In Animal Crossing, when I'm the first person to play a town, I usually name it some sort of pun on the game system it's on: one of my GameCube towns was Jicien (and it's island was Jibiae), a DS town was Diess, and on 3DS I have Thridson.

Whenever I play Civilization V and found a religion, I almost always default to renaming it "Atheism". Occasionally something civ-specific, like "Montezumism" for the Aztecs or "IKEA" for Sweden.
