It needed more episodes, more DLC, to lean into that "Cartoon" feeling - and to expand its premise. The world and story were GOOD. Hell, the shooting was good too.
But yeah, there wasn't enough to DO over and over. And the main ship felt kinda lifeless.
I think it'd have been better if you had a main character (The Playa) and those other characters were squadmates you could bring along. And their powers were something you could get access to.
SR 5... well, I'm glad we're getting another one BUT I share that same tentativeness. I felt SR 4 went TOO OTT. I enjoyed it, but it lacked the heart of SR 2, as well as the feeling of stakes.
I hope we get an SR 3, basically - zany OTT madness, but tempered with much more in the way of seriousness.
