If it weren't for the fact that they were so expensive and I'm a college student I would buy a PS 4 myself. There's a bunch of games I want to play on it XD Maybe when I move out of my parents' house and get my own place or something.
Anyone been invited to the Alpha?

Nope. Though I have heard from someone that played the demo at a convention that it's actually pretty hard.
I just got an email from Playstation EU asking if I wanted to participate in it so I will hopefully get my code this week.
I wanna get emails
Oh really when? The Nightmare Creatures vibes are through and beyond the motherfucking roof .
I like it. Plays a lot like Demon's Souls, though with more focus on offense and dodging. And, of course, very hard.
this place needs me hereI love the Cleric Beast's insane screeches. That's the sort of Demon's Souls-ean fuckupness that I was missing in the Dark Souls series.
And of course I'm very likely going to play a dual-wielding character again. That scissor-like warped twinblade moveset alone looks more wicked than pretty much anything Dark Souls II had to offer in that regard.

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. The new notes are so cute.
Little skeleton buddies bringing you little scrolls.
Oh really when? The new bloodstains are awesome, too; the skeletons are lamenting around a little headstone, and you can actually hear them cry.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Don't give up, skeleton!
Massive spoilers ahead. Umbasa!
Well you can definitely tell that's the Alpha version XD
I definitely get a Tower of Latria vibe from that video.
I like the music
Oh really when?Gah, I read the spoiler! The temptation was too great!
Staying away from gameplay videos. Like Dark Souls II, I want to know as little as possible about how to fight and stuff like that before playing.
Any word on multiplayer elements though?

Well according to the trope page, if you die your corpse becomes a mini boss, and as you turn more beast like you'll have to kill other players to be turned back to normal.
Have to? I dunno about that. Like I keep saying all over the place, I'm not such a fan of PVP, and certainly not when I'm forced into it.
I didn't know about this miniboss and becoming more beastlike stuff though. And what about co-op play?
Phantoms and selective summoning seem gone; instead you ring a small bell you carry with you to either enter a random player's world, or pull one or several random players into yours. In order to disconnect from a coop game, you carry a pistol that you either use to kill yourself with to leave someone's game, or shoot another player in your game to send them back home.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. That seems rather rude XD If someone's not conforming to your expectations or is trolling you you just go BLAM XD
- BAM -
What I love the most so far is that pretty much everything in the game actually seems to be scared as fuck of you. The standard mooks are constantly screaming for help, and even the more monstrous enemies come across as panicked rather than hostile. The Cleric Beast's high-pitched shrieks in particular sound like the cries of a cornered animal.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.A sequel to Demon's Souls rather than Dark Souls.
Yay. :)
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).
Well, looks like I'm getting a PS 4 by February 5th at the latest then.
