Well the break for health reasons have certainly shows why the recent chapters have been shorter.
Man this chapter was pointless for the most part barring the demon getting stabbed once. Here’s hoping it gets wrapped up quickly.

It's really weird to have such a long arc in a series where arcs were never longer than one or two volumes before… This one has been going for, what, 8 volumes now?

This arc has been going on for nearly an entire year.
Even the anime has started adapting it already.

Going by the posts in this thread, this arc has been going since February 2018 if we count from Julius' death. A couple months before that if we count from the point Mereo & co started raiding the Elf hidehout.

At least we got to see where the rest of the cast is doing along with Mereoleona. Now we leave it to Asta, Yuno, and Yami for a triple finishing strike!

Ya know at first I was confused at Gauche’s constant high placements but then someone reminded of his mirror magic & I was like “Okay that makes more sense. He has one of the more versatile & distinct powers of the series.”

Actually, it's cool (and rare) to have a gender-balanced top 10 in a battle shonen. Now on one hand I appreciate that Noelle kicked Blankslate Rival #162 out of the top 3, on the other hand Leona ranking any lower than n˚1 is a disgrace. Charlotte in 6th place though…? Eeh…
Charmy is apparently part dwarf, which is why she's so short in the first place or something.
She becomes "tall" when her human half becomes dominant.
But she needs more to her than "food obsessed who becomes thirsty for a boy because he gave her food ONE time".

Yeah Charmy's rather one-note as a character. She hasn't really had much in the way of character development. Even Luck the Battle-Whore got moments of showing him moving beyond just being a Bloodknight & he's ranked lower than her. She's practically still the same person since the start of the story.
I also have some issues with Mimosa ranking in. She's not very interesting or cool especially since a lot of her moments is just going gaga over Asta. I feel like hers & Charlotte's placements are at least partially or majorly due to shipping.

Being a Static Character isn't always bad, if said character is used sparsely enough. I do find her crush on Yuno annoying, but that's a problem I have with pretty much every female character in this minus Leona, so…
Mimosa theyve done well in developing her in other ways. Like her positively venomous remarks towards her brother.

Without a doubt the perfect way to get people to like a character more. Introduce a shitty older sibling. 
Well it’s not that being a Static Charcater is bad, it’s just that being a one-note gag makes ya kinda apathetic.
