on walls.
  • Can use her magic as a shield, a burst of energy and can conjure up objects completely made up of magic.
  • Displays impressive strength and agility, both as Ursula and when she's Chariot du Nord as seen here and here.

@Oceanstuck and Vampireandthen: While your initiative to step in and assist while I was away is appreciated, do not be rude about it.

That said, @Thegeniusyoshi: Oceanstuck was correct about everything she mentioned, and you were also acting rude. This RP does not use stats so the inclusion of them on your sheet is pointless. The sections on your sheet are out of order, and not formatted very well, making the sheet also very hard to read. Until you fix that, you will not be accepted.

And for your information, Oceanstuck thumped that post herself; if an admin had thumped it, the text would be a different color. Also the word "retarded" has nothing at all to do with fire; you're thinking of the term "fire retardant".

Oh and thank you @Cole Minor for acting as the voice of reason while I was gone.

@mrstack345: I will be getting to your signup sheet later after I take care of some other things. But one simple question- why did you not spoiler her second appearance link even though you put everything else regarding that information in spoilers?

Also, linking to a wiki page for her abilities rather than just summarizing them in the sheet yourself not only makes you look lazy, but is inconvenient for everyone else, including me.

I could have? I haven't been on TV Tropes for a while so I'm a bit rusty with the formatting.

As for her abilities: here's an abridged version for your convenience.

• Can manipulate objects with her magic and grant them sentience as long as she can use her magic (up to and including the size of a car will be her limit in this RP)
• Can fly a broom to travel across the city ( Canon!Ursula lost her ability to fly, but upon entering the city, she has regained it so it'd make traveling easier for her.)
• Can enhanced physical attacks she throws using her magic, as well as use it to walk on walls.
• Can use her magic as a shield, a burst of energy and can conjure up objects completely made up of magic (i.e. a megaphone, a sword etc.)
• Can predict the future by reading the stars (this can be removed if you like)

Yes I am lazy like that sorry. :P

@mrstack345: You should edit that list into your original signup post, since I keep the signups linked for other people to check; it is not fair to other people wanting to know what your character is capable of if her skills are in a separate post.

I won't allow her giving items sentience, as that's pretty much reality warping.

Why would she arbitrarily regain her ability to fly upon entering the city? Unless there's some reason to actually justify that, I won't allow that either.

I also won't allow her seeing the future. That you even brought it up suggests that maybe you didn't actually read through my signup rules, since it was clearly specified that people wouldn't be allowed to have the ability to see the future.

@Vampireandthen: And few things piss me off more than a conceited player who thinks it's alright for them to badmouth and disrespect others just because they think they're better. But the one thing I really won't tolerate is when such a player acts like they were justified to behave that way and refuses to apologize when they get called out on their behavior.

So you can either shape up and apologize, or you can get out of my RP.

Made the necessary edits to Professor Ursula's signup sheet and I accept all the nerfs. I understand the terms of the RP, it was just things I needed to bring up to give you an idea of her character and remove things you didn't agree with (like the adding sentience thing or future reading). She also won't be able to fly.

I am back because it's been too long and because Cole needs to get his shit together.

• Story: Black Lagoon
• Name: Shenhua
• Age/Gender/Species: Mid 20's/Late 20's, Female and Chinglish Human
• Appearance: Triad's Finest. She's not crazy, I swear. (feat. Sawyer)
• Personality: It's easy to underestimate Shenhua due to her peppy demeanour and clipped English. Nevertheless, she likes to keep things lighthearted all the same whenever there isn't a need to become serious. As such, she tends to come across as a kooky Chinese lady that will say hi and murder you gorily with the same dumb smile. You, however, don't become someone of this renown without considerable skill, especially if you favor melee weapons over guns (something that almost everybody in Roanapur has); it must not be forgotten that like most who stay in that town, Shenhua is not above morally questionable deeds. It's just business, most of the time.
• Backstory: There isn't much to say here. Shenhua is who she is; a mercenary of considerable skill that is mainly employed by Roanapur's branch of Kan Yi Fan Triad. Quick on her feet, as deadly as she is beautiful and with an unusual selection of weapons, she's just another resident of Roanapur, the hive of corruption that every criminal organization out there seems to strive for. Currently a roomie with Frederica Sawyer (who was here before) and Rotton the Wizard (who we hope won't ever be here, the poor sod).
• Skills/Powers/Abilities:
  • Shenhua is naturally agile and swift. Despite moving around in high heels she can outpace and outmaneuver gunmen left and right, those these usually come off whenever the situation gets serious.
  • She also has strength to spare; able to behead people with a well-placed blow from her rope kukris (more on that later) and sever limbs off.
  • A good shot (throw?) with her throwing knives as well.
  • Speaks fluent Chinese and Taiwanese. Her English is... lacking though.
• Items:
  • Two razor-sharp kukris. They've got a length of leather rope attached to them, letting Shenhua use them for mid-ranged combat; they can also be thrown.
  • A selection of throwing knives; they can be thrown separately or in a flurry (like pictured above).
  • Aforementioned high heels have detachable stilletos.
