Hmm, that's how I interpreted his behaviour at first, but you may be right that it was more obsession than anything else. I think its his menacing demeanour that threw me for a loop there. I was taking it as wanting to find him to destroy him at first.
Optimism is a duty. This post from Franks tumblr makes me excited.
But then again, he also said that when someone asked if Tad Stones was going to be in the show, so you know.

Since I was able to find this on You Tube, here's the furst time original Fenton transformed into Gizmo Duck.
Gods, thats awful audio. I'm sure there's much better clips than that one. And the entire episode is online... somewhere.
Optimism is a duty.Original Duck Tales is hard to find on You Tube for some reason. Darkwing Duck though...
Sadly, Disney has never released this episode on DVD, so the video quality is crap, but here you go.
It's a shame, since this is a great episode. It's fun to see Drake and Fenon interact out of costume.

The full series is on a certain anime dub website that is only slightly less legal than the You Tube stuff, probably, but at least it has the full quality episodes, instead of crummy hacks like this.
Optimism is a duty. This review claims that Beaks calling Fenton "chico" and "amigo" are microagressions. Really? Is calling a Hispanic person amigo agressive? What do you guys think?
Optimism is a duty.I've seen non-Hispanic people use those words towards Hispanic people in a mocking fashion, so I would say that yes, it can be a form of microaggression. It all depends on the context the word is being used in.
Actors clearly didn't minded, so either it wasn't or Beaks was meant to be jerk.

I think the review is saying that in-universe, Beaks is engaging in microaggression against Fenton, not that such lines in the script are offensive towards the Hispanic community.
Yeah, I noticed it and edited the post.
I see your edit, and I think it's clearly the latter.
Beaks referring to Fenton as "chico" and "amigo" definitely struck me as passively racist.
I'm speaking as a white dude who grew up in a place with a mostly Latinx population, though, so grain of salt.
Well, I wasn't sure if the author meant that in general, or just for Beaks.
Optimism is a duty.Reading the review, it seems clear to me that the author was praising that aspect of Beaks as something that makes him a little more despicable in a realistic and subtle way.
So someone posted the family tree from a new DuckTales book on the ducktales Reddit.
It only shows the Mc Duck lineage, but otherwise it's pretty similar to Rosa's (for comparison), although some of the character designs have been changed a bit. A lot of the spots were scratched out though, and the page was ripped up.
I'm not suprised that Della is blotted out, but the others are interesting. Both of Scrooge's sisters are scratched out, as well at least one of Fergus' Brothers (Angus McDuck maybe?), and even a few of the ancestors (Sir Stuft McDuck, and Malcolm McDuck)

So anyone else think the inkblots seem a touch ominous?
Something tells me whatever secrets there are regarding the McDuck clan, we will not be ready for ANY of them.

I really liked how despite all the changes, Mma Crackshell-Cabrera actually turned out to be almost the exact same character as before. Mostly because underneath all the stereotypical trailer trash gags, I did rather like Mma Crackshell's personality.
The only big difference is I don't think she's aware he's Gizmoduck in this continuity. Otherwise her relationship with Fenton and personality are pretty much identical.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I got the impression she figured it out when Fenton called the suit to him off Beaks, or at least when Fenton disappeared in the chaos about the same time the real Gizmo Duck came back and reappeared on the shore after Gizmo Duck flew out over the ocean and exploded.
Fresh-eyed movie blogDunno. Huey was right next to her the whole time and he didn't figure it out.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Yeah, its a bit confusing who is supposed to know about Gizmo's identity and who doesn't know. Beaks definitely should know now.
Optimism is a duty. So, I wonder why Hortense and Matilda are scratched out of the family tree? I just noticed that Hortense's husband was too.
I know that La T Scrooge was usually estranged from them, but what happened here?
It's also odd that he blotted out two of the Mc Duck answers, Sir Stuft Mc Duck, and Malcolm Mc Duck.

Hortense Horsecollar? Since when has she been in the Mc Duck family tree?
Optimism is a duty.Wrong Hortence.
When did Beaks hate him? I thought it was clear he was obsessed from Gizmoduck's first appearance.
