The blow stuck the tentacles true. But a counter is a counter, and the resulting stagger left Miki briefly vulnerable, just in time to see the plasma cannon come to bear. She quickly went into an immediate dive roll in the opposite direction it was brought up, hoping for a miracle and that the shot would somehow miss.

"No... What happened was... well, whatever caused me to go from Gensokyo to a empty void happened on the same day the scarlet mist occurred. I don't know who or what or why. It just happened without warning." Rin explains.

The plasma blast explodes on impacting the forcefield and staggers the colossus.

"MMMBMMBG!"

It understands what just happened however, and raises its own field in response. Almost invisible, blue light shimmers around it.

It fingers the cannon carefully, managing to spot Miles.

It points the plasma cannon at him, and starts charging. Yellow energy starts swirling around the barrel.

Miki hit the ground, alive somehow. It took looking up to see the force-field for her to realize there was an intervention.

"Nani?" She stood up. The monstrosity was nowhere to be found, until she saw the light swirl, which was pointing away from her. Seizing this opportunity, and realizing she'd need more than her scythe alone, she planted her scythe into the ground and held a closed fist to her chest. This caused her whole body to glow with a yellow-green light.

"You have value precisely because you are ordinary. No organization can last if it has only stars."

Breathing a sigh of relief at seeing the girl safe for the moment, Miles suddenly heard what sounded like charging and turned his head only to wince at seeing the colossus now had its attention focused on him, "Uhh...I don't suppose you be willing to talk about this over some tea, would you?"

Somehow, he knew this would fall on deaf ears, "Yeah, I'm not much of a tea drinker myself...anyhow." Seeing the girl needed time to do whatever she planned, Miles raised his hands and focused, creating a line of multiple blue forcefields in front of him.

It lowers the force field for a split second, noticing the barriers between it and Miles.

It swivels towards Miki, and with computer-augmentation enhanced accuracy to the milimeter, fires an powerful, armor punching beam of plasma at her to try to interrupt the transformation (and, well, fry her and blow her to pieces).

Koryo briefly looked at Ammy, Chibi and Susanoo, who had just entered the so-called Forge. "Oh, what are you guys doing here? Robodude here and I were havin' an intimate moment, you know?~" He said jokingly.

The brief distraction was all Miki needed. The onigiri sigil she was known for flashed, signaling her completed transformation, and Miki leapt up over the shot and hovered there. Her appearance was completely changed, now wearing a predominantly black and red magical girl outfit with golden epaulettes. Her eyes, once green, were now glowing bright red. Her scythe was held in front of her.

"It's Miki's turn now." She said in an unnervingly calm voice. "And Miki is very angry." She swiped her left hand in front of her, in the process forming and throwing a hand-sized yellow-green onigiri at her opponent.

"An empty void? And what happened then? How did you end up in this arena?"

"A Magical Girl...sure, why not?" Miles shrugged in acceptance as he made a motion with his hands and two of the shields flew to his sides as part of his defense before clenching a fist and making each remaining forcefield twist and bend so they took on the shape of spheres before being hurled towards the armored man.

The Cephalopod grumbles, and raises the field again. The honestly primitive explosive detonates against it.

It's pissed off. If he was just in a squad these punies would be dead a thousand times over, but his anti-tank weapon just ain't fast enough against Meguca.

It then staggers under the impact of the force fists and yells at Miles in his burbly alien language, before raising a tentacle at him and throwing an antimatter grenade.

Miki went to work against the opponent in front of her to take advantage of this distraction. She began firing a trio of onigiri shaped magical rockets at this... alien... as she circled around him until she was on the side that was opposite to where her unknown assistant's attack came from, and then created an onigiri sigil on the ground.

Seeing that the magical girl had taken up an attack position opposite to his, Miles nodded only to see the antimatter grenade coming. Thinking quickly, he brought his two remaining shields together and forced them to take the shape of hollow half-spheres which were then used to catch the grenade...

However, the explosion was still powerful enough to break the shield and the concussive force sent him flying off his feet and hit the ground, tumbling several feet away in pain.

It counters the rockets with a series of quick blasts from the canon, reducing them to slag. Or vapor.

He's a bit busy, but his tentacles lash out: If Miki is within ten feet she'll get a rude slappening.

Seeing the tentacles lash out, this time Miki counters. Swinging her scythe to block the incoming attack knocked her away, but saved her from an unwelcome slapping that would give this thread a R rating. Despite seeing someone flying from the explosion of the grenade this alien threw, her focus remained on the alien as she landed on the opposite side of her sigil. This was then followed by her continuing her circling attack run, tossing grenades as she began slowly tightening her circle.

Miles groaned as he forced himself to stand, feeling a bit of blood trickle down his face though otherwise he was fine, "Ok...so dude with the suit has some pretty good firepower...in that case.." He swapped his ability out for straight-up Super Strength, "Alright, buddy, you need to..." He ripped one of the trees out from their foundations, "Calm..." He hurled it, "Down!!!"

Ceph hunkers down, the grenades staggering the force field but not shattering it.

It's eyes widen at Mile's display of strength, and it starts charging another superbeam.

A grenade is tossed Miki's way.

Then the tree slams into it and it goes down, the projectile bouncing off but the forcefield flickering and the alien getting knocked onto its ass.

Miki countered by tossing a Rocketgiri at the grenade, with the ensuing explosion sending Miki flying back two dozen feet. She regained her bearings in midair and used her boots to come to a skidding stop. Now getting a good view of her assistant, whom to her surprise was using a tree as a weapon, she decided to help. She began a charge towards their mutual enemy for a two pronged attack, tossing more rockets and getting ready to dodge should this alien change targets.

As two clones literally exploded when hit, ten more pods started opening. The eight fully awakened clones immediately started barraging Thor and Fighter with fire.

Dark Meta Knight was met with a massive beam of hellfire from Calamitas, who hadn't even turned his way yet.

The robot held out its arm to the side, conjuring in its hand a sword that was easily bigger than Susanoo himself.

"I am in a nice mood today. That's why I will give you one chance to retract that statement before I vaporize you." It said coldly, looking at Susanoo.

Susanoo looks eager to fight on but realize that he still has enemies to go bye and sigh.

"Fine, machine. I retract my statement. You are worthy of respect."

Ares walks by.

"Nice sword." he says, before leaving and heading out for Thor and Fighter. Speaking of Thor, he smash the ground to create a mighty electric storm to deal with the fire, attempting to tag some Calamitas as well.

"I CREATE LIIIIGGHHTTNNIINNNNGGGG !"
