To say nothing of those who manifest Quirks as newborns, long before they even have any actual personality. Remember that the very first known Quirk holder was a glowing baby.

[up] "Little baby left all alone in the dark, developed a quirk that gave it what it wanted the most and got themselves some light."

Sounds legitimate to me. (Also, it was patient zero and from other examples of toddlers shown in the series, it seems that the earlier a quirk develops, the more attuned it becomes to the user's most basic desires(which is part of one's personality), than more elaborate aspects)

OK, now explain ones like social butterfly Mina spraying acid everywhere. Or hotheaded extrovert Mitsuki having smooth skin. Or shy and awkward Tamaki having food powers.

[up][up]You're really stretching it here. This is another example of you making a lot of logical leaps to try and justify a pet theory of yours.

Challenge accepted.

1. Mina: "Melting" the personal, social and "expected" walls that separate people from another and keep others from approaching them, allowing her to approach them head on for socializing without any barriers stopping her.

2. Mitsuki: Headstrong, steadfast, and doesn't let anyone or anything affect ("stick") on her in any way or form like "water on a goose" or a "teflon frying pan". Hence, "Smooth Skin".

3. Tamaki: a socially awkward guy who feel better about himself when using the strength of other beings as his own and allowing him to be more confident and comfortable in his actions? "Digestive Manifestation" it is.

[up] Hey, "leaping" is what I do on default. Also, haven't been proven wrong either in this...(yet).

Personality creating the quirk could make a certain sense for the earliest generations of quirks, but at this point in time I think it's more likely reversed/flipped.

I personally do think that quirks can prompt behavior from their user to actually use them, like Toga's blood craving. As noted Quirks are biological so it would make sense these conditions affect behavior. That doesn't mean the person is helpless against the compulsions if they're self-destructive, and most probably aren't. I could imagine, for example, that Inko Midoriya simply always has an eye for small things on the ground or Suneater isn't picky about food.

The problem with using Twice as an example of a person getting the right quirk for his personality is that in his backstory his own clones killed each other eventually, leaving him alone and wondering if he even was the original Twice or not.

I think quirks are just another facet of a person's personality and sadly can hinge upon a person's flaws or insecurities before they try to grow.

[up] (just on the topic on loneliness in general)

When a person ends up lonely for prolonged periods of time, they tend to enter deep depression and even engage in self-destructive behavior as a result. Including self-mutilation and suicide.

Ya know I’m very curious about new movie now.

It’s apparently using a concept Hori was planning for the final battle but for whatever reason decided to give it to the movie.

I wonder what lead to that.

[up][up]You have a bad habit of latching onto a personal wild mass guess and trying to twist the story and the characters into pretzels trying to make it work. It seems like you just want to show off.

Example: trying to force a Phoenix metaphor onto Hawks.

[up]My guess would be that he at some point changed his mind a bit about how the final battle would turn out. But he didn't want to just toss out this original idea, so it's being incorporated into the movie instead.

[up] "Hawks = Phoenix"?

No, no, no... "Hawks = Icarus" is more appropriate.

Also, what I'm doing does not bring any shred of harm in any way to anybody or anything. It would never affect the actual story and in hindsight, my opinion in this forum is no different than one frog's croaking in a pond (or one stranger in a row of strangers sitting at a bar counter), trying to have a open conversation.

Ease up on the piano-wire there would you?

[up]You were the one trying to force the phoenix metaphor before.

That's my point. You kept insisting on it even though there was pretty much no real grounds for it. It was others such as myself who pointed out that the Icarus theme was more appropriate.

You've done this repeatedly here. And it's getting on peoples' nerves. We've told you this already.

Well, onto something else, bets on Re-Destro vs. Machia? Well he be able to put up somewhat of a fight or will he be totally dominated and it'll end quickly?

Though, I imagine this whole arc will be over in a couple of chapters so...

[up] Re-Destro and Machia puts up one heck of a fight. Re-Destro is on the losing end.

Ends up self-destructing thanks to pushing his quirk way too far.

Machia stands as the winner.

A striking thing is that Re-Destro doesn't necessarily have to fight Giganto.

While he is not aware of it, Giganto is only after Shigaraki & he will ignore you as long as you don't provoke & stay a safe distance.

So that leads to the question if whether Re-Destro will choose to fight Giganto to the death or decide on a retreat & I'm kinda either way of the thing.

So this is apparently promo material for the movie, and it looks really cool.

Apparently the villain's name is "Nine", and if you pay close attention, you can see he's actually in one of the panels from that huge spread in chapter 222. The one about all the things Shigaraki wants to destroy.

[up] Well, Izuku is the "ninth" holder of OFA so I guess that fits with the villain just fine... How does Shigaraki know about him though? That's the question...

Greatings thread. I'm sorry to bug you guys but I was wondering if you guys could help me out. My young cousin's sweet sixteen is coming up and her favorite character is Kirishima and I want to get a pic of him on her birthday cake.

Could you guys link me a quality color pic of him? doesn't even have to be official, I'm just looking for a quality pic. I tried to look it up myself but all the pics I found are pretty low res and/or of him kissing Bakugou.

Regardless of your opinion of the last American election, we can all agree on one thing- The Chinese Communist Party can choke on scrotes!

Now that we've seen more of his family, Shigaraki's hair stands out even more. They all had dark hair, whereas his is some pale blue/white.

Also I got some info from the season premiere. Apparently it adapts 3 chapters & is pretty well-directed action packed comprising of the Leagues encounter with Overhaul & Deku proving himself to Sir Nighteye.
