Firefox crashing on TV Tropes pages

Just starting this morning, my Firefox (version 24) has been crashing frequently on TV Tropes. I first noticed it on forum thread pages, and for a while the wiki pages seemed to be working okay, but now they're crashing too (I have not yet observed the crash on any page of a sort other than those two, but that could be a statistical fluke). Firefox just hangs, using up 50% CPU (i.e. all of one core) and eating an extra few megabytes of memory every second until I kill it from the Task Manager. The crash does not always occur, but so far it seems to happen in about 1 of every 4 or 5 pageloads, with no obvious regularity. The icon for the page tab is the 'loading' animation (frozen in place), suggesting that when the crash occurs, it does so before the page has finished loading.

No other sites seem to be presenting any new problem for Firefox, and Internet Explorer does not seem to experience any similar issue (although of course I don't have a knowage cookie on IE). I've tried turning off all my user scripts that could possibly be running on TV Tropes pages (with no apparent effect), but I'm still running Firebug 1.12.3, Flashblock 1.5.17, Google Reverse Image Search 1.1.2 and Tin Eye Reverse Image Search 1.1, among a few other standard plugins and extensions. When the crash first occurred, I had not changed any other settings on Firefox or updated anything since yesterday (when the site seemed to be working fine), so I'm guessing that something new on the site (either a change in the code or a new kind of banner ad) is causing the problem. Given that I haven't seen any other posts about this, it seems that I'm the only one having the problem.

The site is basically unusable for me until this is fixed, so yeah, any ideas?
