I think you really should readjust your expectations here. Momon is a level 100 character in a world where the equivalent, AT BEST, would be a level 30 Yggdrasil player, and anyone higher would be considered legendary. OF COURSE he'd overpower most of the opposition he'd run into.

By the way, the Overlord Drama CD is available to listen to, but it requires knowledge of book 3.

To give context, we're introduced to a monster that's in the level 80-85 range, and it's NOT considered a Raid Boss, and yet it's still considered a "world-ending" threat by a local.

I really don't understand the complaint of OP M Cs. Has the likes of SAO and Mahouka made people that adverse to OP M Cs? Personally, I'd take an OP MC any day over the same "underdog" hero that grows. Because ultimately, the end result will be the same and whether the journey leading to that end result is worth all that time spent in a story making the character "stronger" varies greatly by the author (hint: usually it's not). Especially not for a series like this where the main character is basically the "Final Boss" of this new world.

"Final Boss" is very fitting.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Mhm. a Villain Protagonist doesn't play by the same rules; they're allowed to have overwhelming advantage over everyone else, especially early on. Because playing the underdog is the hero's job.

having an op mc is fine if the story is built with this in mind and has the drama come from other places. having an OP MC wasn't the only reason sao was bad(though it was part of the problem), that show was just very amateurishly written overall.

a good example of a series with an OP MC is one-punch man because the drama and narrative structure supports saitama's power, and saitama himself is an entertaining and sympathetic character.

I'm a bit annoyed that they cut out the "Narberal contacts Albedo via bunny ears" segment, ESPECIALLY since it leads to a funny scene with Demiurge and Albedo in Ainz/Momonga's room.

I saw the art; Nabe looked dead sexy.

She made a cute sound when she got head chopped by Ains; would let her call me trash anyday.

According to LN translations (from skythewood.blogspot.sg), Narberal is supposedly ridiculously beautiful. The LN art kinds of shows this, but the anime has her as just "cute".

[up][up]You forgot to mention that along with their latest translation update, they also have included a few more character sheets (which now includes the humans). tongue

Weirdly, they're still mostly "?" with the levels lolololol.

Even assuming Gazef is level 30 (which is already unlikely), he's still weaker than the weakest maid. tongue That's not just "OP MC", that's "OP every major NPC from the game". [lol]

Hm, are alignments appropriate for this series? The official character sheets from the light novels have character alignments but they're more on a biaxial scale (extreme evil —> extreme good with numeric quantifiers). Though it shouldn't be too difficult to determine the characters' law versus order axis by their actions.

[up][up]

Most of the human natives barring Evileye are assumed to be equivalent to level 30 and below. Indeed, the only one explicitly given a level that's even remotely close to the Nazarick people is Evileye herself, who's estimated to be level 50 as she's able to fight Etotama, one of the maids, almost equally.

"Sense of Justice" seems to be the Lawful-Chaotic measure. It goes negative btw, which is chaotic. Cocytus and most of the maids have a positive "Sense of Justice", and Sebas understandably have the highest among the Nazarick denizens.

That makes sense since I'd consider Sebas as Lawful and the NP Cs with -500 as chaotic. Though I think Ainz fits more Lawful (or at most Neutral) than Chaotic despite also having -500 sense of justice. He fits pretty closely as a type 2.

Not as strange once you consider that the only reason he's following rules is either due to a personal sense of justice or for the sake of convenience due to still being unsure if he can truly curbstomp the whole world without either him or one of his companions suffering for such behavior; which is very much one of the possible definitions of "chaotic".

Usually chaotics can't be bothered to hold themselves back or pre-empt consequences.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Yes, that is the simpler way to interpret chaotic, but there's also the guy who follows rules that don't inconvenience him too much while otherwise doing what he wants with little or no regards for rules.

Just like lawful can be either a by the books guy that diligently follows the rules or a guy who abuses the rules to break the system from within.

So, I say it's still valid.

Albedo chaotic is not the same as Ainz/Momonga chaotic, even though they're both -500.

Pretty much everything the Guardians do is because of loyalty to Nazarick, so I'd honestly just say "Lawful" for the lot (except Momonga, who's more a Neutral).

Very early morning of Tuesday, so it'll be around 4 hours from now. It will also be Tuesday here anyway since I'm at the same side of the Pacific, Japan is just an hour ahead of us in terms of timezones.

EDIT: Stupid me, it's very early of Wednesday! LOL I thought it was earlier, but I forgot that it would still be Jitsu Wa's air slot.
