Ruby facepalms. "Ohhhh, now I get it! By 'spyglass', you mean like, the show just happened to depict us and wasn't being made by looking at Remnant from across reality. Right?"

She smirks.

"Exactly. You might have a brain up there after all," she quips.

"So how did you get a gods-damned Metal Gear? Is it a replica or like... from Metal Gear?"

Ruby pointedly ignores the quip.

"It's from Metal Gear. In this world, I'm working for Snake himself to fight the bad guys!"

Weiss seems at a slight loss. Despite it being perfectly plausible, it still sounds surreal.

"... Is he still voiced by-, er sound like David Hayter?"

"... I dunno!" Ruby cheerfully admits. "I never paid much attention to the whole 'shows about us' thing on my end of the bighuge crossover."

"That's fair."

She dusts herself off. Time to get situated in this... place.

"Well, it was nice meeting you, Ruby. I suppose I'll see you around?"

"Ye! Have fun, Weiss! I'll see you later!"

Ruby jumps back into REX and stomps off.

Weiss goes off to find somewhere to stay. I dunno, maybe a hotel. Not that hotel."

Azula is standing over a horrifyingly charred carcass, rendered unrecognizable by flame and heat.

"Tch. What a weak thing. It couldn't even last long enough to sear right. I'll have to hunt another one."

Oh, Shoto, hello! What you doing here?

"Oh come on, I need to eat sometimes," she says as she turns around, before exclaiming "Wha- Zuko?!"

"No... you do resemble him, though. Especially with that."

There are restaurants there. I could guide you to one.

He then tilt his head to the side when "Zuko" is mentioned. ... Oh, the scar? He says, apparently overhearing her.

"Unless you mean all the way back in the main city, I don't think there are many restaurants here, actually."

She winces.

"Tch, yeah. My brother had an... almost identical scar, actually. Same place and everything."

I could guide you there.

He then nods. ... That's a weird coincidence. Mumbles Shoto, keeping his cold but absent-mindedly tapping on the scar.

"... I shall accept your guidance. It would be pretty embarrassing to tire myself out flying all over the place looking for it."

"Who are you, anyways?"

Shoto.

He nods and turn around, beginning to head down. .. So, you've got a Fire Quirk?

"I'm Azula," she says as she follows him.

"I guess you could call it that. I'm a firebender. It's common enough, where I'm from."

She sparks a blue fire to life on the tip of her finger. It might remind him of Dabi's fire, actually.

"I'm guessing you have some fire too?"

Same. It's easier to find people with no powers where I come from.

He wordlessly demonstrate his Quirk by lighting flames over his fingers, then dispel them with a smooth motion. Your flames seems hotter than mine.

She huffs.

"They always said I was a prodigy. A 'natural firebender'."

"Me and my brother were the latest results of a... let's say, family eugenics experiment. To produce perfect firebenders. I was declared a success, and heeeeeee was not."

Despite what is ostensibly bragging, she seems fairly somber.

"There's some very bad blood between us, but I would be lying if I said I don't sometimes think about reaching out to him."

Shoto briefly stops at Azula's story, but then carries on, though he lower his head slightly.

You really should do that. He says, somberly.

"... Perhaps I will, once I find a way to return to where I came from. I don't think it's very likely he would welcome me after all this time, but I suppose I lose nothing from trying."

Who are you and what have you done with Azula. ... Oh, right, you aren't the one from canon. Carry on.

She puts her hands behind her head, looking up at the sky as they walk.

"What about you, Shoto? You got family issues?"

Yeah, a fair amount of it. He downplay, every so casually making a light ice bridge to cross a small gap. He slide down it.

"Hm." She doesn't press him, though.

"... You can bend water? Or make ice, I guess? How does that work?"

I never truly considered it. But I guess it'd be closer to... icebending than water-bending. He says. It's useful for disabling enemies without killing them, provided they're not kept frozen long.

"I guess your powers aren't quite like bending after all, at least technically."

"An aspect of my firebending is that I can generate and fire bolts of lightning." She makes some sparks, er, spark between her fingers with her Storm powers. Yeah, that's not the quite same thing, but whatever it helps her point.

"Fire and lightning are close spiritually, but it turns out they aren't really related in a physical sense, sooo... I don't know, can you or people like you lightningbend? Or is it just fire."
