They haven't shut down. They're apparently back, and have a studio on Highland Ave. in L.A.
How do I know? I was there. One side is decorated with the characters from Rugrats, the other, characters from Aaahh Real Monsters.

I've heard about the comeback, and it sounds great, but the YMMV page calls it "deader than disco", which doesn't sound too good.
But that's awesome that you've been there!
