...Seems rather...far from Appleoosa.
And in the opposite direction.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position....Wait, what was the point of getting the keys in a stealthy way if you're going to get the sheriff away from the room? You could get the keys when he's gone. Your stealth telekinesis was unnecessary.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. And with that, Most Wanted in Appleoosa is seen!
Six stories until Amending Fences.

I don't think most babysitters expect their charges to climb out the window or something.
Also, I think you'd get a few weird looks from the parents if you did that.

Optimism is a duty.If you're so committed to keeping them from leaving the place that you put all those locks on your door and sit in a chair in front of said door then not locking the windows seems to be a rather massive faux-pas.
Edit: Also, yep, "braejack" is a thing. It's on derpibooru, look it up if you want.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I thought Braeburn was AJ's cousin.
Not that that'd stop shipping, but still.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself. He is.
He even mentions it in the same story:
Edit edit: Braeburn also has an answer to that.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I prefer Soarbrae personally.
I read that as Sombrae and was like, what?
Optimism is a duty. Now that would be one hell of a crackship.
I'm into it.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself. The suddenly forested Appleloosa was one of the things I remembered most about that episode as well. It was very weird.
Especially since in a Doylist sense, Appleloosa's hat is "Wild West Town" and thus should be in a permanent desert/prairie type environment.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayMaybe that apple forest went wild.
Optimism is a duty.I don't remember the episode well, but I'm pretty sure those weren't apple trees.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI didn't see any apples near those trees.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position....it doesn't have a Tree of Harmony keeping it in check, after all....
Maybe all forests are just evil?

Optimism is a duty.Well the town had only been up for a year in "Over A Barrel", and the episode with Troubleshoes was years later. Maybe irrigation and magic and stuff had helped to green the place up.
A year and a bit more at most since it was exactly a year after Sparkles moved to Ponyville that Sparkles became a "Princess".

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlaySo, today is Make New Friends but Keep Discord and The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone.
Huh. A discord story and my first Cutie Map story.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position."Make New Friends but Keep Discord" is still my favorite episode title in the series. The only thing I'd change about the name is the addition of parentheses.
"Make New Friends (but Keep Discord)"
I think the title works better if the first half is pronounced in an upbeat and positive way, and then the second is added as a hastily rushed whisper. The parentheses help lead to that reading.

Man, I adore this story so far, I really do. It's probably the best discord story I've seen so far in that it's actually really hilarious and the story is sufficient.
Edit:
...Can this Fluttershy stay? She's perfect.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I have seen Make New Friends but Keep Discord!
It's everything I would want from a discord story: it's hilarious (I was even crying tears of laughter at one point) and discord actually learns from it and apologizes.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. If I have to pick episodes to basically be the critical "Must Watch" episodes for Discord, I think those episodes would be:
- Return of Harmony two-parter
- Keep Calm and Flutter On
- Princess Twilight Sparkle two-parter
- Make New Friends but Keep Discord
- Dungeons & Discords
- To Where and Back Again two-parter
- Discordant Harmony
There are other episodes that Discord's been in - some pretty good, even, like "What About Discord?" - but these are the ones that I think really encapsulate "The Story of Discord". Like, you know those DVDs where they grab episodes for a specific theme instead of a sequential chunk of the series? If I was making a Discord DVD, these are the ones I'd pick.
If you watch those episodes in that order, you get a pretty concise narrative.

Based on the map that I'm sure nobody writing any MLP episode has ever actually referenced when planning the geography for their story, I'd wager they're at the southern end of the Everfree Forest, near the Castle of Two Sisters.
