What would be a good English (academic) translation of the poetic Edda?

The next Assassins Creed game will be set in the Viking Age, so reading up on some Norse mythology sounds fun.

^ AFAIK The Poetic Edda by Carolyne Larrington (1996) and The Elder Edda by Andy Orchard (2011) are the most recent academic translations.

Let's just say and leave it at that.
