My, how quickly Brink was forgotten.
Not sure how I feel about this game. Looks a little been-there-done-that for me to get excited just yet. But it shouldn't be too hard to improve on their last release.
^Hey, I liked Brink.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelBrink wasn't bad, but there's certainly a reason that hardly anybody plays it anymore. I mean, hell, it took me a month before I could actually play it at a slightly acceptable framerate.
Let's hope this game's release isn't as shaky as Brink's was.
Currently in beta now.
This game is essentially sitting comfortably in between Enemy Territory and Brink, having most of the mobility of the latter (but without the canned parkour animations, instead relying on classic long- and walljump skills), and the more well-defined class roles and focused and fleshed out mission design of the former. So far it's making a pretty damn good impression. It's rather traditional in many ways, but that is absolutely not a bad thing in light of how shallow and reward-driven most FPS games are nowadays.

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.I hear that Splash Damage will be going with the League of Legends pay model.
Befittingly so, considering that Dirty Bomb's class selection is actually somewhat MOBA-like in nature.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.I noticed no one mentioned that the game's development is stopping because it simply wasn't profitable enough to do so, but if you still just wanted to play more, all monetization will be removed from the game as well with previously-microtransaction content being available only via free currency.
