He throws a broadsword like a javelin out of the veritable swordnado.

I'm not loosing you like this, lass..., Megan thought to herself. She remained calm, and pulled Reyna over to the nearest part of the shore. The position would be such that Xeno wouldn't be able to attack Reyna without attacking Megan first.

A quiet, observant, and shadowy figure descended on rise in the land some distance away. He took no action, merely watched the actions unfold.

Reyna flops onto the shore, panting and gagging while laying on her belly. She struggles to try and get up, then falls back to the ground, staring vacantly off in no particular direction. Megan may be able to hear, very faintly, that Reyna is whimpering in fear and pain.

Xeno'jiiva prepares to attack.

Megan paid not the slightest attention to Xeno'jiiva, as her focus was on treating Reyna's injuries in the only way she knew how — with a bit of Alchemy. She whispered calmly to Reyna, as she uncorked a health potion, and administered it to her.
"You'll be alright, I promise you."

The shadowy figure (It's actually just Iraaxos being kind of edgy, but don't worry about it) descended further and attempted to stride, ever so quietly, over the sands towards Xeno'jiiva. Megan might have a history of trying to kill him, but that insolent woman would be his prey, not Xeno's — such was his reasoning, at least as far as he told himself.

Reyna whimpers a little more audibly before she drinks the potion. Her most severe injury - the shattered ribcage - undoes itself, but she still has a crippled leg.

Xeno'jiiva sneers.    "Do you think you understand my fear and pain now?"   

Reyna simply lies there, shuddering and staring vacantly into the distance. She reaches up for Megan's shoulder to support herself.

   "As long as you have allies to comfort you... you never will understand me."   

Vague Noctilum

Trainer is in his arachnoid exosuit. He is following around a tardigradesque exosuit three times his size.

"Wow, Professor! I never knew of such things!"

"Yes, young Trainer. I have told you before, you must expand your arsenal."

"Gee, Professor! I wish I knew how to make Dark Balls!"

Dokan is sitting around, in the exact same spot as last time. He’s playing on his Game Boy, minding his own buisness. It’s not clear how his stubby paw-fingers can press the buttons accurately, yet he does.

"Trainer. Go confront the mutant."

"I thought it was a 'flareon'?"

"It appears similar to a 'Kanto' flareon, yes, but it is obviously heavily anthropomorphized. It is likely a mutant, a separate/alternate species, or the result of genetic experimentation gone too far. Whichever, it is too valuable to be let go. Just remember: There is the distinct possibility it was originally human."

"Yes, Professor!"

The arachnoid exosuit blunders out into the open and slowly jogs at Dokan.

Dokan hears the conversation, but doesn’t react. He keeps playing on. One could hear the familiar soundtrack of DKC 2 if they got closer.

Trainer approaches Dokan.

"Hey!"

He holds out a poke ball.

"Get in the pokeball!"

Professor facepalms with a crack of steel on cockpit.

Dokan shuts the GBA closed, and turns his attention to Trainer. ”Why are you so hellbent on “catching” me anyway? There’s a lot of better things to do than just run around chasing a teenager.”

"Buh… because you're rare…?"

"No, you stupid twat! You're supposed to say 'for science'! My god, however did you of all people catch a Mew?!"

"Uh… because I'm… for science?"

"Better!"

Dokan looks unimpressed.

”You could uh, go outside. And have a nice trip to the beach. Maybe bake some brownies with whoever’s your neighbor.” Dokan pulls out a small red-colored book. He quickly flips through all the pages. It appears to be an extremely rudimentary, yet complete, Pokédex. ”You want me for research or something? That’s already been done ages ago.”

"Uh, great! We're gonna do it again! Besides, why would one go to the rocky shores of Holilan, besides to catch pokemon?"

Professor watches this living example of totalitarian-bred ignorance.

"… Maybe it wouldn't be a terrible idea to move to Poheru…"

"I'm going to capture you and become the most notable trainer in Holilan! Get ready to do battle once again!"

He holds out a pokeball dramatically.

Dokan sighs, and reaches back into his pockets. He at first appears to pull the Game Boy out, but pulls out and throws at Trainer what was once a Great Ball, now nearly unrecognizable.

Professor basically has a Metal Gear sound effect go off over his head, and atomizes the former great ball with a powerful blast of radiation.

"No."

"U-uh…"

Trainer takes a stumbling step backwards, the beam having missed him by less than a foot.

Dokan looks in his pocket again. Strangely, the Not-Great Ball is still there, but his Game Boy is missing.”....shiit.” Dokan’s eyes get a little watery.

Professor zeroes in on Dokan.

"Do not do that. This exosuit is armed and ready to fire nuclear ordnance. Do combat with the Trainer conventionally."

"Y-yeah! You tell 'em, Professor!"

"god, i hate this country."

Dokan breaks down. He starts bawling like a baby. He moans and bends down over the ashes of his former system. This goes on for a little longer. Dokan forgets all about Trainer and instead rushes towards the Professor sword in paws.

The sword bounces off of Professors exosuit without leaving a scratch.

"Fascinating."

Trainer watches, bewildered.

Dokan doesn’t stop. He keeps hitting the exosuit, each swing getting stronger and warmer.

The suit starts taking scratch damage.

"... If I repair your machine, will you stop ruining my paint job?"

Trainer takes out a Dark Ball.

Dokan can’t hear him. All he knows is pain and anger now. It seems the Game Boy was very dear to him. Despite the heavy use, the sword doesn’t seem to be bent or damaged.

Minor scratches appear on the suit.

"... Where did I put that ball..."

Trainer freezes upon realizing that Professor us going to summon a monster, and quickly retreats.

"Ah, yes. I summon you forth, DIALGA."

He throws what appears to be a master ball.

Dokans eyes flash towards the incoming ball, and hears the Mythical Pokémon’s name. he quickly dashes towards it, attempting to snatch it out of the air like he did during his first encounter with Trainer, and attempts to flee.
