Interesting that there's no topic for this guy, until now that is. He's currently one of my favorite gaming commentators on Youtube.

Let's start with this video on why he doesn't do requests:

Certainly a good youtuber to follow, I really enjoy a lot of his videos (particularly his video about why you shouldn't pre-order games)

That being said i really didn't like this last video, particularly because of one line. "This has 244 thumbs up. This indicates a fairly serious problem within the viewer base." A youtube comment that makes a veiled request (That is, relative to many youtube comments, not particularly demanding) gets upvoted by 244 people. You have 970k subs, 244 people upvote a not particularly egregious comment and that is a fairly serious problem? Comes off sounding a bit like a rich jerks problem, i imagine plenty of my subs that have like 10k subscribers would kill to have 500 people demanding something they hate with zeal if it meant having 900k subscribers XD

Must be another one of those "straw that broke the camel's back" type problems. He gets so much of this stuff, despite repeatedly stating the same thing about not doing requests, that it's really starting to annoy him to the point of going through with making a video on the subject in the first place.

I've just recently just started following Total Biscuit, so this thread is a happy coincidence.

While I agree with what he says in the latest video (it's not practical or a good idea to try and take requests from fans) I don't think this was really something that needed a video to be explained. In my opinion, if you find yourself dealing with demanding fans like he obviously is, then the best policy is usually to just ignore them. As was said above, 200 viewers is a drop in the ocean.

Yeah, I'm not subscribed to him but I watch his stuff a lot. I'm actually in the middle of he and Jesse Cox's playthrough of Terraria.

There's a shitstorm going on the comments section of the latest The Game Station podcast. Something about TB banning people and "suppressing my speech" and people whining like little bitches. Though it's most likely a misunderstanding gone completely and totally wrong.

[up][up]I think I know the reason why he doesn't ignore the haters easily. He might have legit mental health issues or something. He has something that prevents him from performing well in stuff like puzzle games (can't remember the condition at the moment). He also has a short temper, so that might have something to do with it.

EDIT: found out his condition. It's dyspraxia.

So here's a video that TB's wife made as a joke that was taken down from her channel because someone (likely a fan who can't take a joke) flagged it for bullying. TB reuploaded it to his channel for everyone else to see until the situation is resolved.

Over the last week since his video on why he doesn't do requests, he has disabled the ability to like/dislike comments in the comments section. Must be a temporary measure until people realize exactly what he's trying to do. I dunno.

He just released a WTF Is of the new Sim City. It's a long one (90 minutes) and is done in collaboration with his wife Genna:

In episode 60 of Content Patch, TB spends the latter half of the video discussing the God of War Ascension trophy controversy started by Adam Sessler a few days ago. Namely, that Sessler pointed out the trophy name is misogynistic.

After his time in PAX East and other stuff, TB posts a VLOG that brings up the relatively low view count for many of his videos made during that time (stuff like covering Transistor, Nvidia Project Shield, and a bunch of random indie games that no one has heard of).

Ah yes, this guy.

I've only watched one or two of his videos (to be specific, I think it's called Train Simulator or something), but he seems to be an amusing enough fellow.

[up][up]Why should anyone ever give a crap about PAX? Seriously, wtf is he complaining about.

I mean no offense but this video comes out as rather complainy.... Everyone and their moms cover PAX. So obviously he'll get less view, he's covering the same crap everyone's covering, and (by his own admission) doesn't give his opinion on them. So what's there to set his videos appart.

He just seems honestly confused as to why less people are suddenly watching his videos than before. Luckily, a lot of people came in with their viewpoints and they were compiled in this thread from Reddit.

I'd say he was a little shortsighted about the whole PAX coverage thing. I mean, yes, he's one of the most popular gaming commentators on Youtube at the moment, so naturally he thought that covering a popular event like PAX would get him a lot of views because more people value his thoughts on what he sees than with others. Then again, as it turns out, pretty much all his videos from PAX were generic game journalist playthroughs with Dev Commentary, and the people spoke up accordingly.

Yesterday, TB uploaded a VLOG detailing what he's gonna do for future convention footage based on the feedback he received from his fans.

In the process of watching the video, but just wondering: has TB ever addressed why he doesn't put a screenshot of the game in his "WTF is...?" series?

Branding mostly. Makes those videos more recognizable for people who know his work.

So, now Totalbiscut does Orion: Dino Horde, which is a rebranded Orion: Dino Beatdown, and no less bad.

Highlights include the derpasaurus and TB's 'asshole seal' analogy.

Doesn't seem that bad. Then I saw the $15 price point. Now I think it's worth $5 for the derpasaurus.

BTW, I've read reports from people who've actually played it, not shills or trolls. They say it actually is a noticeable improvement over Dino Beatdown, but still not worth the $15. As mentioned before though, it's probably worth $5 for a few laughs with friends, especially with that derpasaurus.

I don't care about Orion after the development scandal where it was implied that the lead guy fired all of his developers and ran off with the cash.

He also did a video on God Mode. He says it's not that good, yet there are people in the comments section that aren't as bothered by the supposed grind as he was.

Earlier today, TB released a video called "PSA - Zeno Clash 2 is Defective by Design," with the main complaints being the field of view and the braindead AI of the player's partners. It has since been taken down after ACE Team released a patch today fixing those issues (at least the fov one). Some people think he overreacted to the issues. Others think his grievances are justified, but perhaps he could have used a bit less extravagant wording than "defective by design."
