When you say that we're the aliens, do you mean that we're the ones with technology that appears to be magic to some observers?
Surprisingly not a member of any Echelon... or any gym for that matter. I seek nothing less than total air superiority. Not one to cry over.

What if there are no advance alien life-forms because the aliens are US!
Whether there is or isn't life on any planet besides Earth is debatable, as there are planets outside this solar system, but we just haven't come into contact with alien life. But what if we haven't made contact yet because they don't know how. What if there technology isn't up to our level? We might not be alone in the universe, but maybe the universe isn't ready for us yet. There could be planets that have creatures no different from our animals, just without human-or humanoid-intervention
Perhaps maybe there are humanoid aliens with our kind of intelligence, but there technology just haven't gone past, or maybe even not reached, our level. The alien invasion might never come because we're the aliens and we're just not ready to start invading planets yet.
