Tonight On Arrow: Shaky Cam! [lol]

And also some evil guy in powered armor but I think Shaky Cam is the more immediate threat.

Diggle, STFU.

Okay the fight with the armored guy was badass. [tup]

And the mayor is basically Agent Watson all over again, except somewhat smarter. So that's nice.

Nega-Laurel really came through with some good decisions too and basically saved the team up in here.

And now the whole crew's been deputized.

Curtis is speaking TRUTH in the episode preview! [lol]

Heh. Little blonde girl sure hates Vigilantes.

And Connor is back. I never considered that we'd see that Star City again, but then again it stopped being just a possible timeline the moment Flashpoint became a thing.

So, if I heard right, then Blackstar is actually Mia Dearden. Which means that not only do we have the character who inspired Thea (Mia), but also the character whom Thea inspired (Emiko) in the same season, which is amazing. (Also Thea herself was in this episode, but only for a second.)

And damn, do I love that they brought back Conner Hawke. The Legends of Tomorrow episode that introduced him was called "Star City 2046," while an upcoming Arrow episode is called "Star City 2040," so I'm guessing the flashforwards take place six years before that episode does. So Conner isn't the new Green Arrow yet — but I bet we'll see just when he will become the new Green Arrow. (Not sure of Mia will become the new Speedy/Red Arrow or if they are going for another twist.)

Also, I just realized that the bad guys name was "Kevin Meltzer" — Kevin Smith + Bad Meltzer. Godammit, Arrow.

Is that the same actor who played Connor Hawke/John Diggle Jr. on Legends?

And when we got to see Thea onscreen, even if it was only for a moment, my heart just melted.

Now, that was a pretty dope episode! And yes, it is the same actor.

Chimera was quite badass for a one-shot villain too.

What's the in-universe explanation for Oliver and Barry knowing each other?

There was a break-in/theft/murder at a Queen Consolidated building. Barry Allen, Central City CSI, came to the crime scene to help with the investigation, where he ran into Oliver Queen and his then-secretary Felicity Smoak, with whom he got a bit of a romance going, and they've all stayed in touch since then.

And now the kid is s-t'n on Oliver. whoo.

And something something flash forwards.

Alright now this is a villain. Get Psycho!

Green Arrow Chili? Run away Felicity! You aren't ready for that!

And now there's some senile old people here to continue the Oliver bash fest.

So when are we going to start hunting the psychopath?

This is soooo boring.

Okay, scary house, finally something the audience wants to watch. Now we're getting somewhere with this!

Curtis speaking truth. And yep, that's why you shouldn't split up in a horror setting.

Did they seriously cauterize her with a freaking laser beam? [lol]

Oliver: "My teammates would never hurt me."

Oh Ollie, how soon we forget the past seasons. [lol]

I'm honestly curious about where this season is going. For the first half, we had Diaz as the Big Bad and I thought that Stanley might be the Big Bad for the second half, but he only lasted an episode, so I guess they might be bringing the whole Dante plot into the foreground now instead of just leaving it in the background.

I'm loving the flashforwards, though, even though I already pretty much guessed that Blackstar was Felicity's daughter.

I'm also sad to see Curtis go, but I'm glad he went out on his own terms after pretty much refusing to compromise his morals at ARGUS. I wonder if he'll show up in the flashforwards?

Stanley was extremely creepy, really liked it. The future scenes are getting more interesting by each episode.

And yeah, sad thing about Curtis. But hey, maybe he'll join Team Flash, now that he is in Central City and Carlos Valdes is probably leaving the series after the season?

No, William's going to Central City; Curtis is going to D.C.

Though I suppose that leaves him available to join the Time Bureau on Legends.

[up]That's fair, but on the other hand, they've had at least three evil speedsters so far right? I'm not entirely sure if the benefits outweigh the costs here.

Why not, say, Florida or something? Has anything happened there yet?

Central City has a lot more cases of bad guys almost destroying large chunks of the city, but in Star City those guys are less likely to be thwarted at the last second.

Are there any DC heroes or villains that originate from Florida?

Originate? Not sure. Operate out of? Absolutely. In fact, Starfire had a pretty great series in which she lived in Florida for a while.
