Even if he remembered, it is not like Flash "talks" with the symbiont much, leaving it sedated most of time and all. One of the most recent issues have the symbiont remarking resentful on that fact.

EDIT:That said, inside OMD logic, it is not that absurd the symbiont wouldn't remember Perter's identity. The thing still have memory, after all, so it is not surprising the memory can be effected by magic. Although, it should be able to figure it out on its own after Spider-Island.

Btw, is the symbiont officially called 'Venom' now? I am not sure. I remember 'Venom' was specifically the name of the entity formed by Eddie + symbiont, originally. But I guess this have changed since then? And now 'Venom' is both the symbiont name and the code name for anyone wearing it?

EDIT 2:In fact, is it ever explained how much of Venom's personality is the host and how much is the symbiont? Eddie!Venom have a different personality from Gargan!Venom, but obviously the symbiont have its own personality as well. When Flash loses control, does his own personality still influences Venom's?

I think that over the years the name Venom has come to denote the symbiote as well as the person wearing it.

Also the symbiote's personality and how much it contributes to that of the host is probably one of the most wildly fluctuating case of Depending on the Writer in comics.

Really, I don't blame Flash for trying to keep the symbiote subdued since it's already had him bite off an arm and a head.

I don't think anyone does. On the other hand, it is hard to blame to symbiont for resenting Flash either. Being left drugged all time is not cool.

Now I'm picturing Venom snorting coke and Mick Jagger pokes his head in the dressing room door, and says, "Bloody hell, Venom, we're on in five minutes!"

I've always thought that Flash and the Symbiote going through couples counseling would be funny.

Flash: "There's no give-and-take in this relationship! Sometimes, this marriage doesn't feel symbiotic at all! Sometimes, I think you're just a..."

Symbiote: "What? What? Say it!"

Flash: "A parasite!"

Symbiote: "(gasp!) How can you say that? How can you say that after all we've been through?"

But who would be the therapist is all I must ask?

When has that ever been an obstacle in comics? Seriously, I would not be surprised in the least if his ghost is working as a psychiatrist.

I had a question I thought I would field. Why does Jessica Drew never seem to get written with any kind of British accent despite being British?

Call it her spy training, I guess. She learned how to hide her accent. Or something. Even in her original series, she never really seemed to use British slang or anything, that I can recall.

Isn't she a spy or something? Maybe she just got used to fake an American accent as a way to go unnoticeable.

Still it seems odd that she would be hiding her accent at all times.

I didn't even know she was British until I watched the first episode of that awful Spider-Woman "motion comic" from a few years ago.

Again, she probably just got used to. For how long have she been doing that now? Looking quickly at her page in wikipedia, she became an Hydra agent when she was 17 years old. She can't be younger than 20 now and I would personally place her at late twenties. That means she have been either hiding her accent or exposed only to American English for some years already. By know, even if her accent appear in the way her words sound, I don't find weird her vocabulary is mostly American by now.

Eh I guess if the explanation can work for Black Widow I suppose it can work for Spider-Woman.
