A sleeping young man washes ashore on a raft, the raft promptly falls apart and he's plunged into the cold water, "Gah!" He turns around a few times, "Where am I?"

The dazed young man on the beach, witnessing the other man take an unexpected bath in the water, stands up, going to assist him. "Hey, are you alright?" He asks, extending a hand to help him up.

The shadowy figure is slightly miffed at being ignored and takes the oppurtunity to hoard as many coconuts as possible.

The formerly sleeping man takes the offered hand and pulls himself up. He smiles, shyly, "Thanks for that... I'm Chris, by the way."

"Oh, sure. No problem. I'm Greg. Nice to meet you." Greg says to Chris.
Hearing movement behind him, he spots the shadowy figure. "Um...what's that...?" He asks no one in particular, but loud enough for the figure to probably hear him.

Yes, hello. Have you any idea what this place is? One minute I'm being all shadowy and mysterious, next I'm on Gilligans Island, with an evil scheme to hoard all the coconuts...

It's quite ingenious. Soon, all the coconuts will be mine. That means I will be able to charge however many bananas I want for a single coconut.

Yes; close to a stream a little ways inland. There's a bamboo patch nearby it as well. We may have to find that sharp rock soon if we want it for huts...

"I'm sure there are sharp rocks to go around." Chris smiles, "if you can lead me over there, I'll see what I can do to clear out the area for a rudimentary "village" until we can figure out what else to do..."

A short distance away from the others another person, barley concious, washes up on the island's shore and slowly stands up before speaking to nobody in particular.
"That was most unpleasant, I suppose I am lucky to have avoided any nasty jellyfish or the like though. Now to work out just where I might be..."

"Hey...is that someone over there?" Greg says, noting someone in the distance. He starts to wave his arms around. "Hey!" He shouts, trying to get Laith's attention.

Laithelryn, intently focused on a distant and brightly coloured bird at the time, is startled to hear another person's voice and quickly spins around to face them, odd apparel swishing in the process.
"Another person‽ Most intriguing!"
Laithelryn excitedly waves back and begins walking towards the other person.

He sits up, looking around.

This is an RP based of the forum game, We, The Tropers, Are Stuck In A Spaceship. This variant takes place on a seemingly deserted island in the middle of nowhere, but follows the same general rules and formula of the spaceship version. You are fee to jump in or out at any time, and everyone is free to participate in plot and world building, should they wish.
Please keep a few things in mind: 1) Please, be kind to the other players. Rudeness and general dickery won't be tolerated. 2) Please, play fairly and reasonably. 3) Some randomness is OK, but please don't over do it. 4) If you participate in combat, please, no autohits, and no ghosting (ignoring attacks. Say whether it hits, or you dodge it, etc.). 5) Please, no hijacking other player's characters, plots, etc., without permission.
Now that all that's over, let the game begin.
Somewhere on the edge of an unknown coastline, a young man lies unconscious on the sand below. Finally, as consciousness starts to return return to him, he sits up, taking in the whole of his surroundings before sighing and saying.
"...This can't be good."
