I always did think it was kinda funny the Hellion was the only hero that looked outright fearful when attacked (haven't tried the DLC heroes though). I suppose that makes sense now...
Speaking of which, I can't imagine how the Vestal comic will be now. It's a tall order to try to put "So repressed that she's ashamed for having a sex drive" on the same level as stuff like "Accidental murder", "Escaped a mob killing as a child" or "Possibly sacrificed a human".
The Vestal and the Musketeer are the only ones without origin comics yet, right? Or did I miss someone else?
Those two are indeed the remainders.
Oh. Because booting the game back up and doing two quests with the color of madness installed already gives me back one of the two victims of come unto your maker.
Well yes certainly, that's already half of the biggest middle finger I can make to the final boss, I'll take it.
Now for the awkward moment of training a bunch of rookies to level 3-4 to take down the first boss.
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."Welp. Downed the miller and killed the thirty first ennemies of endless mode (I've got some work ahead of me it seems)
I think either I have a massive bias toward highwaymans, or they're one of the best all-around classes. In any case, I end up putting one in about any comp I do.

"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."The Highwayman is The Mario of Darkest Dungeon classes. Now there's a total conversion I'd like to see. But yeah, he's designed to be able to work at any range, deals good damage, and is reasonably tough, so he's never a bad choice.
I do tend to find the other classes more fun though. Other than stuff like Highwayman/Grave Robber/Jester/whoever, where it's all about constantly shuffling your party order.
...it appears to literally be her letting a fire go out to due being too busy having naughty daydreams, I think inspired from stained glass.
Also she seems bi.

Bi could be part of it. I imagine this is her thinking about herself as a sexual being for the first time in who knows how long — erect nipples, diaphanous robes rather than a nun's cassock. Who knows what she's imagining doing with her mouth. She's probably used to keeping her body hidden and doing all she can to keep anyone, including herself, from thinking about it. Here she's putting herself in butterfly girl's place.
It looks to me like it's not just a daydream based on a stained glass window or bas-relief, but rather something that's actually happening right outside that window. And Vestal comes from "Vestal Virgin" — they have two jobs, keeping the sacred fire burning for Vesta, goddess of the hearth, and being, y'know, virgins.
All things considered it's tamer than I expected.
And then she just HAD to know, I guess.
I would admittedly be kind of curious too on what the hell that was. You don't experience a vision like that and then just go "Huh. odd."
Interesting. The text on her CC trinkets made me assume her adventuring purposes were from vanity. It turns out she just caught a glimpse of how things truly are...
Man, now I've lost two Shieldbreakers in a row to heart attacks. Is it a class feature? I could blame the trinkets I was giving to them were raising their stress levels, but not this dramatically.
Also is there a point in not visiting other areas until you're done with the current one? I'm only visiting the Ruins and the Warrens right now, other dungeons are left untouched.
Spiral out, keep going.well doing only some areas will leave you with level 3 or 5 bosses in an area while some still won't have their first boss down. which means your best units won't be available for the lower-rank quests once they are at max level. I guess it depends on playstyle, but I found it easier to level up every one at once by rotating the roster and therefore advance each area at more or less the same pace.
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."It seems to me that the nature of the stress mechanics and other things such as diseases and quirks forces you to rotate your party frequently anyway. Been a while since I played now, but I think my roster was a spread between levels 2 and 6, though not especially even; I have a feeling many of my Vestals were higher level and I had a hard time making a fully low level party.
I had been wondering the other day what determines the difficulty level of quests; is it simply game progression, or is it calculated from the level of your roster?
I think it's some sort of average based off your heroes' levels. I'm pretty sure you'll always see a mission from every difficulty level though, just when most of your heroes' are 5 and 6, it'll mostly be red ones.
Re: Shieldbreakers, the nightmare they get after camping gives them a giant Stress spike plus Horror 20. Bring Laudanum, and maybe a Jester.
I thought Laudanum doesn't work in the nightmares, or was that changed?
Ahhh, you're right, never mind me. Just make sure you don't rest with her in the party if she's already close to the edge, I guess.
Daaaamn.
Just a couple of wealth and taste enjoying themselves.◊
Very...particular taste.
I don't play Dota2, but I do listen to Wayne June, so here's the Ancestor's Dota2 Announcer.

Tell that to the animesque reskin mods in the workshop.
Anyway, quick PSA: the Steam modding system has an invisible limit to it. The number of mods that can be loaded differs greatly from system to system depending on the machine's specs, but generally larger mods that either introduce new continuous mechanics (e.g. The Falconer, The Fool, miniboss mods, etc.) or are heavy on assets (e. g. dungeon backdrop addition mods) can take multiple counts towards the limit. Past that limit (which unfortunately is up to each player to discover for themselves), the game simply crashes during any loading session.
I learned this the hard way earlier today.
Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need!
Preeetty much.
